Wonderful service!
The hotel is a good basis to.explore Sur and surroundings. There is a nice.swimmingpool and it is located next tp the beach/ sea (not good for swimming). What makes this hotel outstanding is the excellent service offered by its friendly people. Special thanks to Mr Hilal Al Balushi who made my stay in Oman unforgettable! I should also mention that they have a nice hotel in Ras Al Hadd, which is not listed on hotels.com.

Prijs kamer budget!
Hotel ligt aan een strand, waar je niet zo snel in zwemt. Zwembad is ok. Uitstraling van hotel is wat verouderd. Hotel was goedkoop, dus prima als je low budget wilt reizen. Ligt buiten het centrum van Sur.

Reasonable hotel, obviously recently refurbished, Priced ok. Rooms clean. Nice lobby. Location on the beach, outside of town. Food ok. Personnel not interested in providing service. Sur as city at night not very attractive with male persons hanging around.

The hotel is in bad state. The room windows looked unto a metal fence with people walking by (what would it take to landscape it?). The pool deck was in pretty bad shape and in parts covered up with plastic turf. What is offered does not match the fee charged

Das Zimmer war riesig mit einer kleinen Küche und Balkon zum Strand. Leider alles in einem eher desolaten Zustand, mal vom Bett abgesehen. Es gab weder einen Fön noch einen Wasserkocher um sich schnell einen Kaffee/Tee zu machen. Steckdosen sind auch Mangelware und haben nur britisches Format.Die Grünanlagen ziemlich verbrannt, der Pool macht keinen einladenden Eindruck und auch kein direkter Strandzugang (war verschlossen). Das Frühstücksbuffet war etwas enttäuschend. Wer indisches Frühstück mag, kommt aber auf seine Kosten. Als Kaffee gibt's nur löslichen Kaffee. Mit Kreditkarte konnte ich nicht bezahlen, angeblich sei die Maschine kaputt. Ich solle doch Geld aus dem Automaten ziehen. Nein, ich glaube ich werde dieses Hotel nicht erneut buchen. Schade eigentlich, denn die Anlage hätte Potential.

Für eine Übernachtung ok.aber nicht preiswert.
Abends angekommen, konnte man zuerst unsere Buchung nicht finden. Es war jedoch kein Problem uns gemäß Buchung ein Zimmer der besten Kategorie zu geben. Die Zahlung hatte sofort in bar zu erfolgen. Leider hatte das Zimmer incl. eines sehr kleinen Balkons nur ca 19 qm statt der in der Beschreibung genannten 25 qm was anhand der Fliesen leicht festzustellen war. Davon gehen dann noch ca 4 qm für den Badbereich ab.

The hotel was ok considering the price, but since the price was very low, so was the standard. Breakfast was good and there was a gym and pool area. Our room was situated on the wrong side of an one-way fire escape door- so to get to the lobby one had to go out on the street. Strange in my opinion.

Expensive for this kind of hotel. I wasn't able to sleep as you can hear from your room all the kids running in the corridor.. Very ugly pool and cheap hotel.

hotel modesto, ma nella città di sur non vi sono molte alternative di livello superiore la nostra camera (306) doveva avere la vista sulla spiaggia, ma in realtà la dista dava su un muro di cinta oltre in quale forse c'era la spiaggia... siamo arrivati la sera tardi e ripartiti il mattino seguente, quindi è andata bene cosi... colazione discreta

Nothing special about this place. The room was old and drab. We only stayed one night and didn’t use any of the outdoor facilities so can’t speak to that, but we were unimpressed with the room. The shower had barely any water pressure and spilled out onto the bathroom floor because there was no shower door. The rest of the night we had to wear our shoes because of how slippery the floor got.

We are satisfied overall with the hotel as we had only 1 night there. the check in staff were friendly and we were told one price for the breakfast. But when we had breakfast the next morning, the price was different and the person in charge in the Breakfast room was not friendly at all.

The hotel is nice, but needs some TLC. Our windows in the room were pretty grimy (from the sea?) and we had to request a kettle... then cups... then spoons for our room. The staff were nice and helpful though. The breakfast was pretty average. It’s a cheap and cheerful hotel that could do with a little updating.

This hotel does the job of being a base for tourists visits to Sur, the coast, turtles and wadis. But they really need to drop the words 'beach' and 'resort' from the name. The pool is tiny. That's the end of the resort. And the beach is a gravel and then seaweed coastline separated from the hotel by chicken-wire fence and a public footpath. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Food was fine with a good choice of breakfast items. Easy to access the hotel from the Muscat road.

Wonderful hotel. I loved it! For the price you get a hotel on the beach and can hear the waves at night. How on earth is this only a 3 star? Breakfast was wonderful with many choices. Can’t wait to return.

The pool area and garden was in poor condition, The green awning by the pool for shade was ripped and needs replacing badly. The bar was terrible as it was a full on smoking bar and smelt of cigarette smoke the moment you entered. The non smoking area in the bar was tiny and a joke. They need to change that and make a nice bar for non smokers.

The room was clean, simple, and comfortable but a bit dated (physical keys are still used!). The bathroom seemed to be renovated though with a big tub. We had a beach view with a small balcony, but the beach is not very nice with lots of seaweed and some trash visible during low tide. The onsite restaurant was ok/a little bland and overpriced for what you get. There are not very many dining options and no tourist sites within walking distance. Overall, it fit our needs for two nights in Sur.

