Ein perfekter Ort zur Erholung
Wir haben den Chlosterhof als Zwischenstation auf unserer zweitägigen Wanderung gewählt. Ein perfekter Ort zur Erholung: gutes Essen, komfortable Zimmer, ruhige Umgebung. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Great escape
Our visti was in Jan. when everything is closed at Stein am Rhein. It, however, was a wonderful escape from the meeting in Zurich. Hotel is more than wondeful. The hotel restaurant was classy and good meals for dinner and free breakfast. The scrambled egg was so fresh and delicious.

Très bon business hotel
J'ai beaucoup aimé ce très confortable hotel qui semble avoir surtout une vocation ´business' a en croire toutes les quotatiôns inscrites un peu partout dans les chambres et sur tous les murs de l'hôtel .Mais sa situation a Stein am Rhein en fait un superbe endroit touristique

Non conforme à nos attentes sur trop de points !
Hotel vide mais chambre côté parking. Bar fermé. Douche avec fuite et lampe de chevet défectueuse. Petit déjeuner jusqu'à 10h, buffet pas réalimenté et serveuse pressée de débarasser. Dommage que personne ne parle le français.

Feudal, aber...
Wir haben uns eine vergleichsweise gehobene Herberge geleistet und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Alles war ausnehmend angenehm und erholsam: das suitenähnliche Zimmer, die Sauberkeit, die Ruhe im Zimmer, die Sauna, die ausladende Fülle des feinen Frühstücksbuffets, die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Sogar ein winziger Ausschnitt des nahen Rheins war erspähbar. – Zwei winzige Unvollkommenheiten möchten wir aber der Vollständigkeit halber festhalten: In der Stille des Zimmer war das Ächzen und Knarren der Betten bei der geringsten Bewegung doch sehr störend. Und: zur Kaffee- & Kuchenzeit genehmigten wir uns eine Zwetschgen-Wähe, die wirklich minderwertig und unappetitlich war. Eigentlich wären wir mit Migros-Qualität zufrieden gewesen.

The location is great, right at the edge of the beautiful historic down town. We actually walked with our luggage from the train station, which is a bit farther than we anticipated, and we would not advise this option for travelers having large bags (particularly with some narrow cobblestone sidewalks along the way). The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the food in the Italian restaurant was pretty good, and the staff was very helpful. We were only in the town for 1 day, but we loved it and would certainly recommend it as a nice 1-2 day excursion.

Very good experience
Overall very pleasant experience. I only wish the TV system made more non-German-speaking channels. Indeed we only had one in English and 3 in French. Other than that, top notch! --- Très bonne expérience dans l'ensemble. J'aurais seulement préféré qu'il y ait plus de chaînes de télévision qui ne soient pas en allemand. En effet, nous avions une chaîne en anglais et 3 en français... Sinon, c'était impeccable!

Tidy and large room with excellent mini-bar
The hotel is located at one end of the main street of the city centre which is a bit faraway from the train station. The external facade and common areas of the hotel looks a bit old, but the rooms are large and comfortable. All rooms have balconies. Yet our room is located on 1/F so that the balcony is actually linked with a flat roof and the view is not good. Surprisingly there is mini-bar with sink and exhaust hood being concealed in a cabinet! Also, the use of split-type air-conditioner for each room (which is more quiet and with better air quality) is another good arrangement. Hair-dryer, bottled water and coffee machine are provided free-of-charge. I would definitely choose the same hotel if I visit the city again.

very nice hotel, but modern
This is a very nice hotel with a lovely, convenient location. The only drawback is that it is a modern building in an extraordinarily beautiful historic old town.
