'Dog friendly rooms are on ground floor. These aren't comparable to other standard rooms, but charged at same rate plus an additional £20 cleaning charge. Our room was basically furnished with painted plain MDF wardrobe in corner. Window was open in all these rooms presumably to help with smell. Carpets we're stained and smell was very noticeable when windows closed. Despite these comments to reception, we were still charged the additional cleaning fee.'

'Booked on a last minute whim for a trip to the theatre in Aylesbury. Fantastic place - super friendly staff, high quality accommodation with a few extra nice touches on top. The breakfast was genuinely amongst the very best I’ve ever been served. Highly recommended place to stay.'

'From the moment we arrived the staff couldn’t do enough for us. They let us check in even though we were slightly early and they changed the room to a ground floor one so we didn’t have to climb the stairs. The room was perfect. Clean, spacious and welcoming. 'Het heeft vooral de sfeer van een ‘guesthouse’, omdat het volledig gerund wordt door een uiterst aardig echtpaar, dat je ‘s morgens een prima ontbijt serveert en je op elk gewenst moment te woord zal staan. Heel anders dan een hotel met aardig maar afstandelijk personeel. De Lodge zelf is op leeftijd, dus verwacht geen hypermodern comfort.'
