Great location
The location can’t be beat for the pools / hot tub and beach - this condo complex is great. This condo was roomy enough for our 7 person extended family group however, the comfy couch shown in the living room photo was not what was there when we arrived, so hanging out together in the living room after a long day at the beach did not happen. The couches that were there were uncomfortable. The place was clean enough but a good deep cleaning and a few more dishes and coffee cups in the kitchen would go a long way to make this place the best.

Great location
We were traveling for soccer and found this location to be perfect. We had four high school girls and three adults, everyone had plenty of room. Access to the pool and beach was a must! The garage was stocked with everything you could need for the beach. The location was great, near groceries and gas. Easy to get to San Diego to see sights or walk out the beach. Even with the county fair going, it was quiet at night.

Such a great gem.
My family had such a wonderful time staying at this unit in DMBC. The stocked kitchen was great for cooking in and all the space we needed was spot on! Loved the private community and access to the beach.

This is my first bad review of many VRBO stays. This property could be great, but it really needs help. I was ok with the tiredness, linens and towels, a small hole in the wall and leaky roofs. BUT, when my granddaughter arrived and starting crawling around, we noticed peeling paint that I hadn't noticed before. The manager sent a painter to fix it. When he scraped off the paint, there was black mold underneath. He asked if I had any bleach. I told him I was renting, so he went to get some and painted over it. I couldn't stay there. My grandson has respiratory issues and the baby crawling, no way. I threw out 500 dollars of groceries and we all went to a hotel. I called Warren, who said I would be refunded the 10 nights left on my reservation. I thought I should be refunded the total amount, and told him so. VRBO called me and confirmed that the rest of my reservation had been cancelled. Long story short, I never received a refund. The owner said I could have a credit for future use. First, I live on the east coast, and second, no way would I rent this place again. VRBO trip insurance also denied my claim. Just a nightmare.

Great location in San Diego
Our family visited in March 2023. The condo is in a great location in Solana Beach, easy to get to/from the airport and downtown. We felt very safe, and it was private. There was a Whole Foods near by which was a plus. The bedrooms were a good size. The bathrooms were fine, but the showers were not great. They are definitely in need of an update. The first floor living area was spacious and good for a family. There were 4 pools. One was heated which we needed because it was chilly in San Diego. It closed mid way through our trip for renovations, which the owners alerted us. That was nice they gave us a heads up. The property did heat another pool which was good. Overall I would say the pools and hot tub were ok. The tennis courts were in great shape.

Wonderful Beach Condo!!
We had a wonderful stay at this large and beautiful condo in the Del Mar Beach Club!! It has everything you could want or need. Easy beach access and the beach was not over crowded. They had chairs, umbrellas and towels for everyone. The living areas are very spacious, kitchen is big with everything we needed for cooking at home. We played games in the large living room and our whole party of 7 could easily fit. The master bedroom is a dream and all of the beds and bedrooms were very comfortable!! Our family had a wonderful stay here. We could walk to wonderful restaurants, coffee and charming shops. Warren was helpful and very easy to work with. We were sad to leave and hope to stay here again in the future!!

Christmas week Stay
This VRBO was a great choice for families with many different age groups. Sleeping accommodations were comfortable and having a fully equipped kitchen great!! The pools were super close and the beach a sort walk through the neighborhood. Everything was working well and there were plenty of beachy extras in the garage. It was a central location with the Zoo, Balboa Park, great restaurants all under a half hour drive.

Well-equipped beach property location.
This property had literally everything a typical family would want/need to enjoy the beach experience. I brought a few things along that I knew I really wanted to have, only to find I basically wasted car space by taking it along. 🤣. We are well out of the baby stage, but not so far out of it to not fully appreciate how many baby items the property had: high chair, double jogging stronger, pack and play, along with lots of indoor toys and coloring supplies for the littles (if you have any). Plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas, etc. we had a couple questions come up along the way that our host responded to immediately and followed up to make sure we were still good. The layout was totally perfect for this busy, big family that finds making dinners and packing lunches a much less stressful more economical option than eating out. Super open kitchen, generous sized table, and a large grill that I used for cooking. One thing to be aware of that can be common with beach properties: there is no A/C in this unit, and because it does not face the coast directly and is towards the back of the property (ie not super close to the coast), there is little in the way of an ocean breeze that passes through. The unit has lots of fans, which we kept on non-stop, especially since the last day or two of our stay involved a major heat wave. On our final day, however, the thermostat pretty much always read 84, and it was pretty miserable. We figured that made for a great excuse to head to the movie theaters; it was honestly just too hot even to visit the beach or a pool at that point. Loved using this property as “home” for our family beach vacation! Thanks a bunch!

