Ga naar bed met de deuren open en u zult in slaap vallen met het geluid van de zee; stap uit op het overdekte balkon en word direct verbonden met de kustlijn en het strand. Je kunt zelfs dolfijnen spotten in de baai. Ontbijt buiten onder dekking in de vroege ochtendzon en plan of u uit wilt gaan of gewoon wilt blijven waar u bent. Het uitzicht is adembenemend. Dit met licht gevulde appartement bevindt zich op de eerste verdieping van een Edwardiaans landhuis dat werd gebouwd voor de St Ives School of Artists. Er zijn 2 badkamers (een en-suite), met een grote slaapkamer met hoog plafond met uitzicht op zee en een deur naar het balkon. De woonkamer is dubbel aspect met openslaande deuren ook naar het balkon. De keuken / eetkamer heeft een fornuis, koelkast, vriezer, wasmachine en vaatwasser. De woning ligt in een subtropische tuin en is toegankelijk via 2 trappen naar beneden vanaf de rijstrook buiten. Het is geschikt voor koppels van alle leeftijden en mensen met kinderen, maar kinderen moeten onder toezicht op het balkon staan. Er zijn 7 andere eigenschappen in het gebouw, waarvan sommige privéwoningen zijn en niet verhuurd. Het huis ligt in Treloyhan, het meest exclusieve deel van St Ives. In de lente is de geur van wilde knoflook heerlijk. Het huis is ideaal gelegen op 100 meter van het South West Coast Path. Het hele gebied is een toevluchtsoord voor dieren in het wild, waaronder uilen, buizerds, groene specht en talloze kleinere vogels. Vossen en dassen kunnen een glimp opvangen. Specimen bomen zijn er in overvloed in het gebied. De beste manier om hiervan te genieten is door te wandelen. Het voetpad leidt door de tuinen aan de zeezijde van het huis via een pad met oude met mos bedekte granieten muren naar Haines Walk. Dan moet u beslissen of u rechtsaf wilt slaan naar Carbis Bay, waar u kunt genieten van de faciliteiten van het Carbis Bay Hotel, het strand met zijn watersporten en prachtige wandelingen, of sla linksaf richting St Ives zelf. De locatie is perfect. Een andere optie is om naar het Tregenna Castle Hotel te lopen, waar u binnen 10 minuten kunt golfen met waarschijnlijk het beste uitzicht op St Ives vanaf de 12e Fairway! Tescos ligt ook op 10 minuten lopen, net als onze lokale Cornish Arms. Dit is echt een speciale plek. Dit appartement is ook perfect om de locaties uit de Poldark-serie te verkennen.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und haben es wieder sehr genossen. Die Lage des Appartments ist hervorragend: Wunderschöne Aussicht, Bushaltestelle und Tesco Supermarkt in fußläufiger Entfernung. Man erreicht den Coastpath in wenigen Minuten und kommt nach 10 Minuten zum Carbis Bay Beach oder in der anderen Richtung nach einer dreiviertel Stunde nach St. Ives. Die Wohnung und Küche ist gut ausgestattet und der Balkon mit Aussicht ist herrlich! Die Wohnung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles war sauber und gepflegt. Wir haben den Aufenthalt wieder genossen und kommen gerne wieder!Hans und Susanne

Delightful cottage with stunning views of Carbis Bay and the property’s own beautiful gardens. Step onto the coastal path from the garden access and walk to the beach in ten. Excellent amenities with super eat in kitchen, laundry, spacious living room and pretty bedrooms. We enjoyed many meals on the balcony, listening to the breaking ocean waves. Wifi and quick walking access to Tesco. Take the footpath to St Ives and beyond along the stunning coastal path.No car needed to enjoy this property (we walked from Carbis rail), however parking is available anyway.

A superb base for our week discovering West Cornwall. The views from the apartement are outstanding, even better than the photos suggest, and the covered terrace is a great place to relax and soak in the view. The living room and spacious light-filled master bedroom are both nice, second bedroom is really small. Well-equipped throughout, particularly the kitchen, with a range cooker, and all the pots and pans necessary for cooking (note there are no restaurants in easy walking distance). All equipment is modern and in good working order, better than usually found in rental accomodation these days. Shame there was not a better coffee making machine.Only real negative is the size of the beds, both the singles and the small double seemed undersized. Otherwise, no complaints.

