St Simons coolste strandbungalow met privézwembad / bubbelbad!

Nu boeken Lente en Zomer en Herfst 2018. Cottages of Live Oak, One of St. Simons Best communities is gunstig gelegen langs Demere Road, net voor Beach Drive. Slechts een paar minuten lopen naar het strand of het dorp maken dit huisje een van de beste locaties op het eiland. Prive zwembad en bubbelbad plus geweldige locatie !!

Kahula's Cottage biedt een unieke Beach Bungalow-stijl met grenen vloeren, open en ruime kamers en drie (ja, drie) portieken. Genoeg portieken en patio's (5 in totaal) zodat iedereen zijn favoriete plek kan vinden om te ontsnappen en te ontspannen tijdens zijn verblijf hier.

De woonkamer heeft veel zitplaatsen en een zeer comfortabele "NIEUWE" bank en stoel en poef. Een open haard verankert de met licht gevulde kamer die uitkomt op de afgeschermde veranda aan het uiteinde van de kamer met een bedwing. De veranda wordt uw favoriete plek om te ontspannen tijdens uw verblijf in Kahlua's Cottage. De eetkamertafel is een antieke boerderijtafel en biedt plaats aan zes tot acht personen. De muurkleur in de eetkamer en keuken herinnert u aan de kleur van de Middellandse Zee of het Caribisch gebied. Alle ramen in de eetkamer bieden uitzicht op het privézwembad en de hot tub. De volledig ingerichte keuken beschikt over roestvrijstalen apparaten, gasfornuis, "nieuwe koelkast" en unieke open glazen kasten boven de bar. Er is een patio buiten het scherm veranda die een gas grill en een houtskoolgrill plus een tafel en 4 stoelen heeft.

De hoofdslaapkamer bevindt zich op het hoogste niveau en heeft een NIEUWE queen-size matras en boxsprings in december 2017. dressoir en kaptafel plus flatscreen-tv. De andere twee slaapkamers zijn boven, evenals de tweede complete badkamer en de wasruimte en zonnedek. Een van de slaapkamers boven heeft twee eenpersoonsbedden en de andere heeft een queensize bed. Een van de slaapkamers boven heeft een kleine tv. Er is ook een opblaasbaar eenpersoonsbed dat elders in het huis kan worden opgesteld als dat nodig is. Het zonnedek boven heeft adirondak-stoelen en bijzettafels. Het is de perfecte plek om te genieten van de warme zonnige winterdagen of om naar de sterren te kijken in de zomer.

De veranda heeft twee rockers en een veranda schommel en nodigt u uit met een prachtige blauwe voordeur. Het gunite-zwembad en de hot tub zijn de kers op de taart voor dit zeer goed ingerichte en ontspannen huisje. Parkeer uw auto wanneer u aankomt en loop naar het dorp of het strand. Of huur fietsen of karren voor de beste ritten op het eiland. Genieten!

Perfect Blend of Pool and Beach

Great property. House and pool were awesome. Having a pool is the way to go on St Simon’s and this is a great place to stay. Beach a few minutes aways so having a golf cart definitely will help. Downtown area, lighthouse and restaurants close and easy to access.

May 2025 perfection

This rental property is exactly the pictures shown. We had dogs with us and there was a great area of small grass right next to the home. One review mentioned there were none but this was not true. It's a nice and quiet neighborhood and felt safe. I also felt the pool area was private. The porches were wonderful to enjoy each morning and evening. The house was so clean which was a strong plus for me. There were two areas where you can easily walk to from the home. Many restaurants and shops nearby. We had one minor issue with the hot tub and owners responded very quickly. It was also an easy fix. We highly recommend this rental property.

House is much larger than it appears in pictures and the downstairs space is fantastic. Weather limited our use of the pool but we squeezed out as much as we could from the one sunny day we had. Will definitely book again.

