Location:

Located just off Highway 190 in Camp Nelson, the cabin is your gateway to all the wonders of the Southern Sierra. Just steps from the Pierpont Bar & Grill for a quick bite, and easy access to some of the most stunning nature in California. Easy access, ample parking, and that sweet mountain air included.

Guest will have access to the entirety of the home and property! Self-Check In via the smart lock on the door adjacent to the garage. The code will be sent to you before your check in.

Camp Nelson

Camp Nelson is accessible from Highway 190 and has a system of local roads that are both paved and unpaved. The Tule River, nearby trails, and the Camp Nelson General Store are all within walking distance — making it easy to explore the best of the area right from your doorstep!

📵 There is no cell service in this area — please download offline maps before heading up the mountain. Once you arrive, WiFi calling can be enabled through your Starlink connection.

🌲 While we are located within Sequoia National Forest with many incredible attractions nearby, please note that Sequoia National Park is approximately 2 hours away. The good news? The forest surrounding The Family Nest offers equally breathtaking scenery with far fewer crowds!

🐿️ Being in a rural mountain setting, it is common to encounter wildlife such as deer, squirrels, birds, insects, ants, mice and bees. Please do not feed any wildlife, and never leave food or trash outside — bears are active in the Camp Nelson area and it is important we all do our part to keep them wild and safe.
