Great cabin and sights amazing on way here!
We have enjoyed our stay here. Cabin is in a nice and welcoming neighborhood with a fair amount of privacy. Would definitely stay here again! We were here for daughter’s graduation and commissioning ceremony at UNG. Owner had restaurant recommendations and highlighted Wildcat BBQ. It was very good, thank you! Short scenic drive to Vogel State Park, very beautiful!

Nice place for a quick getaway.
Property was lovely. Very clean and quiet. Definitely would recommend to someone. One suggestion would be blinds or coverings for the glass doors. At night you could see straight into the house through the doors.

Just right for this trip
The cabin is very nice. Clean and has everything you would need to accommodate you on vacation. I would love to have a King bed in the upstairs loft area. But the Queen bed was OK. The floors are very clean and I love all the wood in the cabin. It’s very nicely decorated. We were able to have a fire outside in the fire ring and we enjoyed that. The drive to Dahlonega or Blue Ridge is about 45 minutes. But usually you only do that there for the day and back home that evening. It’s quite, but there are houses around you on the loop. We have stayed here twice. I recommend it. The kids loved it as well. We had 4 adults and 4 kids. The drive way is steep and two vehicles fit in without a problem.

Excellent cabin near lots of sights
While staying at this beautiful cabin we enjoyed panning for gold, picking apples, a winery and hiking to a waterfall. The comfortable cabin with all things streaming welcomed us home each night.

The cabin was perfect and had every amenity we needed! And the proximity to the trailhead was mind blowing. We hiked every morning and then simply walked back to the cabin. This was a very safe neighborhood tucked away up in unincorporated Suches and we will definitely be back next year!!

Lovely cabin!
This cabin was exactly as described. It was very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, utensils and pizza / cookie sheets. The coffee pot uses regular grounds or k cups. There are a couple bullfrogs in the pond that sang us to sleep. Lol In just a short hike from the cabin you’re on the Appalachian Trail! 😁 My only complaint is the hot water. The tank isn’t large enough and half way through a shower it’s completely cold. Also there is no hot water at all in upstairs sink.

Weekend Stay
Had a wonderful time enjoying Kay’s Kabin for a girlfriends weekend getaway. It was easy to find and close to other outdoor activities. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen was outfitted wonderfully. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

We loved the house and location. Very familiar to me from my youth! I would suggest cleaning the cabinets and floors a bit more intensely. However, the owner has thought of so many touches that make this cabin like home away from home.

Check in was not available at 3 pm as stated . Waited on porch till 4:30 . Jenny the cleaner was working hard and was nice . She had double work load as previous visitors had very hairy . . dogs. Hair everywhere. Had to take blankets and spreads home to wash . Sheets on bed but nothing else . Never saw the complimentary bottle of wine . Benny came back later that night with clean blankets so we made the beds. Porch a mess with cigarette ash . Not a good beginning !!

Most people leave the cabin in decent shape, but occasionally some people are extremely messy. I'm very sorry for the inconvenience but my cleaning lady needed to wash all of the blankets to make sure everything was clean for you. She always goes above and beyond to make sure the cabin is clean for all guest. Since this usually only happens a couple of times a year, I've been putting off making check in an hour later and check out an hour earlier. Thank for being so understanding on the phone. The property was excellent. It is near the Appalachian Trail so hiking was easy, even a couple of trail right out the back door.

Nice cabin
This property is extremely hard to get to. More than 15 miles of twisting and turning roads off the main highway. You must travel these roads anytime you leave the property. There is no level ground anywhere on the property, not even for parking. You must park at an extreme angle. The cabin was clean with a well stocked kitchen. The loft bathrooms' hot water faucet didn't work and the owner was aware of it. Why would he rent this property without fixing it first? We left early due to these issues. This rental will not be on our list for a return visit.

