Our stay didn't happen! After several pleasant conversations with the owner prior to our stay......
I got a text when I arrived in Amsterdam on our way to Split, I was told that my unit was not available.
Laura texted me on WhatsApp that "I need to inform you that you have been relocated to another apartment unfortunately the one you booked is not available"
When I called her from the airport in Amsterdam, I found out that the other unit was not equivalent to what I had booked, and I explained that it was unacceptable for our needs based on the number of people we had...she said there was nothing she could do and offered me a free breakfast.....
I didn't want a free breakfast I wanted the amount of bedrooms and bathrooms I had paid for.
She also said to me on the phone that she had to leave and was in a hurry.....
So, I had to find new accommodations that cost me twice as much because we are a family of 5 and needed two hotel rooms.
In all fairness, I demanded a full refund and I got it.
However, the stress of finding out your apartment is not available when you are en route and you have to find last minute accommodations that were twice the expense, is unacceptable.
