Dive week
This was our 2nd time renting Oceanfront. Group of 5 divers. Just as nice the 2nd time around. Perfect for our needs. Great location in a less crowded area with beautiful view, The new ladder made ocean access easier but you still had to wait for calmer seas for entry. The house included everything needed, kitchen well supplied for any type of meal. The separate bedroom and bath made for spacious living. This was a clean well kept house. A very relaxing stay, Highly recommended.

If You Love Snorkling and Lots of Birds
This is our second time staying at the property and we love it. If you are a good swimmer, you can climb the ladder and jump right into the water and see coral almost immediately. I snorkels almost every day, but I recommend fins to push you through any waves. The reef here is magnificent. We also loved putting out our papaya skins on a plate for the birds to eat. Of course the best part of staying here is the infinity pool and the amazing view!

Fabulous location
What an amazing place to stay to experience curaçao! The house is beautiful the location superb! The property managers live just down the street & were wonderful! The kitchen truly has anything you would need to make a beautiful dinner, cutlery, knives, pans & spices. Having a place outside Willemstad was a fabulous idea…,everything on the island is still close & you have total freedom… a morning swim & sunset in the pool were beyond wonderful.

This is our favorite rental ever!
We travel quite a bit but have never stayed in a place like this. The location is unbelievable (if you like quiet, privacy and lots of amazing birds and snorkeling right out your door). I don't even want to go anywhere else on the island. Note that this is our second time renting this home and we look forward to coming back again in future years. My favorite moments are coffee in the morning while looking down over the coral. We've seen so much wildlife right from the deck. From pods of dolphins, to sea turtles, to barracuda.... nevermind the amazing birds. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

Paradise in Curaçao
This house was an amazing week of true paradise! Exploring all of the famous west side beaches of Curaçao within a short drive, but returning to the house to completely relax in the amazing infinity pool with such unbelievable views. It really was a perfect house for our family to relax and recharge. Thank you for a great week!

Lovely vacation
This was an absolutely amazing vacation. The house is very charming and in a secluded location. Keep in mind that the bedrooms have air conditioning but all other living spaces do not. Therefore, we didn’t use the common areas of the house as it was just too hot for us. We spent most days on the patio and in the pool, which was lovely. We travelled all over the island and never had any safety issues. However, one thing of concern for me is that this house was listed as being a gated house in a gated community. The community gate was kept open at all times and there was no security or attendant. The gate to the house rolled open and shut by hand without the ability to be locked. The added safety features was the reason I selected this home for our vacation and I was quite disappointed that they didn’t function. We were advised that gangs had taken over the Playa Hundu beach that is very close to this house and accessible only by using the one access road to the subdivision. That left us a bit on edge. Otherwise, we really enjoyed the vacation.

Lovely charming house
Very spacious house, oceanfront, you can listen to the crashing waves all the time. Although certainly not a recent build, the house is full of charm and yesteryear glory, yet with all modern conveniences (A/C, dishwasher, washer/dryer, state-of-the-art mosquito screen on the porch). There are neighbors on both sides, but we never heard them. Osvaldo and Dirk were easy to communicate with and answered all our inquiries with patience.

Private, secluded property with great views
This property with stunning views is located in a remote and secluded area of the island, on a cliff with access to ocean by stairs. It is very quietб private? and cozy. There is a large deck with amazing view of the ocean a nearby land that is mostly untouched. There is no beach, but it is possible to access the ocean. Because the property is so secluded, the access road from Soto is fairly long (~3 miles), but it is very scenic with great views. Overall, we had a great time property, and communication with the owner and managers was very easy and pleasant. Thank you!

Perfect Caribbean Escape
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! After a long 20 months of COVID restrictions, we all needed this vacation and Curacao was the perfect escape. The house spacious, clean and was stocked with everything we needed. The location was picturesque, peaceful and remote (not easy to locate initially but worth the adventure; you definitely want to rent a car to explore the island). Highlights of the trip included climbing Mt. Christoffel, Shete Boka, Willemstad, the Ostrich Farm, and several beaches including Playa Porto Mari, Kokomo, Playa Piskado (snorkeling with turtles) and Playa Grandi. Local restaurants were excellent including Cactus Cafe in Westpunt (the African peanut soup with banana was excellent) and Shelterrock Paradise (family owned/operated; great food and hospitality). Snorkeling directly out from the house was some of the best on the island. The reef was healthy and vibrant with corals, diverse fish population and even eels and octopus. Inge and Dirk were ever so helpful with our orientation and periodic check-ins. They clearly wanted to ensure our needs were met. Oswaldo was excellent in his communications during this entire process, from booking thru re-booking last year due to travel bans, and guiding us to the property. He was very prompt with his replies and always so courteous! We highly recommend this property for couples, families or gathering of friends. We'd come back a second time!!

