"Eindeloos sterrenlicht, prachtig uitzicht en rustige privacy" is wat onze eerste gasten zeiden! Otters Way is een juweeltje! Geniet van kampvuren en spelletjes aan de familietafel. Wij zijn een uniek vakantie- en evenementencomplex in het "Blue Beach" -gebied van de South Branch van de Potomac-rivier in Springfield, WV. Dit prachtige huis met 4 slaapkamers en 2 badkamers ligt op 4 hectare en beschikt over een eigen ingang van de South Branch. De inlaat is de thuisbasis van rivierotters, bevers, blauwe reiger, schildpadden, herten en veel vis! Neem de boot op de inlaat en luister naar de vogels en bekijk de schildpadden! zoek de otters die zwemmen! Wandelaars moeten White Horse Mtn bezoeken. Historisch Romney en Cumberland Md zijn ook vlakbij. Otters Way is waar herinneringen worden gemaakt.

Otters Way is een vakantie- en evenementenverhuurbedrijf met 4 slaapkamers in Hampshire County WV (het ligt tussen Cumberland. Md en Winchester, VA. Het heeft 3 queensize bedden, kinderkamer met 2 aparte bedden boven een stapelbed, een tweepersoonsbed, (de slaapkamers zijn xtra groot) een bank in doorsnede en 2 zelf opblaasbare queen dubbele luchtbedden, 2 badkamers met bad en douche (1 beneden 1 boven ), volledig uitgeruste 16x22 keuken / eetkamer met vaatwasser, zitplaatsen voor 16, 8 ft eiland en een 8 ft venster met openslaande deuren naar het dek, wasserette, 2 gemeubileerde dekken 1 met gas grill, 55 "SMART TV in de woonkamer kamer en 32-inch SMART-tv's in elke slaapkamer, 3 dvd-spelers (voel je vrij om ze te verplaatsen) en draadloos internet (houd er rekening mee dat landelijk internet een beetje traag kan zijn). We hebben ook een wasmachine en droger, plafondventilatoren in elke kamer, warmtepomp die zowel AC als warmte levert. We hebben koffie, thee, diverse kruiden en specerijen in voorraad die u samen met toiletpapier en papieren handdoeken kunt gebruiken.
De stad Springfield (1,5 km) heeft een kleine markt met Deli, diepvriesproducten, wat vers vlees en bier, een supermarkt met gas, pizza, broodjes en broodjeszaak, een klein restaurant en een algemene winkel van Dollar.
U vindt restaurants in alle richtingen, Romney is 8 mijl, Cumberland, Md is iets minder dan 20 mijl.
Er zijn veel plaatsen om te bezoeken tijdens een verblijf in Otters Way, waaronder; Historisch Romney and the The Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad, Cumberland, Md and the C&O Canal, Deep Creek Lake, Capon Bridge en Fort Edwards Visitor Center, Seneca Rocks, Smoke Hole Caverns, Dolly Sods, Blackwater Falls, Cacapon State Park, Lost River State Park en meer.
Vermelde prijzen zijn inclusief WV omzetbelasting en Hampshire County accommodatiebelasting. 25% aanbetaling gevraagd om reserveringen vast te houden. Storting zal worden toegepast op een toekomstige datum in geval van annulering.

Relaxing stay

We had a wonderful stay. The back deck is perfect for relaxing and catching up with family and friends. We sat out there mornings with our coffee and evenings watching the wildlife. Cynthia was proactive in communicating with us .She provided so many nice extra touches. We stay at VRBO a lot so I come prepared with extra paper towels and some pots. Did not need any of its everything was provided I can’t say enough about how wonderful the stay was. The drive into the property is a back dirt road which we enjoyed. Beds were extremely comfortable. Highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Otter's Way to attend a family wedding! Honestly, we would rate it 4.5 -- it was a great space for a rehearsal dinner with 30-40 people and less than 20 minutes from the wedding venue. Everything we needed was available and communication and assistance from the owners was amazing! There was a lot of seating in the living area, dining room and porch, which made having a large group for dinner doable and comfortable. As with all rentals, the knives were not very sharp and the cookware was mediocre and a couple of lights needed to be changed. These were the negatives. Overall, it was a great place--we didn't use the fire pit or explore the river due to being busy and an unseasonable amount of rain. A bedroom and bath on the first level are great for those who have mobility challenges and the ramp made it easy to navigate. We would stay here again if we needed lodging for a larger group in this area!