Spring Break Vaca

Cute cozy eclectic beach bungalow nestled in a small private community. Only five houses in the Live Oak Cottages, super accommodating for multiple families to be close to each other to rent those houses. Great location for riding bikes to The Village, King and Prince etc. This house does back up to Demere Rd so some road noise at night and on the screened porch. Each room had an overhead fan and portable fans were provided which was nice for noise too. Loved the front porch swing and cocktail pool. There is an outdoor shower which was nice, parking can be a little tricky, but a non issue for our family. Bathroom towels were limited, so plan to do some wash while you’re there. Only two towels for the week in Master bathroom. All appliances were in good working order, plenty of hangers in each bedroom with luggage racks. It could use some fresh paint and updates but overall a great vaca for what our family needed!

SSI stay for the 1st time

Great house! Well stocked with great kitchen well supplied. Enjoyed the front porch!Had an issue with hot tub control panel but owner had repair guy out the next morning to replace.Only negative is master bedroom backs up to Demere road which is a little busy during the day!Would stay again! Loved SSI!

Just what we needed!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kaluha’s Cottage. We were looking for a small-ish house, close to beach and everything, dog friendly, and with everything we needed on the first floor. Our dog has a hard time with stairs- so the idea was not to use the second floor. First- St. Simons Island and the surrounding area are beautiful. Lots of beautiful places to visit, great restaurants, quaint shops, and nice nightlife. Highly recommend a visit. The house was very clean, had everything we needed, and looked as nice as advertised. It would comfortably sleep 6 adults. Bathrooms were great- reasonable size. The pool was very nice- with steps that made it easy to get in and out. The porch on the first floor was fantastic- with a large porch swing that was so relaxing. The location was close to everything. Owner was very kind and responsive.There are only two things to keep in mind based on your needs if you are a dog owner. There is only a tiny area of grass on the side of the house. For our dog- this was not ideal as he needs some room to walk. Second- the house is located on a busy, dark street without easy access to large grassy areas nearby when doing potty breaks in the early morning or nighttime (times when it is dark and you are not out and about taking the pup to parks). This was not ideal- but we would stay again if it was a short stay. For a longer stay- dealing with the potty situation would become hard to handle.

Lovely Home

This home is beautiful and just as described, plenty of room for everyone to relax. The weather did not cooperate but the home owners were great to work with. The pool and swinging bed were my favorites.

As advertised! Cozy bungalow in a beautiful place!

We had never stayed in St. Simon's, but thought we'd try a new place. We are looking for laid back, easily walkable community, a house with a private pool that is well appointed. This one checked all the boxes. The first two days we were riding out Hurricane Debby. Beverly was in touch about the storm path and this was reassuring. Turned out we mostly sat on the swing on the screened in back porch and watched it rain. The island was cleaned up quickly and we were back, but even the morning after the worst of the storm we were able to walk to the pier, see the lighthouse, etc. SSI is a laid back, historically significant, "chill" little beach community. Boys watched TV and played XBox while weather was bad--house was very comfortable for this. When the weather got better, we alternated between a beach at SSI and one at nearby Jekyll Island. A great, reinvigorating trip that was just what we needed. Highly recommend the area as well as Kahlua's Cottage!

Just As Advertised

Great beach cottage with plenty of room for our party of 6 (2 parents and 4 teenage kids). It was exactly as it appeared in the listing. The kitchen is well appointed for any cooking and 3 bathrooms made getting ready easy. We enjoyed all three of the porches and the pool area. Also, it's always nice when you don't have to carry the house key with you and worry about losing it. The location is more private than it first appears and is convenient to all areas on the island.

First visit to St Simons

Beautiful property with a very homey feel. Owners covered every need including helpful suggestions for shopping and directions to the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and linens and towels were included. We loved the pool and the house was very comfortable. A pet friendly house is very important to us as well. Owners of this property are very thoughtful!

Everything you need is here. Pool and hot tub are great and just the right size. Plenty of room….We had 2 adults and 4 teenagers and it didn’t feel crowded. Great screened in porch and loved the upper floor porch for sitting at night. Easy drive to the beach and village.

Feels Like Home

Kalhua’s Cottage is the perfect location to be close to everything - the beach, the village, shopping - but still feels like you are away from it all. Sweet enclave of homes that has a family feel. The cottage itself is well stocked and homey. The pool area is nice with a large hot tub. Our favorite was probably the screened in porch with the swinging bed. Even after two weeks, we were wishing for a longer stay.