Relaxing week

A quiet, relaxing place to stay with a fabulous view over Carbis Bay. Be prepared for the challenging up and downs of the paths at first… however after a few days it was a real pleasure to walk into St Ives and back and Carbis Bay and back. Would stay again.

Carbis Bay - Charming Cottage Apartment

Cute cottage style apartment with stunning views of the coast. We loved the direct access to the coastal footpath for daily outings. The apartment was charming and spacious: well equipped eat-in kitchen, dishwasher, laundry washer, large living room with balcony access, comfortable main bedroom with views and a reading nook, and a cosy second room with two singles. The apartment had been very nicely cleaned for us on arrival and the appliances and WIFI worked well. The host was prompt and helpful in replying to our messages. Nice additions would be to make available a few extra supplies such as shampoo, tissues, and to top up soap dispensers. This is perhaps more noted by international guests who can't carry liquids through security and don't wish to purchase such items only to dispose of them after a week. That said, the cottage is extremely convenient to a Tesco superstore (3 minute walk). We avoided the use of the shower & bath in the main bathroom due to concerns raised by the host on a tendancy for an alarm to sound if water splashes onto the floor. This wasn't a problem for our family as we simply used the ensuite shower. However, it could be more of a nuissance for other guests who prefer separate bathrooms. If there is a fix, that would be welcome. We had a very lovely stay and would definitely recommend it to family and friends.

Perfect to unwind

We had a wonderful week staying in this apartment. A great location for exploring this corner of Cornwall and easy access to St Ives, without the challenge of finding somewhere to park! The views were unbeatable ! We loved having breakfast on the balcony or sitting in the garden, watching the waves rolling in. SO very relaxing :) The flat itself has everything you need and very spacious. Very well equipped and with Tesco just up the road, self catering is very easy. Big thanks to Susie who was very helpful and brilliant at replying to messages/ questions we had. That was much appreciated. We would love to return here and would recommend 100%!

Stepping Back in Time with Outstanding Views

We stayed for a week at this Edwardian flat situated high above Carbis Bay and near the coastal path. We woke up to coastal views from the master bedroom and I often had my coffee looking out to the sea. The property has a nice balcony with grand views up the coastline. If you like historical properties you'll like this place. The kitchen is well equipped and the listing description is accurrate. I would highly recommend this place.

Perfect really....

I loved the view from the balcony, it was so peaceful sitting there drawing and painting. The walk along the coastal path into St Ives is about 15 minutes, with trees, lovely houses to look at, and views the whole way. Would definitely go back. Thank you

Fantastic holiday

This is the second year we have stayed in this flat and we love it. The view over the bay is second to none and we love to sit on the covered balcony with a glass of wine and just watch the world go by. The flat is located between Carbis Bay and St Ives and it is a relatively short and lovely downhill walk into St Ives for the coffee shops and restaurants, or the other way down to the beach. It should be noted that the walk down is much easier than coming back up, so anyone with mobility problems should beware. However there is a dedicated parking space up a few steps from the front door and this is very convenient for getting out to explore the district and coming back at the end of the day. We never had any problems with the space being occupied by someone else. There is a medium sized Tesco supermarket within 5 minutes by car and this is well stocked and has a Costa coffee shop. There are other shops in Hayle, again a short drive away. The flat is well equipped with all you need for the stay and is clean and comfortable. You need to take toilet rolls, but tablets are provided for the dishwasher and washing machine. We sleep well in the lovely bright main bedroom and although we haven't cooked that many meals everything you need is there. The second bedroom is small with just room for the two single beds. Communication with the owner has been very good and she sends reminders for bin days and so on. She responds very quickly to any query. Overall, good value for money

Very comfortable flat, great view & good location

We could not think of a better place to stay. Carbis Bay is beautiful and St. Ives in good and pretty walking distance (15-20 minutes). The appartment is very quiet, sitting on the balcony is very relaxing.
