'We had a wonderful stay at the Lakes. It’s such a beautiful setting with so many activities on offer including a spa. We ate in the restaurant and it really is an experience- the food and service were outstanding. Bedrooms are beautiful - decor and furnishings. 'Beautiful and spacious cottage. So well equipped and the location was spot on. The hosts Ken and Jane were lovely, friendly and welcoming people and the freshly made bread and honey was amazing!Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend at all and would definitely book again if we were staying in the area!'

'Car park a treck if you have items to carry. Digital key code would not work setting alarm off. Told to wait 45 mins for someone to come and re set until she remembered emergency key in cupboard in hallway. Flat lovely inside however bathroom lock was broken and no cold water coming through the shower scalding us. Reported but nonresponse. Fans on and off from building next door. When going out in the morning seeing the entrance in daylight was horrible. Bins and just not a safe looking place....

'This is a lovely place. Incredibly spacious, quiet, and situated perfectly to explore the Cotswolds. The amenities are amazing (we made very good use of the indoor pool - ideal given the heatwave during our visit) and the location is really beautiful. Communication with the hosts was clear and welcoming - we'd love to come back. '

'We were only here one night, but I loved staying in this flat! It was a real insight into how people live their everyday lives in a city the size of Oxford. Manu was excellent about communicating with us and made sure we would have no trouble finding the flat or getting into it. I wish we could have stayed here longer, and I would definitely reach out to him again if I ever travel back this way!'

'We arrived a little early and greeted by Pauline who is extremely welcoming and friendly. Our suite (Tailors) was ready and we were able to check in. Everything was immaculate, including the lovely garden which has plenty of seating. Thoughtful provision of milk, orange juice, water, biscuits plus teas and coffee was very welcome after a long journey. Location to the characterful town of Woodstock is perfect, just a few minutes stroll and you are amongst the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants....

'Small but charming room. Tends to be warm on the rare sunny days, opening the windows helped when there was a breeze. Very nice and courteous housekeeper. Approximately a 5 minute walk to grocery store, 10min to High Street and 25 min to train station. Overall a great stay!'

'Host was difficult to reach. We never received check in information. We had to call the property owner twice and Travel Nest three times over several hours to get the information. Listing also says the house house has a washer and dryer, but there is no dryer. '

'Fantastic little spot. Better than I thought and so well done. Thankyou for a great stay. Shame I forgot to bring a towel but that’s my fault for not reading the description so I had to shower at soho farmhouse. Waking up to the sound of the birds was incredible. '

'Exactly as advertised. Kurt, the owner, was prompt in responding to every question. Great location if you don’t mind a little walking. Quiet, safe residential area. Cab fares to most Oxford locations were reasonable. Highly recommended by all three of us (seniors).'

'We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful cottage in Burton on the Water! It's beautifully located in a quiet area of the village, but very close to the centre with all the shops and restaurants. A perfect spot to explore the Cotswolds, with beautiful walks, but also a really nice cottage to sit back and relax, catch up on reading and sleeping after busy times. Dawn was very kind and made sure everything was perfect. We hope to be able to come back!'

'A very charming convenient place. It’s definitely a very old building, so be prepared for that. Low door frames that my 6’3” husband had to constantly duck for. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom and kitchen were updated. Overall a pleasant stay. '

'The studio is about a 25 minute walk from the train station—easily walkable if you have one rolling bag. Otherwise, cab is convenient and under 10 pounds. Excellent communication re: self check-in. Our unit was atop 20 steps and an ‘attic’ unit with short ceilings on one half, which was a bit of a challenge for us at over 6’ tall. We managed fine, however. "it's a Courtyard Marriott. Still relatively young hotel so everything still well-maintained and clean. Does what it says on the tin for this chain. All staff I encountered were polite, friendly and efficient."

"Leuk hotel, ook omdat inspecteur Morse hier vaak in de Morse-bar kwam😬 Hier zit je echt leuk. Mooie maar warme kamer. Openen op een kier van het raam (binnenplaats) kwam met een straalmotor-achtig geluid vanuit een of ander apparaat. Toch goed geslapen met hulp van de vloerventilator. De locatie in de stad is perfect, centraal en tegenover een prachtig museum."