Rather run-down overpriced hotel with seaview
We had an apartment with two bedrooms outside the main building. The hotel makes a rather run-down impression. The apartment was clean, but also slightly shabby - especially the living room. The bathroom was ok. Stay away from the bar - it is a smoky drinking hole (use the room service instead if you are up for a drink). It is okay to stay here for one night, but you definitely pay too much for what you get. The Resort Sur Beach Holiday was (except for the breakfast) the most disappointing accommodation on our 9 day Oman round trip.

Very Friendly staff, clean rooms. We had two rooms annexed with a lounge which was good value and suited our family needs, sea view. However, the rooms are dated and in much need of makeover. These rooms were not in the main hotel but in an annexe further down on the hotel site, they did suffer from road noise as no soundproofing. Comfortable, wifi and international television, water provided. Breakfast was good choice. Expect that the rooms in the main hotel building may have improved our experience. BBQ buffet on both nights which was the only option provided for dinner in the restaurant,

L’hotel é vecchio e corrisponde alla descrizione Expedia, dunque nessuna sorpresa. Il problema é la spiaggia che non esiste. Quando c’é bassa marea si crea un fondo duro e scivoloso pieno di alghe che é praticamente impossibile attraversare. Con l’alta marea resta una spiaggia con cumuli di pietre che me rendono impossibile il normale uso. Noi siamo arrivati nel pomeriggio, dovevamo restare due notti ma siamo andati via in anticipo motivando la nostra decisione con il fatto che la realtá (che documento con foto) non corrisponde a quanto scritto e mostrato in foto da Expedia. Il personale dell’hotel ha accettato il fatto di restituirmi I soldi della seconda notte avendo pagato due notti al momento dell’arrivo. Spero che il nonifico mi arrivi cosí come promesso. In caso contrario chiederó il rimborso ad Expedia perché quanto scritto e riportato sottoforma di immagini non corrisponde alla realtá da me riscontrata sul posto. Questo non é un albergo dove trascorrere alcuni giorni al mare godendo della spiaggia perché una vera spiaggia non c’é.

On the Beach
We wanted to be on the beach - and we were! The waves of the Arabian Gulf lapping on the shore just 25 metres from our bedroom window. A nice, friendly place in the Arabic style. Great chicken tikka masala for dinner. And a greatv place to base yourself to visit the surrounding area.

Pas top... La chambre était vieillotte, peu confortable. Les photos affichées en ligne ne correspondent pas à ce que nous avons eu. Quelqu'un est venu à 8h30 du matin frapper à toutes les portes (sans jamais qu'on ne sache pourquoi...). Une alarme (type sonnerie d'école) résonnait régulièrement dans le couloir. La piscine est de taille correcte mais pas chauffée donc forte chaleur extérieure nécessaire pour se baigner. L'hôtel donne cependant directement sur la plage ! Le peu d'équipement de la salle de sport est très usé. Un peu loin du centre-ville, voiture nécessaire. Trop cher pour ce que c'est (et encore, le prix affiché sur Hotels.com est avantageux comparé au prix que propose l'hôtel en direct).

It is a nice place right next to the water. It is a bit dated. Also, if you book a standard room, the bed is a little small for 2 people. Make sure to get an ocean view.

Very nice place to stay.
The staff were very friendly & helpful, and the hotel was right on the beach. The street-side neighborhood has seen better days, and Sur’s activity areas are too far to walk. If I come to Sur again, I will survey choices for more convenient lodging, but I would certainly include Sur Beach Holiday for consideration.

Nice Hotel on the Beach
Sur Beach Holiday is a little worn, but still comfortable. It is a good place to stay in an area with limited options - although there appear to be more and more new places to stay popping up in and around Sur. The staff were excellent, helped us with recommendations, and the dinner we had at the Turkish fish restaurant on the water one town over was perfect. The rooms have balconies overlooking the beach - although be prepared for mosquitoes. Make sure to order the complimentary fruit basket when you arrive. It was also my birthday, and the staff brought me a very large birthday cake! Expedia bookings do not come with breakfast included in the rate.

The food was good from the hotel. (Seafood platter) I loved the complementary fruit basket and water bottles. Beautiful ocean view room. We could sleep with peaceful wave sounds. It was abit annoyed when other people closes their room door. Great service by hotel staffs. Hard to find the good food nearby the hotel.

Cet hôtel est une mauvaise surprise entre le moment où l'on émet la réservation et l'arrivée et surtout au regard du prix de la chambre. C'est un hôtel ancien, pas de pommeau de douche dans la salle de bain sol trempé après avoir pris une douche (seulement un rideau de douche) Chambre très petite et accolée aux chambres voisines. restaurant peu recommandable L'accueil fut très bon à l'exception de notre départ puisque nous avons eu un soucis lors de la dernière nuit : impossible de dormir car les clients de la chambre voisine sont venus faire la fête : musique à fond, odeur de fumée dans notre chambre, cris, chants de 00h à 4h du matin. Nous avons prévenu la réception plusieurs fois mais sans succès, les membres de l'équipe hôtelière ne sont pas intervenus malgré nos multiples remarques. Lors de notre départ le manager n'est même pas venu nous voir malgré notre mécontentement jusqu'au moment où nous allions partir nous proposant seulement de nous offrir le petit déjeuner assez bas de gamme soit dit en passant.