The mountain roads are curvy. I'm sorry the cold was the only side of the faucet that worked while you were there. I'm replacing the faucet when I go back 6/21. Thanks Richard

Walk to Appalachian Trail!
We loved our stay at Kay's Kabin! The cabin was very clean, the beds are super comfy. The neighborhood is very quiet and tucked in a little hollow in the mountains. The best part for us was how close it was to the Appalachian Trail. You can walk out the door and be on the AT in 10 minutes!

House was clean and the Fireplace kept us warm when the electricity was being rolled by the electric company because of the 100year winter storm. Maybe have a little more firewood available for guest , but overall a great house, nicely decorated for Christmas!!

Disappointed in service
We arrived to find cabin wasn’t ready. Man and woman were there making up beds and did not change sheets we should have gone home then but everyone wasn’t there yet. No towels, one in bathroom down stairs. No extra bathroom paper. The list goes on but know that the ones taking care of place did not do their jobs. We had trash piled up on the porch from second day there. They never helped us in anyway. Kitchen was not equipped. We had to buy a can opener even. I.usually don’t complain but was so disappointed. It was my birthday (78) and we were there to celebrate my birthday and my safe surgery. My kids all made a big effort to come and celebrate with me. Sorry but you have a beautiful cabin but bad service.

Perfect.
Absolute smashing experience. Our weekend could not have been more perfect. The coziness of Kay's Kabin cannot be overstated. Clean, well maintained, exceptional check in and out and very responsive managers. House rules were common sense and not onerous at all. We loved the fire pit and pond! Such a great place to relax. My wife and I came up with another couple and wanted to visit several towns and found Suches a great location to drive out to Dahlonega, Helen and Blue Ridge as well as a side trip to Ellijay. Coming back in the evening the cabin offered a wonderful respite from the day. Only negative was we couldn't stay longer.

The overall cabin did look like the pictures on Vrvo however when we arrived the cleaning crew was still there cleaning! Our check in time was 3:00pm and we arrived at 3:00pm we only had an hour to get ready for our daughter’s rehearsal dinner before we had to leave. We had to ask the cleaning crew to leave because we had ran out of time and needed to get ready they were very happy to leave and later came back while we were gone to clean and even left an apology letter! After our dinner we returned to the cabin and our lock code given to use didn’t work ! It was very dark and we didn’t had any cell service to call the owner! This resulted in me having to drive two miles up the road to get service so I could call! It took me about thirty minutes to get a response and new code, then two mile drive back to the cabin to try the code which did work but all of this took use an hour! After we got in and went to bed we couldn’t get any sleep due to the squeaky bed frames on ALL the beds! We did like the looks of the cabin however after all of the hassle we went through on a weekend that should have been a happy one we just wanted to come home as soon as possible!

Beautiful cabin in a perfect sitting!
Our family had a wonderful vacation in your cabin! It was centrally located between Dalonega and Helen! We walked so many waterfall trails, within less than an hour drive each day! Even walked a bit on the Appalachian Trail, which was a short walk away! The cabin itself is beautiful in the perfect sitting. We enjoyed the fireplace inside and the fire pit outside. The cabin was fully stocked and exactly as listed! We would definitely stay here again!!

We had a great time at the cabin. We had 2 people on motorcycles and the driveway was a little nerve wracking but it was raining which did not help. There was one little hiccup with the cabin but the owner responded right away and we could not have asked for more. Overall the cabin is quite lovely and we had very relaxing stay. I would 100% stay there again.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!
As part of our instructions to stay we were to clean after being charged a hefty cleaning fee. The linens were clean but the entire place smelled like dog. The beds were uncomfortable in ever room. The electrical wiring was faulty and the upstairs fan made noises. The bathrooms had mildew throughout the shower. There were issues with the hot water. The parking had a steep incline. The pond was not as pictured. Overall the experience was just "eh".

Well stocked with any items you may need. Plenty of extra linens and washer/dryer a plus. All other appliances upgraded and awesome crushed ice ! Nice to have Wifi in an area with no cell reception. Steep gravel Driveway can be tricky if it rains. Minor maintenance needs but nothing to interfere with overall stay. Thank you for sharing your cabin with us ! So much better than a hotel and would book again.
