Has a wonderful time. Property was clean and very well appointed. Comfortable setting and the ac was top notch. Owner was extremely available and even arranged for power to our golf cart. Location was ideal for the 4th of July parade and festivities including the fireworks. Our stay was relaxing and would highly recommend.

We loved our stay at Maebel’s Cottage! Rena’s home is lovely and the location is prime! We walked to restaurants, shops and playgrounds. We appreciated that Rena left treats for us upon arrival and enjoyed being surrounded by her beautiful artwork. We will return to this magical cottage.

This property is a charming and peaceful place to just chill out and relax. Rena is a great host who has seemingly thought of everything to make our stay perfect. We’ve stayed twice now and plan to stay again in the future. It’s clean, pet friendly, close to Southport and the ferry as well as local beaches. You can’t go wrong staying with Rena in Southport.

Our south port visit at maebel cottage was amazing. We loved the location and the house was so welcoming. Rena was the best host we have ever dealt with. So kind and helpful for our stay. Thank you for having a drop cord we could use for golf cart and the absolute sweetest house. The fenced in yard was wonderful for our dogs. We will be back to stay again soon.. Charles&Ella

Rena, our hostess, was awesome. Her cottage was clean, cozy, and comfortable. The rooms were decorated with her art and adorable trinkets. She was quick to return a phone call or message, and willing to help if there was any problem. She offered great suggestions on restaurants and things to do. We will definitely stay there again if we travel to Southport.

We love Southport!

This was our 3rd trip to Southport and first time staying outside of a hotel. This adorable home is in a great location, we loved being able to walk to Southport Coffee Co and the waterfront. The sunroom is perfect for reading in the morning and my kids loved all the games and fairy lights. It is an extremely quiet and peaceful oasis!

Adorable cottage in Southport

Loved this cottage for our “Staycation” in Southport. We live 30 minutes away and go to Southport throughout the year. This location was perfect to walk to shops & restaurants. The cottage is tucked off the road and very private with many outdoor sitting areas. Inside is so eclectic with so many paintings to look at that the host Rena has painted. Furnishings are comfortable and we especially liked the sunroom to relax and read. Towels were fluffy and plentiful! Rena was very responsive during the booking process. We will definitely return in the future when we want a little getaway!

Rena’s place was perfect. Communication super fast response plus sent a friend to fix the fence so our dogs were safe!! This stay is top 3 in 20 years of vacationing with our family. So much love was put into this place it felt like home!! The details from the art work to snacks left to just the little things most rentals don’t have. The nostalgia seeing the measurements on the wall, this was a big thing my uncle did with me and my 3 daughters growing up. My 18 year old said she could live here We definitely plan to come back

Magical!

This cottage is absolutely beautiful and the hosts go above and beyond to make their guests comfortable. There are three separate outdoor seating areas while the indoors includes a living room with TV and a piano, a sunroom with comfy sofa and a computer, and an exceptionally well equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a Keurig coffeemaker with pods, a French press, and a Cuisinart coffee maker, as well as a coffee grinder. The beds are made up with silky soft, 100% cotton, Biltmore sheets. The towels are plentiful and also thick and plush. There are even boxes of ear plugs in the night stands, extra toothbrushes in the bathroom, games, cards, a lovely coloring book and crayons, and so many other wonderful, welcoming touches. Our hosts even left us a small basket of snacks and wine. The cottage is decorated in an eclectic style that provides something interesting to see on every wall and in every corner. The yard is fenced, ideal for dogs and children, and is planted with a delightful variety of flowers and shrubs. My husband and I and our dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning. My husband did want me to mention that the TV was somewhat confusing to operate, but then we are aging Boomers, so…
