City of South Lake Tahoe Short-Term Rental Rules
- Maximum occupancy is 6 persons at all times; up to 4 children age 13 and under do not count toward this limit
- Weddings, receptions, and commercial events are prohibited
- Outdoor spas/hot tubs may not be used after 10 PM or before 8 AM
- No outdoor amplified music, speakers, or noise-generating equipment after 10 PM or before 8 AM
- Parking is allowed only on paved surfaces (not unpaved surfaces or neighboring private property); maximum 2 vehicles
- Commercial vehicle parking is prohibited except temporarily for under 4 hours
- Camping or sleeping in tents, travel trailers, campers, or RVs is prohibited on the property
- Trash and recycling must be stored in the provided bear box; trash day is every Monday, collected by South Tahoe Refuse
- Violations of these conditions are subject to citations and fines starting at $1,500 per violation
