Dit hippische landgoed heeft een zeer privé-omgeving met een weelderig landschap. Wit hekwerk omringt de graslanden. De fontein danst op de privévijver. Bekijk de prachtige zonsopgang boven de ceders. Geniet van een middag kijken naar de paarden en koeien die grazen en spelen. Geniet van de kleurrijke zonsondergangen terwijl u zit bij uw eigen vuurplaats.

Het prachtig ingerichte woongedeelte is een groot studio-appartement. Er is een nieuw kingsize bed en 2 aparte log bedden. Een door Amish gebouwde tafel en eetkamerstoelen bieden uitzicht op de overdekte arena. Kitchenette heeft een onder-counter koelkast, magnetron, broodrooster, koffiepot, gootsteen, servies en bestek. Alle beddengoed en handdoeken voorzien. De eigen badkamer heeft een nieuwe douche, een nieuw toilet en een nieuwe wastafel met een stenen aanrechtblad.

Wat je kunt zien in de stal: dagelijkse voedingen van de paarden, koeien, geiten, kippen en stalkat, het verzamelen van de kippeneieren, de paarden en koeien die 's ochtends naar hun weiden wandelen en elke avond terugkeren naar hun stallen. Afhankelijk van de dag kunnen er dressuurruiters op hun paarden worden bekeken en wordt ons één jaar oude paard, Optimus, getraind.

* OPMERKING: De stabiele dieren zijn wakker en verwachten hun eerste voeding rond 7 uur. We zullen zo stil mogelijk zijn! Houd er rekening mee dat het appartement aan de stal is bevestigd en u mogelijk wat activiteit hoort.

* Belangrijk: omdat u voor uw veiligheid op een werkende boerderij verblijft, vragen wij u rekening te houden met de dieren, ruiters, landbouwmachines, hekwerken, enz. Toestemming en toezicht zijn vereist om toegang te krijgen tot de stal, de voerruimte, het kippenhok en voor het verkennen van het uitgebreide pand. Als je een beetje wilt verkennen, laat het ons weten en we zullen meer dan blij zijn om een goed moment op te zetten om je rond te leiden.

* Als de tijd het toelaat, kan er een mogelijkheid zijn om van dichtbij een "Meet & Greet" te houden met onze dieren.

* Bij aankomst dient voor elke gast een aansprakelijkheidsverklaring te worden ondertekend.

My husband surprised me for our 10 year anniversary by booking us a weekend at the farm and it was a truly refreshing and memorable experience. Steve and Tammy were warm and welcoming, making us feel at home right away. They gave us a tour of the property and introduced us to the animals, which was the highlight of our stay. From helping to collect eggs to interacting with all the horses, chickens, cows, and cats I couldn’t have asked for more. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared. Steve and Tammy gave so many suggestions of things to do during the day around Door County that when you are not with the animals you will have plenty to look forward to. Nights were quiet and serene, with stunning views of the stars. Overall, I highly recommend this farm stay to anyone looking to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy simple pleasures. It’s a perfect retreat for families and/or couples who need to relax and have a peaceful experience. We can’t wait to go back with our daughters to share the experience with them.

Clean, Friendly, Perfect little getaway

My husband and I spent the weekend at the farm and had a wonderful time! Perfect place tucked away from busy city life but close enough to attractions. The owners were very friendly, easy to communicate with, and gave us suggestions for lunch/dinner and places to check out. We are excited to bring our family back next summer! The animals were definitely a bonus as well. We got to feed the horses treats, meet the dogs, and the baby miniature highland calf. Highly recommend this slice of heaven for the perfect getaway.

Peaceful Getaway

We had an amazing time, we didn’t want to leave! Every morning and evening we “helped” with barn chores with the animals, which really just means we gave them lots of snuggles and treats. Tammy and Steve are super friendly and very kind hosts! The only thing I would say, is the GPS got us all turned around a few times finding the property. BUT…. Once you get to the property, you will be transported into a quiet, peaceful sanctuary, WE WILL BE BACK!

