The Alsatian Loft in the heart of the Petite France district in Strasbourg. A magnificent half-timbered building dating from 1676, the Lohkäs takes its name from the activity of tanners, which is particularly developed in this district of Strasbourg. As soon as you walk through the door, you are in a warm Alsatian loft in a fully air-conditioned triplex consisting of:

1st level:
- Air-conditioned bedroom with non-separable double bed and television opening onto a bathroom with walk-in shower
- A large closet with storage space and washing machine
- 1 separate toilet

2nd level:
- Air-conditioned living/dining room with a large table and 6 chairs, 2 sofas, 1 large flat-screen TV
- Electric shutters on the entire floor
- Equipped open kitchen (oven, hob, hood, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine, kettle, toaster, etc.) and integrated counter with stools

3rd level:
- Air-conditioned bedroom with non-separable double bed opening onto a bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet.
- An open staircase leads from the 3rd level to a mezzanine with 2 armchairs and a desk area.

Located in the lively district of Petite France, you will be directly installed in the heart of the historic city center of Strasbourg and will be able to discover the typical architecture of the region as well as many restaurants and local shops.

As the apartment is located on a pedestrian square, no direct access by car is possible (several public car parks are available in the area)

- clean towels and bath mats

It should be noted that due to the presence of many stairs, some of which have open steps, the apartment is not recommended for young children who could fall.

This apartment is non-smoking. The use of cigarettes, e-cigarettes, hookahs and any other smoking device is prohibited.
Smoking or using a smoking device will result in an additional €250 cleaning charge penalty.

Bed linen and towels as well as standard final cleaning at the end of the stay are included in the price. This includes change of bed linen, general cleaning of the apartment and sanitary facilities.
However, it is up to you to clean and put away the dishes, take out the garbage cans, empty the fridge, freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave as well as tidy up inside the apartment. If you do not want to take care of this, you can order a supplement called "complete cleaning" of the apartment before your arrival for 30 euros. In the absence of prior reservation of this option, and in the event of non-compliance with these instructions, penalties of €60 for cleaning costs will be invoiced to you.

Aweful, aweful, aweful! This was the worst property that I could have imagined! The advertisement for this property is totaly false and misleading! If it were not for the actions of the property manager, we would have been stuck in this property. The unit was dirty, smelly and unlivable! The ac did not work. The sewer smell in the unit was unbearable. The property manager of the unit (Cotoon)was quick to step in and relocated us to a nearby hotel. Thank you Cotoon for doing the right thing. This could have been a dseaster but thanks to Cotoon it was okay.

We loved this apartment…it was clean, spacious, and perfectly situated. Amazingly picturesque & within easy walking distance to all sites. Check in was confusing due to management property sending different address with check in information than the one listed on the VRBO website. After check in, I could not get management to respond to a concern I had about the location. Overall, a wonderful stay in Strasbourg despite communication difficulties.

Die gesamze Wohnung hat aufgrund eines Problems mit dem Duschabfluss zum Himmel gestunken. Trotz mehrerer Telefonate und Email mit der Agentur keine Problemlösung. Sehr enttäuschend! Insgesamt war die Unterkunft viel zu schmutzig.

This was one of the best vacation homes I have ever stayed in. It was the perfect location-- centrally located to many of Strasbourg's Christmas markets. It was spacious, the hosts were very responsive, and it was overall clean. There was an issue with the shower but the staff were quick to apologize and fix the issue, it didn't impact our stay at all.

We would very much recommend this unique loft apartment to those looking to stay in Strasbourg! The property was a very large space located on three separate floors with two bedrooms that each had their own bathroom/shower – which was a big plus, and hard to find in other Strasbourg rentals – and also had a large common area! The location of the house in Petite France was very convenient to walk to all areas we wanted to visit. It was a lot of fun looking out the windows on the Maison des Tanneurs and the river and being in the center of such a historic neighborhood! Do note that the house is in the middle of a high traffic tourist area and above a restaurant, so there is a lot of activity in the area but it didn’t seem particularly loud inside the house. The design of the modern apartment in a historic building is very cool, but there are a number of unique stairs you have to maneuver to get to all the spaces. Upon arrival there was a musky smell, particularly in the bathrooms, but we opened the windows and got air fresheners and the smell dissipated some after the first couple days. The apartment in general was perfectly clean and the entrance to the apartment through the back gate of the restaurant was not as unpleasant as some other reviews indicated. There are unique aspects to the property that might not be perfect for everyone (as noted in other reviews), but worked fine for us. We enjoyed our 5 day stay very much at the Lohkas Triplex Loft and recommend it to others!

Traditionelles Fachwerkhaus mit Charme im Stadtteil Petit France. Fussläufig alles im Zentrum der Altstadt zu erreichen. Der Eingangsbereich über den Hinterhof eines Restaurants ist nicht gerade einladend. Die Abflüsse im Haus sind veraltet. Trotzdem würden wir wieder kommen.

The apartment is beautiful and well located. The hosts were responsive. However, this apartment is not for anyone who has concerns about navigating narrow stairs or falling. And, the "courtyard" entrance, your first encounter with the property, is not a courtyard but a utility yard for a restaurant. This information should be revealed. I am giving the apartment a 5 so that I don't mess the owner up with VRBO. Bottom line is that it is a great apartment in a beautiful location for the right people.

Wonderful apartment in the heart of the old town. Close to everything. Spacious, clean, comfortable beds, did have air con, good choice for our family of 4 adults. Amazing old architecture. Property mngmt was responsive but I wouldn't say quick to respond. We would have stayed another night but it took 24 hours for them to respond after emails and phone calls, too late as we had to be out by then. If driving, closest car park is a 10 minute walk and I think train is a good 10 minute walk as well. Entrance is funky being at the back of a restaurant plus you are over the restaurant but it's what it is. You don't smell cooking or hear anything from below once in the apartment. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Charmant appartement idéalement situé en centre ville. Attention pour ceux qui souhaitent s’y rendre en voiture le centre ville est résolument organisé pour les vélos et les transports en commun. Parking du centre à 600m de l’appartement à pied / 20min pour y garer la voitire.

Staying at this property was a blissful escape from our daily lives. The triplex was a wonderful landing zone for our family of teens and provided us the perfect meeting space to socialize together in the evenings. I would highly recommend this property to others.
