  • Bring the whole family to this beautifully renovated and super charming 3-bedroom, 2-bath home.

    Please Note: while we have some games, there is NO game room. This is a glitch in the VRBO system they are working on repairing it from their end.

    Great location! Conveniently located off the same exit as JBLM (Joint Base Lewis-McChord) Logistics Center. Walking distance to Harry Todd Park and just minutes from gas stations, restaurants, and Starbucks.

    The Space
    Main Level: Two bedrooms featuring one king bed and two twin beds, along with a bathroom on the main floor.
    Upstairs: Spacious primary suite with a king bed, full bathroom, and a designated workspace.
    Basement: Fully finished (no creepy vibes!) with sleek glitter epoxy floors and a dedicated laundry facility.

    Guest Access
    The home is equipped with a smart lock. Your door code will be sent at 1 PM on the day of check-in.

    Other Things to Note
    Enjoy a HUGE fully fenced yard. While I’m a dog lover myself, this property is pet free. Please note, due to recent sewer line work, the grass is still growing back. Parking is available in front of the garage in the back, with home access through the back door.

We had a wonderful stay at Lakewood Stunner. This beautifully decorated home was very clean and spacious, the beds were comfortable, and check in went smoothly. Amazing home

This was an amazing home to stay at! The property manager was amazing to communicate with and even gifted us a lovely treat on thanksgiving! One of the best experiences we have had and will definitely visit again.

Cute house/ awesome host

Annie was an absolute gem to work with and her house is darling! Clean, comfortable, convenient.. we will definitely stay here again if ever we're in Tacoma, hopefully we can hang out with Annie :)

Property was clean and fresh new updates made the stay good. Only negative is you are asked to leave the outdoor lights on however there are no black out curtains, which made it tough to sleep.Property owner was very responsive during the stay.

DO NOT STAY HEREMy adult daughter and I booked a week at this VRBO and it was far from what the listing promised. The house is not in a safe part of town, and when we arrived, we were greeted by a run-down chain link fence, an entry door covered in spiders and spider webs and a musty smell upon entry.The house was warm so I found the thermostat, only to discover the property does NOT have central air conditioning. There are two portable air conditioners, with the downstairs unit only rated for one room and unable to throw cool air into the adjacent bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, or rear nook/bedroom area. Even worse, the downstairs portable unit needed to exhaust out a window. The area this VRBO is in did not feel safe, and the idea of trying to sleep with an unsecured window on the first floor made us extremely uncomfortable. So uncomfortable, we left the property and booked a last-minute hotel room just to be able to sleep safely. The house was not clean, with multiple spiders, beetles, and house flies throughout. Visible dirt and a collection of nasty used sponges in the sink were a disgusting find.I contacted VRBO about a refund since the listing was inaccurate. VRBO indicated that the property owner refused to agree to a refund. I assumed that booking through VRBO would give us a measure of protection in an instance where the property is not what is promised, however that is not true. I found out the hard way we were at the mercy of the owner. An owner who does not care

Lots of room but no locks

Lots of sleeping options at this property. However the upstairs loft is open. There is no door or privacy. The “master” bedroom downstairs has a door, but no lock. And the room is connected to the bathroom, which has a sliding farm door. The main door to the bathroom doesn’t lock. The additional bedroom with 2 twin beds, doesn’t have a door, just a curtain. Upon our arrival, the host hadn’t sent check in codes yet. When I reached out she was very quick to send the code, but then called me back to let me know she would be coming to the property to remove items from the garage during our stay. She then said she was going to be renting out the converted garage as a long term rental, and that the tenants would be on the property moving things in during our stay. When I messaged a question of a timeframe when this would be happening, the host was quick to call and let me know that she is the owner of the home and has the right to be on her property at any time. The house was clean and well decorated, but the owner’s tone and demeanor was uncomfortable. Also lots of notes and rules posted around the house to follow. Most of the rules are understandable, but it didn’t make the stay feel very welcoming. The one rule about having to keep the porch light on at all times was challenging as the light shines into the adjacent bedroom all night. With only a thin curtain in that room, blackout curtains would be better if keeping the light on all night is a requirement.

The VRBO website wasn't responsive to me changing my email, so I didn't get the instructions for check in, except for the address. The neighborhood is very quiet, the lake is two blocks away and was lovely and the kids seemed to enjoy it, but it is mixed, with a few run down houses on the way to the lake. However, the inside of the house was wonderful. The mattresses were good, and it was very clean. It could use another towel rack in the bath downstairs. Bath towels were hung on the shower curtain bar. With three of us on that floor, just hand towels could be hung. Many people had left oatmeal and cleaning supplies, so we didn't need to buy any of those. All the appliances were new and everything worked well. One of the fans needed a new knob, but we managed to turn it down without the knob. The host responded quickly when we had trouble checking in. It was a great experience overall.
