Beautiful waterfront Property
My friends and I stayed at this property for the second year in a row on an annual fishing trip on Lake Ontario. I could not speak more highly to the relaxing nature of this property. Beautiful views overlooking the lake and even a nature trail that leads out the pack yard. The gift basket left by the host was a generous gesture. We will 100% be back next year

Grad Weekend on Lake Ontario
We had an amazing weekend at this amazing property. The owners were perfect: completely informative and organized, lots of resources in their booklet, very clear check-in/check-out instructions. I cannot say enough. I recommend it for anyone at all. The Lake and its surroundings are spectacular.

We recently visited Lake Ontario to enjoy some fishing. Our stay at this property was perfect. Jen is an incredibly attentive and responsive property owner. She even had the refrigerator stocked with bottles of water, and a lovely basket of cheese and other snacks. A+++

Comfortable for a group of guys PLUS one’s wife that wanted some privacy
This property just worked for us on so many levels. From a wife’s point of view, the layout of the house was excellent! My husband and I took the master bedroom which had an en-suite bath. Our friends (4 adults who’s significant others didn’t join us) were comfortable sharing a bathroom and claiming the other beds available. We enjoyed the rocking chairs with view of the lake and would eagerly wait for one of us to vacate a chair so another could claim it. Had the weather been milder, we probably would have sat outside more. But, with it being October, we knew we’d be housebound most of the time.

Very relaxing spot
Stayed at this property with a small group of friends for a weekend of fishing. The house was perfect size for our group of 6 people. The views of the sunset over Lake Ontario were amazing, weather was great, and fishing was good. Hope to return next year.

Amazing Sunsets
We had a great stay here, the sunsets were some of the best I've ever seen. The place was nice and clean, the only thing we were slightly put off by was that the description is a little misleading as far as proximity to the lake. The house is across the street from the lake and the property sits on a cliff, there is no access to the lake from the property, you have to walk about 1/2 a mile up the road and then down a narrow path to access the lake. Otherwise everything was great and I would recommend that others stay here, as long as they are okay with a slightly long walk to access the lake.

I'm glad you had a good stay and got to see some great sunsets. Sorry about the walk to the shore. My husband built stairs some years ago for us to get down to the water from the property but we didn't get a chance to bring them up last year and that powerful lake took them right away this past spring.

Highly Recommend
The last thing I want is for this place to get popular because then we'd have a hard time finding the time to book it amongst everyone else! This space is truly a hidden gem. The lake views are outstanding. The house is more than adequate (the washer and dryer were an added bonus). The property was brimming with wildlife - it's like living in Snow White's dream! We will be returning - 100%. Hands down, one of the best VRBO's we've ever stayed at. ~Lake Life~

Rest and relaxation.
. Jennifer's house was located in an amazing spot down a dirt road with a gorgeous view of the lake! We are very outdoorsy people and enjoyed the property! The house was clean upon arrival which is a super bonus during these times! We were greeted with a nice welcome basket! Jennifer was very attentive to our needs and was fairly quick to answer any questions we had! The BBQ grill worked well enough for us to cook our meals, and the house was well stocked with plenty of untensils and kitchen ware. The upstairs beds were not comfortable. Which made for rough night's sleep. Overall Jennifer's house gets a 4/5 rating!

Just what we needed!
I can not be more thankful for our time at the Ellirose! It was just what my family needed! On any given day they could walk out the front door to play, ride bikes or jump in the lake, literally! The house was the perfect size for all 5 of us to carve out or own spots, or come together to eat, and play games. Their spot on Lake Ontario is perfect! Whether I was having coffee out on the swing overlooking the lake, bbqing, playing with the boys or just watching the perfect sunsets, it's your own slice of heaven!

Perfect place for a getaway!
What a great find! We rented Jen's house for a mom's weekend away for 6 of us. Jen was very helpful in giving information about the area and details about the house. There's plenty of space in the house, yard, and at the beach for whatever you might want to do. The house was super clean and well stocked, and there was even a gift basket and water in the refrigerator. We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend the weekend.

Visit for Sterling Renaissance Festival
Main purpose was to attend the Sterling Renaissance Festival which we very much enjoyed. House was a great way to spend the weekend. Views were wonderful. House was great for the six of us. Was wonderful having air conditioning as the outdoor temp was in the 90's and very muggy. Hosts were easy to deal with left a very nice welcome basket. House had all of the necessities including washer, dryer, and dishwasher which is always appreciated. Kitchen was well supplied. Lots of room for everyone to do what they wanted without being on top of each other. We didn't miss not having cable TV with the addition of Netflix provided. Would be fun to spend a week in the area as we had allocated only the weekend.