Fall Break
We met one of our adult children and 3 grandchildren for a fall break in San Diego. The property was perfect for the 7 of us. The outdoor patio with gas fire pit provided the perfect setting for evening conversations. Also very close to grocery store ,shopping, and good restaurants. Warren, the property manager, was excellent and helpful to answer our questions. The master bed was comfortable:) Highly recommend the property.

Absolutely Amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better location for our family. My favorite north county location
This was the second time we’ve stayed in one of this owner’s properties and the second time we’ve been so sad to go. The condo was spotless, the location is terrific. We rarely leave north county when we stay and are able to walk to pretty much everything we need. Lots to do and see or simply walk down the steps for a chill beach day. If you’re a dog person and miss your pups at home, be sure to walk around the corner on 101 for fun beach time with local pups of all shapes and sizes frolicking at dog beach.

We’ve been coming for 15 years and always stay at DMBC. Over the years we have tried several properties and this has been the best. We appreciated that it wasn’t cluttered with lots of Knick knacks, the couch was comfy, kitchen appliances were updated and having two parking spaces was a plus!

Perfect Family Vacation
We stayed for 10 days at this great condo and loved it! It was great for kids (boogie board and surf board in the garage were a fun surprise and thanks for the beach towels too). The back patio was just perfect for cocktails after a busy day :) The beach was beautiful! The location was awesome! While it is a bit of a drive to SD proper, it was easy during off hours and La Jolla / Del Mar were right in our neighborhood! Thank you for giving some old So Cal-ers a chance to revisit old haunts and show our kids (it was a long trip from MN) We hope to be back soon! We really appreciate Warren's availability and all his help while we were there! :) Thank you!!!!!!!

A 5 STAR CONDO
This is a three bedroom condo in a complex on the beach. One does not walk across a street to get to the beach, but only a minute or two through the complex, then down the stairs to the beach. The condo is spacious (we had 5 adults and two children) and well laid out. The beach is wide and long. Within a 10 minute drive are a supermarket and multiple restaurants. The condo is well equipped with beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, boogie boards, even a two seater baby carriage. It was a pleasure.

Great space for families
Checking in is a little cumbersome, they send you down the street to another property to access a combo lockbox. The lockbox is located in a big box which was not relayed to us. No markings on the box to alert you the lock boxes are inside. It took a while to figure that out. The unit was good. Lots of beach stuff, chairs, sun shade, toys, boogie boards, even beach towels. There is a book in the unit with information which is outdated. Our daughter went for a run and got locked out of the complex. She was following the instructions to call the house via the front gate. There is no active phone so that did not work. Overall the stay was enjoyable. No big issues to speak of. I would rent the unit again.

Great Location
Excellent location for family San Diego area vacation- short drive to all major attractions we wanted. Pools were excellently cleaned and close to the property- hot tub was at nearest pool and super hot too! Ocean views from queen and bunk bed rooms were great. Very quiet property. Beach access was perfect. Tons of beach toys and gear. Lovely to watch the hummingbirds and other birds from the kitchen and dining windows.

