We enjoyed a fantastic 3 night stay at the hotel. The room was exactly as pictured, spacious and with a fantastic bathroom. The breakfast was a generous portion and could be had in your room or in the bar at the front of the hotel. Everything was catered to our needs and we would not hesitate to stay again

15 minute walk to St. Alexander Nevsky Cathedral. And five minute walk to the nearest metro stop. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean. Several restaurants in the area you can walk to. The balcony is nice but no special view.

Lovely, small hotel in a great location. Room was spacious, modern and individually designed by an artist. There was some noise from the road outside and next door bar. At the time of writing, the hotel was having some renovation work which meant breakfast needed to be taken in the room or hotel lobby. However, I was won over by the place and would definitely stay here again if I return to Sofia.

Very modern hotel in great locals' area
We experienced serious teething problems with the newly refurbished hotel (external door cards did not work so we were locked out until receptionist got taxi from home to let us in; TV not set up; no shutter over skylight so we could not sleep after dawn; bar/restaurant not open so we had basic breakfast, with no drink etc choices, served in room). Staff were very helpful and apologetic.

very charming private boutique hotel
A friendly manager, charming neighbors, clean and amazingly big with decently decorated room :) i was happy to stay here with my love ;) hotel has only 2 or 3 rooms on each floor so it was private and room and bathroom size was bigger than i expected. and mostly i like its modern baroque interior style. also i enjoyed the park and restaurants near the hotel. they were so charming. the breakfast they served was nice, specially cherry jam was delicious. :)

Nicest place in Sofia with great parks, bars, and restaurants. You can walk anywhere from here. Unfortunately, the AC was broken in our room, although they'd had someone in to fix it a few days earlier. After some back and forth, Juliana at the front desk put us in another larger room. She was terrific, as was our entire stay. Can't recommend this place highly enough.

The hotels was in development and I was shocked to find this out on arrival... The manager relocated me to another hotel (different type - I have selected this property because of its style, while I was hosted in a small, unpleasant room) a mile away.

Petit hotel adorable, séjour en chambre (il y a aussi des suites). ameublement très "cosi", on n'a pas l'impression d'être dans un hotel mais dans une chambre confortable et très personnelle. grand choix de petit-déjeuners. le seul bémol est qu'il faut dire la veille à quelle heure on le prendra, c'est la rançon d'un petit hôtel avec une petite salle à manger. le quartier est super, plein de bonnes adresses (le salon de thé à 100 m est très bon et ressemble à une bonbonnière... ) et à 15 min du centre ville. Personnel très aimable et serviable.

A few small improvements could be made
Sofia Residence is a charming small hotel of character with an excellent family restaurant attached and in a good location for local sight seeing. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Our room was very spacious with a king sized bed. Unfortunately the duvet was not king sized which resulted in a disturbed night! Overall it was a pleasant stay but we would have welcomed tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Best location in town
The hotel staff was very accommodating. I did not like the first room, because the elevator was not going to this floor. The changed my room next day. Both rooms were very clean Excellent service. The location is the best thing about it, close to: Alexander Nevsky Cathedral Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski" National Assembly and more. Do not forget your camera I will definitely try to book this hotel on my next visit

I cannot rate the hotel as when we arrived we were informed that electrical power had been lost to our room and could not be fixed. Our host had booked us into a business apartment and got a taxi to take us there. The apartment was clean and met our needs.

Very pleasant hotel & great value
I highly recommend this hotel. Located on a quiet street, a block from a huge modern mall. Room was very spacious, comfortable, clean and had all amenities. Hotel staff most friendly. Will be sure to return if ever in Sofia again. Great value!

Wonderful hotel on quiet tree lined street
what a great place to stay while exploring Sofia. The room was beautiful, I enjoyed the breakfast options and the staff were so very kind and helpful. Everything was within walking distance. I had a suite which was huge, wonderfully decorated and very quiet. I enjoyed being in a small independent hotel and felt very much at home. The in house massage was another great amenity.

Perfect hotel at a perfect location with very nice staff. All service we needed we got. The restaurant even had food for us vegetarians and some really nice wines. The breakfast was ordered the day before type and time to be served.

Quiet Boutique Hotel in the heart of Sofia
I stayed here for about a week in February and found it to be a wonderful experience. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I stayed in two different rooms at the beginning and end of my trip to Bulgaria. Each suite was beyond my expectations, with large spa bathrooms and multiple rooms. The hotel is in a quiet area with easy access to restaurants and cafes in walking distance. Breakfast was either delivered to room or in the common area, made to order. I highly recommend this hotel.

Lovely Boutique Hotel in great part of Sofia
We were in Sofia for a combination of business and vacation. The Sofia Residence is a lovely, pensionne style hotel, with cozy yet modern, clean and comfortable rooms. The staff is extremely attentive to detail, helpful and nice. They offer several breakfast options, delivered to your room, each delicious! In addition to a restaurant downstairs, there are several excellent places to eat or have a drink nearby in this most beautiful neighborhood. We stayed in two different rooms, both lovely. One was a single room, the other more of a suite with a balcony. (See pictures below) HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL!!

Lovely hotel!
The room was lovely! It was large and cozy and the bed was very comfortable. Small things needed repairs, like the shower head leaked and the balcony door leaked some rain water inside, but it wasn't a big deal. The reception staff was so helpful with offering me places to eat, calling a taxi, and printing out my flight's boarding pass. There is no common area to sit and relax so I just sat outside at the restaurant and got some fresh air. If I return, I will definitely stay here again. I love it :)

Great hotel. Love the rooms, area, and service. One of the nicest and most unique hotels I've stayed in. Only problem was the noise from outside. They should install soundproof windows. They were very accommodating though and moved us to a quitter room, further from the restaurant outside.

We were very happy with the week we spent at the Sofia Residence. The room, which was one of the lesser expensive ones, was generous in size and the ambiance of the room and hotel was delightful in a nice, relatively quiet, but convenient, location. The room was clean, the bed was quite comfortable, the bathroom was nice - the shower was great, the included breakfast was excellent. Excellent value for the money. Would definitely stay here again.

Idyllic escape
Had a wonderful 2 night stay with my husband for our first anniversary. Hosts were very welcoming, the scenery is beautiful and within a short walk of a beautiful vineyard that you can tour. Absolutely loved our stay, the breakfast was hearty and well cooked and we will absolutely be staying there again!
