Great little cabin outside of Talkeetna
The cabin was exactly as seen in the pictures, a small little cabin with everything you need for a night away. I wasn't expecting the other cabins and the owners house to be so close, I was hoping for a little more space but otherwise everything was as expected. We enjoyed the cabin very much.

Quiet setting, host was very accommodating. 10 minutes out from Talkeetna. I would recommend, for those who are agile enough to climb the ladder to loft.

We are Alaskans and we were grateful that we stayed at this pet-friendly truly Alaskan cabin w/ amenities. The owner met and exceeded our expectations in the cabin’s cleanliness, accessibility and sustainability. Next time we know we need a station stop between Alaska’s largest communities, we will book again.

Wonderful host
Kurt was the best host that we had. He greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had all we needed. He gave us a piece of his freshly caught salmon, excellent advice on where to go, and was kind and curious throughout our stay. The cabin was comfy and fun to stay in.

What a great find. This traditional Alaska cabin is a gem and the owner is a wealth of Alaska and Talkeetna information. To get to the site, just simply follow the owners directions. You can’t miss the property! Glad I had it for two nights.

This cabin is even better in person than the pictures show. It was clean, cozy, quiet, and perfect. My dog and I had a great stay and hope to revisit next time we are in Talkeetna.

Charming cabin and very Alaskan! Curt met us and checked us in as well as a visit in the morning to see how everything went. He accommodated us so generously with our family and dogs. 10 minute drive to town, nice bike paths close by.

Great stay here and the host Curt was so welcoming and friendly. My husband and I enjoyed his stories and his cabins are very well kept and maintained. Everything was clean and we were glad to have the luxury of an indoor composting toilet. The upstairs loft bed was very comfortable and the bed linens were luxurious. There were also lots of fun goodies to eat and a refrigerator, microwave and k-cup coffee maker with coffee. We will stay here again.

Super comfy little cabin tucked away near Talkeetna. Curt was super responsive and accommodating to my question before booking and met us upon arrival. The cabin was as advertised and even had a few movies and games for the kiddos. We had to leave early due to an unforeseen circumstance but really enjoyed the time we spent there.

When we received a text that Curt had upgraded us we hadn't been there yet and upon arriving found a large homey cabin. We were happy as the rain that came that night and the whole next day meant the extra room was handy as we had an early Zip Lining. Sadly we never met Curt but even when not there we had a great time. Thanks

This was a cute place to stay with good views (unfortunately it was cloudy and rained during our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the views). The place was clean and well stocked with adequate instructions. Because of the roads it took about an hour to get to Anchorage from the property. It would’ve been nice to have this information.

Cozy Dog-Friendly Cabin
We enjoyed our three nights in Curt’s cozy cabin near Talkeetna. Curt greeted us on arrival and had some great suggestions of things to do in the area. The cabin was clean and exceeded our expectations for a rustic dry cabin. The loft bed was comfy, but the ladder was a bit of a challenge the first night due to recent knee surgery. However, the futon on the main level worked great for me the other nights and Curt provided plenty of warm bedding. The town of Talkeetna has grown since we were last there and was great fun with live music, cute shops, and good food! Overall a memorable weekend getaway from Anchorage. PS: Curt will suggest you watch the DVDs “Alone in the Wilderness” he has in the cabin. Do it…you won’t regret!

Perfect.
This little cabin is great. Perfect for my family of three. Curt is an amazing host. My daughter enjoyed playing fetch with Curt's little puppy. When laying in bed, if you leave the windows open, there is no sounds of heavy traffic. Just enjoy the sounds of birds chirping. Thank you for opening your little cabin to us.

Perfect for us
We had everything we needed and Curt was very helpful and hospitable. Stayed in this cabin with one other couple and it was definitely cozy with four people but we are used to motorhomes and tents, so this was a step up! The property is beautiful with a huge greenhouse and a few other cabins. We had an awesome time.

Great place off the main road with comfortable furnishings (great couch and comfy bed) plus lots of extras (new blanket, hot drinks, Smores ingredients). Heater and compostable toilet both worked without a hitch. Saw a moose on our way in!

This is a super cute and cozy cabin with a lot of character! It is fully furnished with coffee maker, snacks, an outside grill, dishes, etc. The retro fridge and microwave are a nice touch. The bedroom is in the loft - make sure you are capable of climbing a ladder. We slept great! It was an absolute pleasure to spend some time with the owner, Curt. He was very generous with his time and chatted with us answering all our questions. The cabin is is less then 10 miles from Talkeetna center (quirky cool little town with bunch of restaurants). The only thing I think could be improved is the cleanliness of the bathroom. The cabin has a composting toilet - we didn't mind the system at all but I wished the toilet itself was a little cleaner. The rest of the cabin was spotless. Still 5/5 ranking, we would stay there again.

Peaceful Getaway Cabin
This was an amazing cabin; so comfortable and homey. Spent three days and two night in Talkeetna area, booked the cabin last minute and did not know what to expect. We had a dog with us so our options were limited. Curt's cabin was perfect. Small sitting area with futon that can sleep two people. He had a dog bed for our pup. The cabin had an upstairs with a queen bed. Heat rises so the upstirs was warm and comfortable for sleeping. Small dinette with microwave, hot pot, coffee maker, hot plate, refrigerator, water supplied, bbq outside, and plates and utensils. He supplied oatmeal for breakfast, we wanted to support the local shops so we went to several of the café and bakeries in town for takeout. A TV with DVD's were provided along with reading materials and several games. Curt provided excellent directions for arrival. Met us shortly after we arrived to greet us and check in. There are several cabins within eyesight of this cabin however the area is extremely peaceful and we did not hear anything from the other cabins. There are several steps up into the cabin and to sleep upstairs you have to climb a ladder. The futon is downstairs. My group thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would definitely come back anytime we stay in Talkeetna.

My girlfriend and I had an excellent stay at this great little cabin. It was very warm and cozy despite being very cold out. It was very comfortable, had everything we needed, and was conveniently located close to Talkeetna.

Gorgeous clean away from "the city"
The cabin was exactly as described and shown in photos (refreshing!). Curt was available at another location on the property if we had needed any assistance. VERY courteous, inviting, knowledgeable of the area. I stayed with my 8 year old son, plenty of room, he loved the Star Wars fire pit and stairs to the (huge for a cabin) loft. Close enough to enjoy the town without being "stuck" near hevay tourist traffic. We will DEFINITELY stay here again, and for a longer stay simply to enjoy the property 😊
