The property is breathtaking. It even impressed my 18 year old son, which doesn't happen often.
Communication with Glenn, the host, was great.
It is a 150 year old property, so there were some issues. There were a few hard rainstorms that caused some leaks and knocked out the Internet, but we came prepared with actual books and board games, so no big deal for us. There is all sorts of wildlife, domesticated and not. Chickens, bunnies, raccoons, lots of bugs.
The kitchen is equipped a bit better than other places I've stayed (although with the smallest cups/mugs we've ever seen, lol) and we were able to cook about 50% of out meals with no problem.
The bed upstairs was more comfortable than my bed at home. My son said he slept well downstairs. Sound travels well throughout the building, so we could hear him on his phone downstairs in his room. If you are a light sleeper that may bother you.
The bathroom is a bit small with shower only, no tub, but the water was hot and we never ran out even after 3 showers in a row one day.
It is situated in the middle of everywhere we were going, so we had a 10-30 minute drive most days to get to fun places.
Overall, a great experience, and we hope to return for another week.