Rude management.
We did not start out on a good foot. Was having trouble getting a hold of Libby for the arrival instructions. Instead of emailing them before hand you are supposed to text the day you arrive, because traveling isn’t stressful enough. After multiple attempts I decided to contact the second person Libby has listed under her contacts. Comes to find out he hasn’t worked for her in years. Time for an update?? After almost an hour of no response Warren calls. He was very contradicting and acted as if I was an annoyance to even ask for the arrival instructions. Argued with me about how they were already sent when were not received on my end. Text, email or through messenger. Very rude. Not the warmest of welcomes to say the least. First impression the condo is a little rundown, but clean. Had to finish the housekeepers chores, empty dishwasher, fold laundry, etc. Not exactly how I want to start my vacation, doing someone else’s chores. The first morning in the condo the ice maker broke and almost flooded the kitchen. Not anyone’s fault but with having the bare minimum for necessities it was a little frustrating to try and clean up. We ended up having to use our shower towels to clean up the mess. Who doesn’t own kitchen towels? Things seemed to turn around after that. Libby had a repairman come the next day, Warren delivered fresh towels since there weren’t even enough in the condo for everyone. Also delivered a few other things we seems necessary for a condo that sleeps 7. Was told they would reimbursed for anything we paid out of pocket for, such as ice. We also had to purchase more toilet paper but didn’t see the need to demand money for ice and toilet paper till now. Days after we returned home we were accused and charged $100 for a gate clicker they claimed we lost. Gave up after explaining multiple times that we left it inside the condo where we originally found it with no response from Libby or Warren. Have never experienced lack communication like this from a rental company before. The check in and check out instructions are very vague. It was a decent condo but poorly run management. Will definitely continue staying at DMBC but will not be renting from Libby again.

As you stated, we responded immediately upon receiving your call and had a repairman at the property within hours. We have also since replaced the refrigerator with a brand new one so that there will not be any future problems. We are sorry as well that the remote you were given was misplaced or lost by you. These things happen occasionally and are not desired by anyone but we did address your concerns the moment we heard. We have also just ordered a brand new washer, dryer and range to update all and avoid any future issues. We trust if you come to stay again, you would have a quality, wonderful experience. Solana Beach Del Mar Beach Club
Had a great time at the Del Mar Beach Club. We loved waking up every morning and watching the surfers out in the ocean and the people and their dogs walking on the beach. The place was kept very clean and was great place to just relax inside and out. DMBC is nicely located on the beach with easy day trip access to San Diego, La Jolla, Encinitas, and Torrey Pines. We really enjoyed our stay in Solana Beach.

Great vacation property!
We had a wonderful time at Del Mar Beach Club over New Year’s! Location was perfect, with beautiful beach access and an easy walk to downtown Solana Beach and the public park and beach. Condo had everything we needed - I was especially impressed by all the toys available, both for the beach and inside the house. Our toddler loved it! The beds are obviously a little worn, but that’s expected for this type of property. Check-in/check-out was easy and management was responsive. We would definitely stay there again.

Great property, but communication with agent was problematic.
Property is close to the beach, and has nice beach supplies. Very spacious for our group of 3 kids and 2 adults. Communicating with the agent felt like a chore. Questions were met with impatience.

Great location near San Diego and the beach
We had a great week in Solana Beach. It was a perfect setup for our family- my husband, myself and our 4 teenage children. We explored San Diego and still spent plenty of time lounging by the pool and at the beach. A well stocked kitchen was helpful since we didn’t want to eat out every meal. The only downside was that it got quite hot for a couple days and with no AC, the fans didn’t help all that much at night. Even still, I would highly recommend this rental!

Perfect vacation home for our family!
This home was perfect for our family of six (2 adults and 4 kids). Terrific location in mellow Solana Beach, walking distance to several restaurants, beach access, and Fletcher Cove. The home itself is located in a quiet, well-kept development, and included everything we needed to play at the beach - towels, toys, boogie boards, chairs. Loved the outside patio, which is where we wound up doing the majority of our cooking and eating. Everyone had an actual bed to sleep in, which was nice (a lot of rentals state "sleeps 6" but that doesn't always equate to having 6 actual beds - this one actually does!) and everyone slept comfortably. The house is super kid friendly, and in the afternoon and evenings, after everyone had enough of the beach, we enjoyed playing board games and putting together puzzles that were provided by the home owner. Everything was clean and in good working order. The pool closest to the unit was warm enough to swim in, and the kids make good use of that, too. We highly recommend this place, and will definitely keep it in mind the next time we are able to make a trip to San Diego!

