'Felt a bit miss-sold, a 2 bedroom apartment which is basically a 1 bedroom, and a bed in a hallway. Hotel also didn’t give us the code, so we couldn’t get in, so spent an hour stood outside without a way of getting in. Fortunately some other guests arrived and let us in, or we’d have been out there all night….! '

'Behind the black iron door there is a lovely well equipped cottage. The best thing is that it is right in the middle of Cheadle and at the same time a quite retreat, the best of both. We are not the absolute nature lovers, but made trips tot Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool. Close enough for a days visit. But we explored the Peak district as well. We did Buxton and Ashbourne and Leek too. We find the cottage very cosy. We didn’t miss a thing. Everything was there, including good Wifi.'

'Great location , friendly discreet staff . Good size rooms of a good standard and I overslept and they extended my check out by 1 hour free id charge. Amazing.! I booked it thru Hotels.com app. It's my new go to app for travel related bookings after the poor treatment I got from Booking.con who refused me a refund on a booking that I couldn't use because the owner has changed the code on the key box and not updated this information on booking.con. I will not be using them again. I can recommend...

'We enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. Ideally located for our Alton Towers trip. Lots of nice restaurants in Leek too. Apartment was very comfortable, beds comfy too with crisp white linen and towels. Good instructions for entry. Some more information about bins etc would have been good. WiFi was a bit iffy at times but didn’t hugely impact on us. Connection instructions weren’t correct but we worked it out eventually. Would consider staying again when next visiting Alton Towers. '

'Very easy to access, host was very welcoming and responsive. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and had all we might need for the kitchen, including sharp knives! It was lovely and warm, very nicely decorated and cosy.The shower was good and powerful, plenty of nice quality towels too. Great location for access to walks in the National Park (we did the Trespass Walk over Kinder Scout).Very good value, lovely cottage, would definitely recommend.'

'Property was very nicely decorated with a cosy feel with contemporary fixtures and fittings. Location was great - nice and rural, but close to Tideswell and Monsel Head. In the couple of days we were there we visited Bakewell, Hathersage and walked Castleton and Mam Tor. We love the area and would certainly stay here again. '

" Terrible stay. Upon arrival we had to wait to check in. No greeting, no explanation, just a key handed over by an unfriendly receptionist. Absolutely no sense of hospitality. The room was far from clean: stained bedding, mold in the bathroom, and a damaged wall. The phone didn’t even work, which meant I had to go to reception in the middle of the night when my friend became sick. The staff showed no empathy at all, even laughed at the situation, and said cleaning could only be done the next day. When it finally happened, it was careless and far below any acceptable standard. The spa was completely unusable due to the overwhelming smell of mold. Unhealthy and unsafe for guests. Staff were unfriendly throughout no explanations, no assistance, no interest. At check-out, not even a “How was your stay?” just taking the key and saying “bye.” This property claims to be pet-friendly, but honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it even for pets. It was dirty, unhealthy, and completely disrespectful to paying guests. In short: this hotel is a disgrace. We demand a partial refund and strongly advise others not to book here. "