It was really hard to go home....
This is a fantastic property. The house has absolutely everything you could possibly need inside and out. We have stayed in over 20 vrbos/aribnbs in the last 15 years and this home was the best appointed in terms of kitchen equipment, towels, linens, etc. that we have stayed in. If you stock up on food and drink at the big grocery store in town, there really is no reason to leave the house! The views. From laying in the pool during the day to the sunset to watching the stars/milky way right over your head. Just unbelievable. When the water is low, snorkeling right in front of the house will reveal amazing coral formations that we didn't see anywhere else around the island. (Jumping in from the rocks in front is ok but exiting water on the right of the house next door is necessary - walk over there and check it out before you go in and it will make sense) We rented tanks from a shop out west and had fantastic shore dives from the beach at the bottom of the hill. (Enter water to left of the jetty formation and the drop off is about 30 feet from the shore) If you want a guided dive, Brigette at B Diving at Casa Abao is your girl. It is very close by and has two really excellent shore dive routes. You absolutely need a rental car. But once you make the drive to the main road a few times, you get used to it and it seems like nothing. Two close by restaurants that we liked very much were Landhuis Klein Santa Martha and Bistro Lanternu. We even checked the schedule while we were still there so we could plan a return trip! Oswaldo, Dierk and Inge were super helpful and made the trip so easy. Rent this house....

Amazing stay!
This is a beautiful property with a spectacular view! Very private and quiet, but we were able to most beaches/ sights in under 20 minutes. The pool is super and the kids really enjoyed it. Inge and Dirk were so lovely and helpful and made our great stay all the more perfect!

Perfect Villa in Paradise
If you're looking for the best place to stay in Curacao, look no further, this villa is it. When you first arrive, you are greeted by property managers Dirk and Inge and are given a complete tour of the property. They live just a stones throw from the villa and will help you with anything you need. Osvaldo, the owner was excellent to deal with and very responsive. Always responded back to me within minutes. He even allowed me to switch my dates due to the island shutdown during the pandemic. Very accommodating with no penalty. The villa sits on a cliff and has the best view on the island. Snorkeling right in front on a great reef. You will need a rental car for this end of the island, very private and isolated, but worth it. It is so quiet there. Just the way I like it. You will find yourself spending all your time in the infinity pool, the view is breathtaking of the Caribbean. My wife Kim and I spent 2 weeks and had the vacation of our lives. Wonderful villa, quiet location
Wonderful, clean, lovely villa in a very quiet area. General area felt very safe. Owner is responsive and the property managers are so friendly, helpful, and close by. Check in was easy; the property managers were waiting in the villa for us. The view from the back is spectacular. Convenient for excellent snorkeling. More generally, we chose Curacao because we heard the shore snorkeling was good - and that proved true - there is plenty of very calm water for safe snorkeling with an excellent variety of sea life (even when the sea is a little rough, head to Lagun or Piscado/Grande or Porto Marie for very calm protected water). Other details about the villa that we liked but haven't seen mentioned in other reviews: good selection of books including guide books, jigsaw puzzles, and a reef atlas. We would gladly rent this villa again. Great experience!

Unbeatable place for the money
The house offers all amenities, the pool area makes you want to stay there all the time from sunrise to sunset. The management could not have been better. Snorkeling was perfect, the water was crystal clear. Highly recommended.

Breathtaking views and awesome snorkeling
The owners were so gracious and helpful and we had an informative property manager just a couple houses away. The house was quite functional for our family with a wonderful pool. Just off the back was some of the best reefs that we snorkeled. Tons of colorful fish, moray eels and even an octopus were present in our explorations. Just up the road (about 20 mins) was some fisherman who sold the catch of their day; very fresh!

This home exceeded all expectations! From the first day it felt like home.
Everything about this home was amazing. The view is unbelievable and it made us all want this stay in the pool all day. To be honest we were not 100 percent comfortable on our first trip to the house as it is off the beaten path. The ride is well worth it! We would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful property and very enjoyable vacation.
When you go on vacation and can forget work it is perfect! The villa was wonderful. We went off and enjoyed Curacao each day and loved coming home to enjoy cocktails at the pool, listening to the waves and the wonderful breeze. My husband and daughters loved the scuba diving and we all enjoyed the Blue Room and snorkeling. We enjoyed Shete Boka, and Hato Caves. We had a very enjoyable day in Willemstad and fun day at Klein Curacao. Great vacation, beautiful villa, great owner, and very helpful property managers.

Awesome Views
Location was perfect -- it was very hard to find a reason to leave the house. The view from the pool was amazing, and the house very comfortable. Close to beautiful beaches and snorkeling.

Schönes Haus in toller Lage!
Wunderschöner Blick auf das Meer. Wir haben sogar Delfine vorbeiziehen sehen. Unsere z. Teil erwachsenen Kinder haben sich im Pool mit dem fantastischen Ausblick vergnügt. Schönes Schnorchelgebiet direkt vor dem Haus. Ganz herzliche und hilfreiche Betreuung durch Dirk und Inge, die uns sogar noch einen tollen Grill organisierten.Vielen Dank für alles noch einmal! Schönes Haus , leider öfter Stromausfall. Dies war der einzige Wermutstropfen!

