Kapel op rustige locatie, idyllische ontsnapping voor koppels en veel privacy

  • Deze Wesleyan-kapel werd een paar jaar geleden omgebouwd, een complete keuken en badkamer werden geïnstalleerd, samen met een tussenverdieping om een mooie slaapkamer met kledingkast en dressoir te huisvesten. Het voelt erg ruim aan vanwege het open ontwerp.
    De lounge is het meest comfortabel, en vooral warm in de winter, dankzij een hard werkende houtkachel (eerste mand met houtblokken inbegrepen). Alle back-up wanneer nodig met vloerverwarming en een handdoekhouder. De vloeren beneden zijn afgewerkt met prachtige zwarte leisteen tegels en de ramen zijn erg groot en laten veel licht binnen. Jaloezieën en gordijnen zijn voorzien voor degenen die privacy willen, waaronder een verduisteringsgordijn in de slaapkamer. We hebben weinig verlichting op de trappen geïnstalleerd, waardoor nachtelijke uitstapjes naar beneden eenvoudig zijn zonder je partner wakker te maken.
    Er is een eetgedeelte met tafel en stoelen en een dressoir waar we al die kleine toeristische informatieboeken, spelletjes of leesmateriaal opbergen, en niet te vergeten een plaats voor de tv!
    Veel buitenmeubilair rond het terras, compleet met BBQ en parasol in de zomermaanden, wanneer onze bloemen bloeien als een landelijke tuin.

Restful holiday

Had a lovely time the chapel was lovely very clean could not fault it everything that we needed was thought of .Thoroughly enjoyed our few days there would definitely return.

Cottage stay

This is truly amazing property, lovely and quiet and has everything you need for a long or short stay. Well equipped.short trip to local shop and great view of the night sky without light pollution.

Perfect quiet accommodation for couples

Was perfect for a three night (or longer) stay for couples in a quiet location in the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Easy driving distance to Boston, Lincoln and Skegness and other attractions. Great pub food including Sunday Roast at the Coach House pub at the end of the road. Would stay there again

Absolutely wonderful stay.

This place is a little gem. Peaceful, clean and cosy. Everything you require for a relaxing break. Plenty to do in the area. Stayed for a few days. Cant wait to visit again.

Lovely rural location

Lovely property, renovated to a high standard. Loved the wild life in the field behind the property, deer ,hawk's ect.

perfect

property is perfect, exactly as advertised, cold outside in february but very cozy in the property. Plenty of logs made available for a log fire, immaculate conversion from a disused methodist chapel. Would definitely stay again when in the area.

Perfect Coziness

Love this little converted chapel in the middle of the Lincolnshire countryside. We spent a long weekend relaxing there in front of the wood burning stove. I can’t fault anything about the place and I hope we can go back again soon.

Absolutely perfect

The Chapel is a beautiful place, so peaceful inside and out and Margaret is a very friendly owner. The property was very clean and welcoming and the welcome gifts were most unexpected but much appreciated. If you want a little hideaway from the world, but with civilization in easy reach, I would thoroughly recommend a stay. I definately plan to visit again!

Absolutely wonderful stay

My husband and I stayed here for a few nights for our honeymoon and it was absolutely faultless - clean, light, airy and surrounded by idyllic surroundings and peace and quiet - just what we wanted ! We plan on coming back for our wedding anniversary next year :-) Margaret kindly gifted a nice bottle of champers which was greatly appreciated, and also recommended Huttoft Beach which was a lot quieter than the hustle and bustle of Skegness/Mablethorpe etc Thank you again, and we’ll see you again next year !

Perfect setting

My husband and I settled on a trip to England for our 10th wedding anniversary, and this chapel was the perfect place to rest and relax and recharge. The chapel was perfect for 2 people with plenty of space on the first floor to stretch out, and a cozy bedroom upstairs with a nice view of the night sky out the sky light window. We loved our time in the chapel and would love to get a chance to return some day.

Very relaxing weekend

The property was clean, well maintained and fully equiped (including a welcoming bottle of wine). The surrounding area was extremely quiet and the mild weather allowed us to sit and eat outside whilst watching the rabbits and birds. Although it's fairly isolated, Spilsby is a short drive away. Margaret (the host) was always quick to reply to any queries.

Wonderful, stylish cottage

What a lovely cottage, one of the best we've ever had! When you see the condition it was in before it was turned into a cottage, you have to admire the skills of the people who made it into this nice, modern holiday cottage. If the weather had been better, we would have been able to enjoy its garden even more because there are plenty of places outside, where you could sit in the sun. The road to the cottage is a bumpy ride but that's part of the charm, I suppose. Margaret's descriptions were clear and we found it straight away. Inside, it's remarkably spacious and well-equiped. Certainly a place where we would love to go again.

Karakteristieke woning met veel aandacht voor detail

Van afstand lijkt de woning klein, maar bij binnenkomst blijkt het verrassend ruim. Alle ruimte is sfeervol en handzaam benut, met behoud van karakter. De inrichting is keurig en schoon.

Comfort and style on the edge of the Fens

The conversion of the Chapel has been done with a great deal of thought, imagination and attention to detail and comfort. It is well-equipped and immaculately clean. Touches of luxury like the shower, the soft, fluffy white towels, the bed linen and a supremely comfortable bed add to the enjoyment of a stay here. It is well placed for trips to Lincoln, Louth, Boston and the coast as well as being very close to the beautiful Wolds. Folders of information about chapel and the area make it easy to plan how to fill your days. Sitting out on the small, sheltered patio with a drink is a lovely way to end the day. Margaret has created a lovely place for a peaceful get-away.

Romantic getaway Birthday

We had the most amazing stay at the chapel . From arrival to finish it was simply amazing and peacefully prefect , excellent maid service with nothing to fault . We loved the personal touches and beautiful idyllic setting with views and sky’s to take us away from the usual hustle and bustle of busy lives . We explored the surrounding areas and walks finishing back at the lovely cosy chapel. We will miss it very much and look forward to returning in the future . A real gem and credit to the owner ! Bliss

We had a blissful 5 days and enjoyed every moment. Loved the accommodation, the tranquil surroundings and the 'Big Skies'. Looking forward to returning in the winter months when we can try out the wood burner.