Stable Room Serenity in Door County

Our four-night stay at the Stable Living Quarters was the most relaxing experience on a trip that we have taken in a long time. Our hosts were caring, accommodating and above all, wonderful people that we now consider our friends. We loved the grounds, the room, spending time with the animals, the secluded/quiet location, and the fire pit for evening relaxation. The room was immaculate, there were no barn odors, and we never heard the animals at night and rarely during the day. The Stable was just a 10-minute drive to Sturgeon Bay and within 30-minutes to most Door County tourist sites and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again if we should return to northeast Wisconsin.

Tammy and Steve were great hosts. Despite being adjacent to the stable, we didn’t hear much noise from the animals. It was dreamy waking up to the beautiful horses right next door. We are from Chicago and Door County is always our summer vacation destination, but this has been so far the most memorable experience. Would definitely recommend for a summer getaway from the city!

Wonderful Country stay

Tammy and Steve have a beautiful hobby farm with several horses, cattle and chickens. The guest house which is attached to the horse stables is beautifully furnished, well maintained and quiet! Their location made driving to nearby parks and restaurants a breeze, yet far enough away to enjoy their peaceful surroundings. By the way the fresh eggs are delicious!!

Waking up to horses and cows and beautiful pasture every morning was wonderful. The home was fully stocked with supplies and even had a washer and dryer, full fridge, and toaster oven that wasn’t pictured. Hosts were great with any help or info needed. We had a great time and it was very close to all the surrounding towns for adventures.

Cozy Ranch Stay

For a first time trip to Door County we could not resist this place! From the actual building to the beautiful animals and wildlife everything was amazing. Tammy and her family were wonderful to talk to about the area hotspots and let us see all the animals. Would highly recommend for anyone going to the area or just a get away! Awesome experience

We chose this as a last minute get away. We love animals and thought it would be a unique setting. The listing describes it perfectly. The family is so kind and gracious. We interacted with the dogs, cats, chickens and horses and visited with the family while they cared for the farm. It was welcoming and warm. We chose to engage and learn about the farm. We explored every part of Door County from this location. The apartment is very private and comfortable. I highly recommend! Thank you for an amazing get away - the fresh eggs were a treat. Tell Chief we’ll miss him! We visited his stall each evening.

Relaxing stay on the farm

First of all the family owners were exceptional. They greated us with open arms and really invited us to take time with the horses. My wife was side by side with feeding time. And if your worried about staying in a stable house, don't! It is fixed up very nicely, with some of the best furniture I have had in a VRBO unit. And you can't hear any noise, it was pretty sound proof. I sat outside for about 3 hours just watching the cattle, chickens and horses and just relaxed. We also went to thier bar they own in Sturgeon Bay and threw some Axes. It was great. Thank you again for a great get away.

Not just a "stay"... but an EXPERIENCE!

The grounds were incredible, the lodging was as advertised and previously reviewed: clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. The hosts, Tammy and Steve, were so welcoming and friendly. Animal Lover's Paradise

This was a truly unique experience: a working stable with an attached apartment, with windows looking directly into the stable! Got to meet the horses and cows and give them treats. Hosts were friendly and welcoming. Property is expansive and secluded, but close to many nearby attractions. Accommodations were clean, comfortable and attractive. Might just mention it is probably best suited to morning people, as being a working stable there is activity that starts early in the morning. Luckily, we are very sound sleepers, and found any disturbance minimal. All in all, thoroughly enjoyable, and highly recommended!

Would love to return!

I can not say enough good things about our stay. The whole experience was wonderful! The location is very peaceful with gorgeous scenery. The hosts (and family) were fantastic! The horses are what drew us to this property and we were not disappointed. My kids were able to greet and treat the horses, mini-horses, and cows each day. Also, the hosts‘ 23 year old daughter (who is great with kids) let my kids help with feedings and some chores. The apartment was clean with plenty of seating room. Though it didn’t have a full kitchen, it did have a Keurig, a regular coffee maker, an air fryer/toaster oven, microwave, a griddle, and an under the counter fridge, in addition to dishes, cups, and utensils. Would love to return if we make it back to Door County!
