# 326 Oyster Isle: uitzicht op het water, meerdere decks, serre, geweldige locatie op het eiland Lt! Ons ruime Wellfleet-huis, gelegen op het prachtige en afgelegen luitenant-eiland, is de perfecte vakantiebestemming voor Cape Cod voor uw hele gezin en vrienden. Geniet van het drinken van je koffie in de ochtend op ons grote terras met uitzicht op het water en dieren in het wild, en deel maaltijden samen in onze beschutte serre, terwijl je geniet van de koele bries van de baai. Lieutenant Island is een exclusieve wijk van Wellfleet met een handvol privéstranden waar u en uw gasten toegang toe hebben. Vloed is geweldig om te zwemmen en te kajakken, en wanneer het tij laag genoeg wordt, loop dan rond het eiland om alle krabben, oesters, duinen en wandelen te ontdekken waar het gebied bekend om staat. Na een dag op verkenning gaan, terug naar huis om te ontspannen met cocktails op onze beschutte veranda en genieten van de avondbries. De eerste verdieping van ons huis beschikt over een volledig uitgeruste keuken met eiland, lichte eetkamer met gewelfde plafonds, woonkamer, meerdere dekken en een halve badkamer. Boven vindt u de grote slaapkamer met een kingsize bed, een eigen badkamer en een eigen terras met uitzicht op het water, evenals een slaapkamer met 3 aparte bedden (2 stapelbedden) en een eigen badkamer. Er zijn nog drie slaapkamers in het souterrain, een met een queensize bed, een met twee tweelingen, en een andere met een uittrekbare koningin, evenals een complete badkamer en een wasmachine / droger. Andere voorzieningen zijn WiFi, kabel-tv, gas grill, buitendouche, venster A / C-eenheden, hond vriendelijk (tegen vergoeding), en lakens en handdoeken. Wonderful location

Spacious house in a beautiful location. We would definitely rent here again for a large group. It’s a 15 minute walk to the beach and nestled in the woods. Pros were location, large kitchen and space (multiple areas for hanging out. Cons were that some of the lights and showers did t work.

Stay canceled true to emergency repairs

We were looking very much forward to our stay but sadly DelMar contacted us about 10 days before our stay that the house was currently uninhabitable. They offered us alternative houses and after we declined them and found something else ourselves the refunded all my money right away and were still super helpful. We hope to stay at the house once it’s all fixed.

Family Vacation

Incredible location! We walked each morning and watched the oyster fishermen. The home itself was beautiful and had everything we needed. The staff at Del Mar were wonderful to work with. We highly recommend!

Authentic Cape Experience

Recommended for anyone looking for an authentic Cape Cod experience. Extraordinary location…private, beautiful, secluded, and yes, it can be tricky to reach at high tide. Del Mar folks were friendly, attentive, and very responsive. There was only a single cup coffee maker for eight adults. We called and they delivered a larger one right away. Ideal rental for nature lovers or two families with kids.

Great location, lots of space; needs attention in and out

Nice layout and great location but showing lots of wear and tear throughout. So many chips and stains on walls, floors etc. that in first hour we took photos and shared them with Del Mar. The carpets, runners and furniture are very worn and stained. No bare feet that week. Several (5+) ceiling bulbs were dead, bathroom faucets sprayed from clogged screens, both staircase bannisters were sticky and tacky. The outside deck, furniture and screened porches are in the same worn state. And lots of small stuff, just indicative of things going unaddressed over time. Del Mar was responsive when we reached out, but other than the dead bulbs, there wasn't anything to be done. Stained carpet is stained carpet, full stop. Chipped walls are chipped walls. We simply wanted to be on the record early about the conditions upon arrival. This property has lots to offer but it is not a premier property in its current condition.

Family Holiday Hideaway

fabulous, secluded space for our family vacation this July. The house had plenty of space for everyone to feel comfortable. Deck and fire pit got a lot of use, as well as the path to the bayside beach. Beautiful sunsets and swimming.

This property met our expectations. The area is quiet and tucked away from the busier parts of the cape. It is a short walk from some very private beaches. The only negative here was the amount of ticks we encountered.

Fabulous!!

This house is beautiful, immaculately clean, and holds 11 adults very comfortably. The open kitchen/dining room/sitting area was perfect for everyone to hang out together. The deck was great. And Lieutenant’s Island is amazing, although keep an eye on high tides times. We loved our stay. Highly recommend!

Good place for family gathering

The house is great and there's plenty of kitchen/common space for hanging out, which is what we did for three days. The kitchen does have plenty of cookware and there are plates, etc for a big group. Bring everything you need in terms of food because there are no basics like oil or spices. The fireplace is listed in the amenities but DelMar said we couldn't use it when we asked about getting firewood.

Nice house, but unfiltered water a problem for us.

The layout of the house was great and the kitchen was well appointed. The property management was quick to respond to a rusted gas grill and the patio umbrella which was not properly functioning. The big issue for us was the unfiltered water system that was really undrinkable(very strong iron taste.). If we had known ahead of time we would have brought a lot of bottled water. When we got the call that the house was ready we were told not to use washing machine as the last occupier reported clothes turning orange and that the property manager would send someone to pick up, wash and return any laundry. We did not use the service. If my son, his wife and child had not had to cancel at the last minute this would have been a giant pain. We should have been told ahead of our stay that the water was an issue. Water in toilets was orange/brown. Mosquitos were bad this year...not sure if the property owner is able to spray given the proximity to Audobon.

Love this little island

Besides the property needing some updating/TLC, the location was very nice and the size of the house was great for our family. The neighborhood was mostly quiet. And we worried about the tides but that didn’t end up being a problem for us during our stay. We didn’t really need to contact Del Mar during our stay for anything either.

A wonderful Getaway

We truly enjoyed staying in this spacious house. The bedrooms and bathrooms are nice and large and the beds very comfortable. It is so quiet and peaceful and a lovely little island to take walks and explore. The kitchen has everything you need for making family meals and there are tons of games and books for fun and relaxation. My 12 and 14 year old kids loved their rooms and enjoyed going out on the porch at night and seeing the brilliant stars. We never had an issue with the tides and we were able to cross the bridge whenever we needed to. If you are looking for a relaxing family getaway this house and location will not disappoint!

Tide chart needed for access to and from house

With a 13 foot tide eliminating access, a tide chart of the days we were staying at the house would have been helpful. Also the house is in need of a rug and upholstery cleaning. The dishes and glasses were grimy with food and grease. Moldy bread was found in the bread box.

Awesome house

My friends and I rent a house every year for oyster fest, but since this year’s was cancelled we decided to have our own oyster fest. This house was so perfect for what we needed! The large deck and kitchen was great. And there was plenty of room to sleep everyone. We would definitely stay here again.

What a perfect house for our group of friends and family. Everyone had privacy, yet the common areas were warm and cozy. We cooked a lot at the house - great kitchen and so many places to sit and look out at the beautiful views.