Great Trip!
The property is in a fantastic location and we happily took advantage of it being walking distance to the beach. The grounds are also quite nice and the ocean lookout area is amazing. There is a lot of dog activity on the beach as I think it is close to the dog beach, but we didn't mind. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is capable and the back patio is a great place to unwind. The beach toys and chairs in the garage are an added bonus. The kids absolutely adored the bunk bed room and the toys provided. Unfortunately, we couldn't get the dishwasher to work. Not a huge deal but we ended up doing more dishes than we were planning on our vacation. Additionally, there was only 1 gate clicker available and we had 2 family units with separate cars, so we had to do a bit of planning. Lastly, the condo was sparsely supplied with things like hand soap (between the kitchen and 3 bathrooms there were only 2 bottles which were about 10% full), toilet paper and paper towels. I generally expect these things to be provided when paying to rent a nice place, so we were a bit surprised. A bit of extra seating downstairs and in the bedroom, and a coffee table would be a huge improvement, but overall the condo was quite nice. We will definitely consider this property again for future trips!

Beautiful property on the water!
This condo is well kept, very well stocked and in a perfect location to enjoy all that Solana Beach has to offer. We traveled for a friend's wedding and brought my parents and my 2 year old daughter. The whole place was well-stocked: the kitchen had everything you would need to make meals, there was a pack 'n play for my daughter to sleep in, toys for her to play with and plenty of sand toys and chairs as well as beach towels and even a double jogging stroller!! The living space was fresh, clean and updated. You can see the ocean from some of the windows. It is a short walk to the pools and beach - perfect for bringing a toddler to play by the water. We were a short drive to most big attractions. We had a few little issues - the dryer broke before we arrived, but the management company had a new one delivered shortly thereafter. This was great, but ended up becoming an issue, because we had to be present to open the private gate for the delivery. Not a big deal for us, but could be a bother for some. Also, we had an issue with wifi, which should not be an issue in the future. The "welcome book" was lost which was the only place that had the wifi password. This was an issue, as my husband was trying to get work done and couldn't. I have to say that Warren and Libby were SUPER attentive to this and were really trying to troubleshoot it for us. Luckily, the welcome book was found; left in an obscure place by the previous renter and both Libby and Warren kept copies of the password, so that this mishap would not happen for future renters. Again, this was all-in-all a perfect rental! We want to move in permanently and leave Chicago winters behind!

Great place for a beach vacation
Condo is in a great location and walking to the beach takes only a few minutes. The unit is very clean, updated and maintained. The pictures accurately reflect the property, which is not always the case, but overall enjoyed it and we would book the property again in the future. The only reason for 4 stars is no a/c. This is very common though for property along the beach/coast, which I understand (and some complexes don't allow), but it just happened to be unseasonably hot/humid the week we were there. 4th of July vacation.
Property was great for our family of 6 adults. Was very well stocked and clean overall. The only issue would be the condition of the carpet on the stairs but knowing it's a vacation rental, that's an understandable issue. Would definitely rent it again.

Beautiful place but not clean and maintained
We loved this beautiful condo ... The set up is great and the location was perfect ... We were dissappointed with the cleanliness and matinence of the condo.... We had to wash sheets, dishes, Windows, hair from bathroom, try to locate and put on pillow cases as none of the pillows had covers .... We cleaned down the patio as well ..... There was a broken shower head, tap not working in another bathroom so no hot water, and light bulbs burnt out upon arrival ...these items were fixed and Jennifer was great but my parents lost an afternoon of their holiday waiting for plumbers, which should have never happened...It's sad Because it's s great place and if these items were addressed when the condo was supposedly cleaned between guests the place would be perfect .... I think we left it in a cleaner condition than when we found it :(

Hi Karen Thank you for your review. Somehow someone must not of inspected it before you got there. We always send in a cleaning person and follow up with an inspection. I will do everything I can to make sure it does not happen again Best regards Libby Rogers

Fantastic Family Vacation Rental
My family of 5 (and a friend) stayed in this property for 6 nights in October for Fall Break. It was wonderful! The condo was very spacious and perfect for 2 adults and 4 teenagers. The location of the unit was in a quiet area of the complex, yet a short walk to the pools and beach access. The unit was supplied with everything you could need for the beach- chairs, towels, all kinds of boards, beach toys and umbrellas. The beach area was quiet and beautiful. The three bedrooms were nice. The master was very large and the other two were a little small, but sufficient. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. The rooms all had ceiling fans and floor fans were also available. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Solana Beach is a great location. There are many terrific beach areas, restaurants and shops in the town and nearby. It is a short drive to many lovely beach towns like Del Mar, Laguna Beach and La Jolla. I would definitely recommend this property for a family vacation!