My family and I loved this little house. Perfect for a laid back visit to this area - it felt like home in a very short period of time. The owners were helpful and left a "welcome" package in the refrigerator for us. Comfortable beds. Nice area for walking or enjoying the lake. Quiet. I highly recommend. NOTE: This house was originally on the opposite side of the street. When it was moved, it retained the same street address. So if you are looking on the left, think again.

Mesmerising sunsets and a charming house
A perfect place for mesmerizing sunsets, listening to the waves, watching the water, thinking about your work or just lazing around. We also made day trips to Niagara Falls (a long drive) and a winery, Corning and Cornell University (much more feasible). We also spent a short time in nearby Oswego and the area around the river was charming. But given a choice, I would have preferred to spend all my time by the lake and the house. My extended family of seven rented the house for 5 days in mid-August. The house is set back about 150 feet from the Lake Ontario shoreline (a wise decision because of erosion concerns) and the lawn extends to the bluff which is about 15 feet higher than the shoreline. A set of steps goes down to the shoreline. There is a swing and a set of tables close to the bluff so that one can watch the lake at close range. The lake is also visible from the house and the chairs just outside the house. The beach is about 25 feet wide and pebbly so one needs slippers or shoes to wade in the water. On the ground floor there is a master bedroom with a king sized bed for two or three people and another room with a twin bed. Upstairs there is a small bedroom for two or three people. There is also a sofa downstairs where I slept and a sofa bed upstairs. There was room enough for 7 people. The house has all the amenities - a good kitchen, washer dryer, plates, dishes etc. Groceries, drug store, gas station are within a 15 minute drive. We did not sample the restaurants nearby but Oswego is a 15 minute drive with several restaurants. Communication via text and email with the host Jen was pleasant and prompt. If I have to quibble, I would have liked another lamp or more light in the piano room and perhaps a faster internet connection. However, we were fine with these issues and perhaps not having a faster internet connection is a blessing. Jen, thanks again.

Had a great stay with friends and family - perfect house for enjoying the serenity of Lake Ontario! Equipped with everything needed; BBQ, yard games, fire pit, water access - very nice house with plenty of room for hospitality. Homeowners are very responsive and quick to meet all that is needed before, during, and after your stay. Hoping to visit again - highly recommended!

Peaceful Natural Lakefront Setting
Jennifer and Pete's space is the perfect quiet retreat on Lake Ontario. The house itself is very comfortable, immaculately clean, well organized, and equipped with most everything you need. The soundscape is noteworthy -- sounds of the waves crashing and the wind through the trees create a sense of peace and connection with nature. The house is also very private and cozy, and the screened front porch and open back patio provide great places to sit and relax no matter what the weather brings. The lakefront set-up is simple and well thought-out. The swing overlooking the lake is perfect for contemplating the vast open beauty of the water and the sky. The shed and table is great for enjoying snacks and drinks, and there was even a friendly (and forward) fox that made an appearance around nightfall. The lakeside fire pit is magical if the winds aren't too strong. Access to the lake beach down the steps was stable and convenient, and there are billions of well-honed lake stones to stack and collect. Highly recommended!

Memorable weekend with friends at Elirose
My friends and I spent the 4th of July weekend at Elirose and couldn't have asked for a better getaway. Jennifer was super helpful and responsive, and everything we could have wanted was provided at the house so we didn't have to worry about bringing too much. The house itself was beautiful, charming, and extremely clean - even nicer than in the pictures! We loved the private lake access and the vast amount of lawn space to relax, grill, and play games. We definitely hope to return in the future!

Great Little Place!
This place was perfect for a long weekend fishing. We were a group of fisherman (and women) and this house was just what we were looking for. Enough space, extremely clean (no dead bugs or cobwebs as you'd expect in the country), nice and warm, a fireplace, and the cherry on top: a rocking chair. It's definitely the little things that make a difference. One thing that impressed us all is how well the house if built; not a draft to be felt anywhere. We were in the middle of gale storm the entire weekend and the house was quiet and warm. We'd definitely stay here again. Thanks for having us!

Great Girls Getaway!
Had a great time celebrating our 35th birthdays at Elirose! It was such a beautiful property, clean, spacious and stocked with all the necessities. The access to the lake was perfect and easily accessible by stairs. The lake front was peaceful, private and relaxing. The area down by the fire pit has the perfect view of the beautiful sunset and the shed had everything we needed and more. The house was clean and beautifully maintained. We really enjoyed our time and I look forward to coming back someday and would love to come back with my family as well. Seems like the perfect set up inside and outside of the home for my family to enjoy. The kids would just love the loft bedroom, lake and so much about this property. Thank you to Jennifer for always being so responsive to all of our questions prior to our arrival. Can't wait to come back and we highly recommend this property to others.
