'I was given room 3 which was average and definitely not like the advertised photos or reviews, there was not hot water which happens, I was then given an 'up grade' to an upstairs room where the shower head was broken and the electric shower when set at medium went from cold to burning on its own, clearly faulty. Bed was very comfortable but the room was dated. Unable to offer comment on the breakfast as I had to leave before it started, 8am is quite late for midweek.'

'What an excellent property we found! 12 of us stayed for mum's 65th birthday. Welcomed to the smell of mulled wine & mince pies. Nicely decorated for Christmas throughout. Fantastic, peaceful location. Clean and comfortable with plenty of space for everyone. No need to take anything other than clothes, the property had everything needed. Owners were fantastic. Great communction beforehand. Would definitely return again.'

'It's the most underrated place you will think off I generally it's been 2 days but still missing the place so much 😭.the beautiful view ,the sunset and sunrise it's so iconic beautiful ❤️.you will see cows and sheep just remind me my hometown in hills it makes me so much feel home like ,well can't forget the rabbit he will come to surprise in the cottage area sneaky and cute .all things I see make me feel like people dream of a house in a quiet and peaceful area love it all . 'The room was very clean and tidy! Staff are very friendly, the breakfast is amazing very filling! And the parking is very easy too access but when there are a few guests staying the car park can get very tight, overall really good and best bit its only 17 mins drive too Alton towers from there '

'This is a charming country house and everyone was amazing. We enjoyed a walk around the property and the food was spot on. You can’t go wrong staying here if in the neighborhood. If you’re also familiar wrote ceramics, you’ll find several ships about 10-15 mins away that is a great place to browse and shop. '

'No food available on site,no cameras switched on for car park safety,crack in bathroom sink with units tired . All furniture tired and old. Tv we’re old and small.coat hangers missing and damaged. Very noisy residents made it hard to sleep '

'I booked two rooms as a last minute stay. Immediately on bookimg I had two phone calls that I missed as I was in my way to the accommodation. I then received a text message to tell me they could not accommodate my booking and to cancel. I was adviced by Expedia not to cancel as this would be against the cancellation policy - I am still trying to get a refund and will probably have to esculate the process'

'Stayed for 3 nights at the Clayhanger Guest house. Friendly staff welcomed us when we arrive at the door. semi-private parking behind the building. Nice room with good beds. Ensuite bathroom with shower and small fridge was all we needed. Breakfast service was great. Good value for the price we payed. '
