Convenient and nicely appointed
The condo was in a really good location, convenient to the Wildhorse Gondola. The property was clean and very comfortable. My only complaint was the property manager’s practice of mailing the keys. This isn’t 1980–there are modern, more convenient, more reliable ways to grant access to short term rentals. Other than that, I’d definitely stay there again.

It was a great place to stay for access to all the restaurants and things to do. The walls were thin and you could even here the neighbors every move. Especially the 😴😴😴. The shower smelt dirty but other wise was clean and nice. Parking is tight but convenient. I wouldn’t call it a “penthouse” either.

Trailhead Lodge - Excellent Condo Property
We have been going to Steamboat for 20+ years and this was one of our best stays at a condo in a long time. The unit/condo is in great condition and you cannot beat the location and the amenities of the Trailhead Lodge (Wildhorse). Plus, the owners and management company were very clear in their communications. Very smooth process. Highly recommended!

Great Property, Great Location, Great Amenities
We had everything we needed. It was nice to have basic staples like washing powder and dishwasher powder and seasonings provided. The property is awesome for pool, hot tubs, and grills. Only thing I would suggest for improvement would be supplying more than one key. Hard to get by with just one for a family of three. We would recommend this property for sure to others.

The key system for this property is managed by the property's HOA company, which is not affiliated with our company. The HOA company is currently reviewing their system for potential improvements.

We stayed here with our children. It was extremely convenient and close to everything. Extremely clean and well cared for. The laundry unit was definitely one of the best parts. Will stay here again.

Check in process & communication was fantastic and easy. The condo was clean and lovely. Would definitely stay again. Just note - the pool / hot tub hours are a bit less than ideal (I know unit owner has no say in this) - I just feel it's worth noting. Pool/hot tubs don't open until 10a and close at 8p. It would be nice to be able to relax in the hot tubs beyond 8p. It also could be that it was the shoulder season and maybe hours are different during summer/winter. Despite that, I'd still highly recommend this property.

We were so happy to see everything was as described! Clean & everything you could possibly need. Plenty of space. Loved the hot tubs. It was a great location! Great view of the mountains! We would rent it again. Only item that needs attention is the bathtub drain is slow. Otherwise, amazing property!

Property was very nice. Amenities were excellent - can’t beat one of the biggest pools in the steamboat area. AC was nice as not a lot of properties in the mountains have this. Overall we really enjoyed our stay, and it was at a good value. Only feedback would be to improve check-in experience for guests.

Perfect Location with Kids
Such a perfect spot, especially with kids. Besides the awesome pool, hottubs and game room, the gondola up to base is 20 steps from the hotel garage! We all know what comes with Kids and skiing...stuff to carry! This easy access up made life easy and that's what vacation should be like, right? Definitely coming back!

Excellent location. Using VBRO very frustrating. Condo had broken blinds, icemaker falling out of refrigerator, clogged drain, dryer not working properly, light bulbs out, dirty couch, in need of deep cleaning. Mountain Vacations blamed owner. Owner indifferent. When you pay for a 4 star property and get 2 star service it's obvious something is wrong.

The property was exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The location was ideal given its proximity to the gondola, secured storage for ski equipment, and private garage parking. The hot tubs and heated pool were an additional bonus, as was the pizza in the next building over. We had an exceptional experience and will certainly be repeat customers whenever we return to Steamboat!

Nice condo with beautiful views of the mountain. Close to gondola or an easy walk up to the village if you don’t have ski boots on. Also not too far to free bus stop for easy access to downtown. Amenities like the hot tub, pool and fitness center were very nice.

We really enjoyed our time at the property. The facilities are clean, swimming pools/hot tubs are appealing and maintained. I would stay again. A couple of areas that I would have appreciated is the furniture and bed was a little uncomfortable. A larger TV would have been nice. Also, better observation from management around the pool area because someone was able to bring a dog in and no one was there to enforce the pool policies regarding animals.

We appreciate the general feedback and have passed it along to the owner as a suggested improvement, though comfort levels and opinions vary greatly from guest to guest. You can see from previous positive reviews that many guests have been very satisfied and comfortable in this condo. The management team does their best to monitor the common areas, but just as most other businesses, they are short-staffed this year as well. If guests see a violation of policies, we encourage them to reach out to us or the property managers at the front desk to report the issue.

The open kitchen and living room were great when cooking. Kitchen had all utensils that we needed. Location is great and had nice pool for our children to swim. Hot tubs were closed due to COVID but they looked nice. The den area is small but worked for our two young children.

Our favorite place to stay in Steamboat!
We have been coming to Steamboat for over 30 years now and this has become our favorite place to stay! We have been staying at the Trailhead Lodge for over the last 10 years now and we couldn't be happier. This is such a nice facility with the pool, 3 hot tubs and workout out room. The convenience to skiing is second to none. With the heated boot room and ski storage and the private Gondola that takes you right to Ski Time Square there is not a better location in town. We are already looking forward to next years trip to Steamboat at the Trailhead Lodge. Tom M.