Great location yet with issues
We loved the location but we went there as divers and this location is not a shore dive. The shore was steep rocks with very rough waves that would prevent a sane person from diving here. The house was nice yet there was a strong septic odor on one side. I think there may be an issue with the septic tank. The local manager was fabulous. Due to a blizzard at home we had to stay three extra days and he and his wife we very accommodating. This was our first time on Curacao and we were there to see if it was a place we would want to own a house. In the end we decided we preferred Bonaire and have bought a house there due to better diving and a slower pace.

Beautiful View!
My husband and I and 2 teenage kids stayed here for spring break. We absolutely loved this house and the location was perfect. It is away from the much busier Willemstad and Jan Thiel parts of the island and near the most beautiful beaches! We have been to Curacao before and stayed closer to Willemstad and thought this was a much better location. Only down side is that it is about 30 minutes to the grocery store so good idea to buy groceries before heading to the house. Every day we visited a new beach and scuba dived. It was so nice to come back to the house and relax by the pool. There was plenty of shade and chairs on the pool deck and listening to the rolling waves was so relaxing. We ate out a couple of nights and really enjoyed Karakter about 20 min away. Should make a reservation if you want a table on the beach. We also ate at Korral Terrace which is above Karakter and the food was good. At the time we were there the seas were a little rough so more difficult to get in to the water from the house but no problem if you go through the gate next door and take that path. The snorkeling is really quite good right in front of the house. The house is well stocked and looks nicer than the photos show. There is only AC in the bedrooms but we never had any problem with being hot as there are so many ceiling fans and ventilation. Inge and Dirk are great hosts and live nearby so if you need anything they are right there. We would definitely stay at this house again!

Fantastic getaway!
The place was perfectly away from the busyness of town to allow for relaxing comfort. We were conveniently close to numerous beaches and just a quick drive to the national parks. Dirk and Inge were fabulous hosts and live close by if we needed anything at all. Highly recommend this rental! The description was spot on, with magnificent views and all the comforts of home!

Fabulous Christmas Family Vacation
Wow! We have been coming to the Caribbean for about 40 years at Christmastime, have stayed about "all over" the islands, and found nothing better than what we had here on Curacao, The villa, with the separate fourth bedroom and bath, was a delight. Two "living room" spaces, so plenty of room for all or our 8 family members - three generations, ages from 4 to 79. Right on the ocean coral cliff, with the surf gently washing its base. I got into the water from the house. Need the sea to be relatively quiet, but using the locked path (keys come with the villa rental - the path is next to the yellow wall next door), going down to the water (about 50 feet or so) is quite safe. Getting in and out is not hard if the surf is not running. Most of the time getting in and out is ok. I'm the 79 year old. Carefully check the current. The house was well equipped - kitchen completely furnished, and beach towels were in abundance. About everything worked, though the house is older, and not everything is perfect. But the a/c units were splendid, the ceiling fans worked well, the stove is fine, as is the fridge and the microwave. The outdoor gas grill worked too. The clothes washer and dryer worked well, and the blender got a workout making smoothies. Dirk and Inge were here when we arrived to show us the details, and were always "on hand" at their house nearby to either fix or explain. They keep the villa spotless. The kids scuba dived every day twice from the car at sites nearby. About the best dive site they visited was the one right out in front, using the red gate next to the yellow walled house next door. The three beaches off San Juan were the best dives. There is a 8 NAF fee (for the car and everyone inside it, not individually) to use the beaches each day. The reefs are alive and beautiful - green morays (huge), spotted eagle rays and lots of lionfish, some huge too. The villa is remote from built up areas, in a dead end cut de sac of about 15 houses, most of which were not being used while we were here. What's left of a hotel is about a quarter mile away (you pass through it coming and going to the house). Abandoned several years ago. There's a protected beach there with no chairs, but safe shallow swimming in the ocean. The road to the villa from the main road (Soto) is bumpy, but quite manageable, with several "sleeping policemen" to slow down for. All in all just a delightful Christmas for our family. We're coming back next Christmastime.

Wonderful Week
If you're looking for a beautiful rental home in a quiet area of the island then Coral Reef Villa is a great choice. We found the house to be better than pictured and was one of the cleaner and better furnished homes that we've had the pleasure of renting. Dirk and Inge were wonderful hosts and having them live just a few houses away was an added benefit. The house sits on a cliff in a small neighborhood overlooking the ocean and provides unbelievable views and snorkeling that was much better than expected. In fact after initially planning on visiting as many different beaches as possible during our vacation we found ourselves preferring to just stay at the house to enjoy the pool and tremendous snorkeling right in front. We had daily visits from parrots and looked forward to seeing the neighborhood cats that we wanted to bring home with us. You will definitely need a car if you rent the Coral Reef Villa and should plan on stocking up on groceries when your flight arrives. Everything is a bit of a drive from this location but we found the peace and quiet to be well worth the longer drives. While exploring the island we found St. Christoffel Mountain to be a challenging climb and really enjoyed Shete Boka National Park, swimming with the turtles at Playa Piscado and the many sights in Willemstad. While most nights we went out for dinner we also cooked in and found the kitchen to be more than adequate for our needs. We will definitely be back to Curacao and I can't imagine us even considering a different home or location on the island.
