'Cabin was nice and convenient, the showers and grounds has some great stuff to do for kids and families, gift shop is nice, staff was fantastic, ants became an issue they were all over the sink, counters and even in the bed rooms, that was the only issue, besides that everything was great'

'Had a wonderful time staying at the cozy shoehouse as we took a couple days to reunite with family after moving out of state. Spent 23 years in York visiting the shoe from time to time. It was very nostalgic inside and outside of the shoe. Unlike practically all shoes, this one did not stink.'

'This is a great spot for exploring Gettysburg. It is walking distance to all the shops, restaurants and cafes. It is also a very short drive to the battlefield. It was very cool staying in a building that was original to the Civil War. You are basically staying in the attic because it is up two flights of stairs. We didn’t mind this at all but just a heads up if you struggle with steps. My only complaint is the bedroom with one bed can get very warm if you shut the door. The host does provide a...

'We had a great stay. It’s a quiet location with great views. It was easy to get to the highway and stores even though it was tucked back in the country. We saw deer each night, and our son loved watching them play. We had everything we needed and then some. '

'Loved the house itself. The only downsize was the street the house is on is extremely busy till late at night. We had a wedding the next day and it was difficult getting a good nights sleep. The house was clean and quaint. Once I used my brown noise app on my phone, it was easier to block out the noise from the traffic and finally get a good night sleep. '

It has so many spaces for people to gather, inside and outside, and more than enough beds and bathrooms. It's only 20 minutes or so from Gettysburg, so easy in and easy out. The view is beautiful and serene, with a gorgeous pool and porch area. Communication was great also. Highly recommend.'

'We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apt, just a couple streets from the Square, where all the actions is, including shops, restaurants, bars, breweries, and museums. Grocery store across the street. The apt was spotless, beautifully decorated with historical items, lots of movies, Civil War books. It was nice to have a private porch to sit out on, sipping a nice cup of coffee, and reading a good book. Although there was a picnic table and a couple of benches for sitting on, you may want to bring...