Weekend train ride trip

You can really tell the house is cared for. It feels like a home. It had everything you could need. They have a well stocked kitchen and even supply snacks. The beds were very comfortable. The yard is huge with a stream behind it with a Great fire pit. I do recommend this property and will definitely go back

My family needed a well-deserved getaway, and this is the perfect location. We caught up with family living in the area. This house was designed for entertaining. Booked the next week we wanted to come but planning on returning soon for at least a weekend. Thank you for making us feel so welcome.

Great Stay

We enjoyed an extended stay at Otter’s Way in early spring. As others have said, this property is exceptional. The grounds with the ponds are a natural paradise, so much fun to watch and hear the many birds, otters, frogs (and even local cows down the way). The house is comfortable and welcoming with great views and spacious indoor/outdoor spaces. If you leave the curtains open at night, the downstairs bedroom provides a magical view of the stars. The location is a great stepping off point for area attractions. We enjoyed many outings in the area, but also time just spent in our own little valley. Again as others have noted, the house is extremely well stocked, everything you need and more. As seniors, we appreciated the ramp into the house for easy loading/unloading and ongoing access. There is also a grab bar in the downstair (but not up) bathroom. The only caveat we would add, is that the property can be difficult to find, the lane is unmarked and we could not get cell service for our gps when we arrived. Be sure you’re clear on the location and perhaps download a detail map before arrival. Overall, we had a wonderful stay, an easy 5 stars, (my dog gives it a 5 star rating as well)!

Wonderful Stay at Otter's Way

We hosted our family Christmas gathering here. The pictures do not do the property justice. It is simply lovely. My only recommendation would be a sign in front of the prroperty to make it a little easier to recognize the property. While we did not have any problems finding the property, some of our guests did. However, we were very pleased with our stay. We are definitely considering staying again.

Otter’s Way was adorable - lots of little details and comforts provided including binoculars to watch the otters playing in the water. For an older home, it was well cared for with updates such as Roku smart TV’s and decent Wi-Fi. Lots of places to hang out with the covered back deck and kitchen being the favorite. Responsive host, plenty of room and comfortable beds - we plan to stay again!

The property is very large and peaceful with nice open space. The home is also very large and spacious with a comfortable and homey atmosphere. Kitchen is well stocked and owner is gracious with offering snacks and possible necessities. Easy to find by GPS, even in the dark. Easy check in and entrance. Would love to stay here again in the future!

Quiet and off the beaten path

If you are looking for a place to unwind with the family, turn off the electronics, read some books, play some broad games, and hang out on the balcony, this is it. The kids can still being their gameboys and plug in to the tv, or surf the internet at rural speeds, but the highlight of the home is the fact that it gives you an opportunity to be together as family and friends. The owners are great communicators, and we had no issues whatsoever. The road in and out is narrow at times, so take your time and let the neighbors pass. There is access to the river at the beginning of the entrance to the road in, bring smallish bait and hooks if you want to catch a fish…there were more little guys in the river, and if we brought smaller bait we were sure to hook one. We drove an hour+ to Black Water Falls Stake Park…it was a great short trip and the food at the smoke house in the State Park was great. Highly recommend.

Great get away in the Mountains!

This property was just what we needed for our family of 12 to get together and enjoy the weekend. The kids loved that they had room to run and play, the guys loved fishing, and just being able to sit and relax and enjoy our time together. We hope to return!

A few quiet days away

Otter's Way was a wonderful getaway spot for us! It was really quiet, rather than one of those spots that doesn't show you how close it is to a busy street. The house was well appointed - I love that Cindi had enough goodies in the kitchen that we didn't have to run out and buy salt or cooking oil for just a few days, and we were grateful for the popcorn. The location was great for us - close to the big lakes and close to small towns for visiting, with a large yard our dog absolutely loved. This is not the place to come to get some work done - the wifi cut in and out a bunch which was fine for us but might not be for someone else.

Don’t Hesitate! Book Otters Way!!!

Can’t say enough good things about Otters Way! The host, Cyndi, is on point! Super responsive. She’s got everything you need! My Mother/Daughter weekend was perfect! We had 6 in our party and not one complaint! Decor was well thought out and super cute! So many nice touches and thoughtfulness in her place! Definitely going back!! So much room to breathe and spread out! Not on a main road, very quiet and sooo many stars to see at night! Pet friendly was a HUGE plus for my Golden Retriever! He loved the water and she provided towels in anticipation of just that! How thoughtful!! She keeps things from former guests that made it so nice to not have to go grab from the store, I loved this!! Get away from it all and stay at Otters Way

The property was as shown in the listing. It was clean, the host very responsive and there were so many extras! The pond advertised was very nice and my grandchildren enjoyed fishing. There was a small rowboat that we really enjoyed. We would go back again!
