Het herenhuis is een van de zeer speciale, zeldzame en typisch Siciliaanse herenhuizen in het "hart" van de oude binnenstad van Taormina. De positie is absoluut centraal en alles kan binnen een zeer korte wandeling worden bereikt. Perfect voor een vakantie zonder auto.

Het herenhuis is gelegen in een bevoorrechte en centrische positie van het historische centrum van Taormina, op slechts 1 lopen minuut afstand van de "Corso Umberto", dat is de belangrijkste winkelstraat en restaurant, de Piazza IX Aprile, de Villa Comunale en de Griekse Theater.

Dus alle sites, monumenten, restaurants, bars en nacht leven kan worden bereikt binnen een paar stappen.

Tegen betaling parkeren is mogelijk in een openbare parkeergarage vlakbij (op 200 meter afstand).

Het huis strekt zich uit over 4 verdiepingen en biedt een klein dakterras met een spectaculair uitzicht op de pittoreske stad Taormina, de Griekse theater en de Etna.

Elke kamer is ingericht met veel zorg en liefde voor details. De inrichting is compleet en van hoge standaard. Alle kamers zijn voorzien van airconditioning.

Tijd doorbrengen in de woonkamer op de 4 e verdieping of op het kleine dakterras is bijzondere ervaring. Vanaf hier kunt u genieten van een fantastisch uitzicht over de daken en de kleine straten van Taormina. De zonsondergang boven de vulkaan Etna is een onvergetelijke ervaring.

De uitrusting en inrichting komen tot hoge verwachtingen op kwaliteit en smaak. De apparatuur is een mix van modern Italiaans design en antieke Franse en Siciliaanse meubels. De smaakvolle kamer design wordt onderstreept door een speciale selectie van de kunst foto's en lampen gemaakt van echt Murano glas.

Alle kamers zijn uitgerust met een efficiënte airconditioning systeem biedt aangenaam koele temperatuur in de zomer en behaaglijke warmte in de winter.

De bevoorrechte situatie en de speciale apparatuur van deze accommodatie nodigt u uit om te ervaren en te genieten van Taormina op een unieke manier.

In 2015 was dit gebouw volledig gerenoveerd en gemoderniseerd. De vloeren en trappen op het interieur zijn gerestaureerd in de typische Siciliaanse rood-bruin marmer.

Kinderen worden echter op prijs gesteld. Houd er rekening mee dat het huis trappen heeft.

1e verdieping: romantische slaapkamer, kingsize bed, Frans balkon, ensuite badkamer met douche en toilet.

2e verdieping: eetkamer voor 6 personen met kitchenette.

2e verdieping: aparte marmeren badkamer van hoge kwaliteit, ligbad, toilet, bidet, raam, wasmachine.

3e verdieping: elegante slaapkamer met kingsize bed, balkon (uitzicht op de Etna), badkamer met badkuip, douche, toilet, bidet, raam.

4e verdieping: prachtige woonkamer met Siciliaanse tegels en grote panoramische ramen en balkons met uitzicht op het oude centrum van Taormina, Madonna di Rocca en zijaanzicht op de Etna.

De twee banken van de woonkamer (80 cm x 230 cm) kunnen krijgen omgebouwd tot twee comfortabele eenpersoons slaapbanken

De badkamers zijn ontworpen heldere Botticino marmer of met de hand beschilderde tegels Siciliaanse terwijl de vloer is bedekt met de typische donkerbruine "Marmo di Taormina".

PARKING

Betaald openbaar parkeren is mogelijk dichtbij (200 meter, tegen betaling en op dagelijkse beschikbaarheid). Als alternatief kan men zijn auto op de openbare parkeerplaats bij Porta Messina / Porta Pasquale (10 minuten lopen, ten laste en op dagelijkse basis van beschikbaarheid).


GEBRUIK VAN zwembad en het strand

In samenwerking met de Paradise Beach Club onze gasten hebben de mogelijkheid om te verblijven in het Paradise Beach Club. De extra kosten per dag, afhankelijk van het seizoen (10 € - 15 € voor volwassenen, € 5,00 - € 8,00 kind tussen de 3 tot 10 jaar) en is inclusief toegang tot het strand, ligstoel, paraplu, het gebruik van het zwembad, douche, gratis WiFi en een pendelbus.

De Paradise Beach Club is een van de beste lido van Taormina, het aanbieden van een compleet strand service, een uitstekend restaurant aan het strand, een strand zwembad en een heel bijzondere kleine mediterrane park om te ontspannen en afkoelen in de hete middagzon.

Als de stad is gelegen in het historische centrum van Taormina, hun shuttle bus (gratis) krijgt u de Paradise Beach Club. De bushalte ligt op slechts 100 meter afstand van ons huis. Het duurt ongeveer 15 minuten met de bus te bereiken vanaf het centrum naar de Paradise Beach Club.

Het zwembad en het strand club is geopend van 1 juni tot 31 oktober. Houd er rekening mee dat het gebruik van het strand club en het zwembad niet is inbegrepen in onze huurprijs en moet rechtstreeks naar de Paradise Beach Club worden betaald.

BUURT

Het gedeelte van het herenhuis bevindt zich in de meest centrale en antieke wijk van Taormina. Het is het echte hart van Taormina en het beste gebied om te verblijven. De huizen van de wijk, de kleine winkels en diverse ateliers van lokale kunstenaars leiden tot een zeer bijzondere geest.

De beste restaurants van Taormina zijn net om de hoek.

De famos park van Taormina "Giardini Pubblici" ook wel "Villa Comunale" is net om de hoek en nodigt uit om te ontspannen in een zeer bijzondere 'groene mediterraan park "met een prachtig uitzicht op de Etna en de baai van Giardini Naxos.

In de zomer diverse klassieke concerten en jazz-sessies worden gehouden in dit park en zijn een geweldige verrijking voor degenen feestdagen.

In deze wijk gaat men niet als een toerist, maar als native Siciliaanse.

Alle bezienswaardigheden en bars, restaurants en winkels liggen op korte loopafstand.

Het taxistation, de gondel naar de zee en het busstation zijn ook binnen een korte loopafstand bereikbaar.

Alle kerken van Taormina zijn heel dichtbij (op korte loopafstand) en zijn binnen een zeer korte loopafstand bereikbaar, zodat de ligging van het huis perfect is voor bruiloften.

Verblijvend midden in het centrum Taormina

Top locatie.Zo gezellig uit de woning midden in de winkels en restaurants.Alleen voor wat oudere mensen is sjouwen met zware koffers naar 4 hoog is niet handig.We hebben de woonkamer in de topetage bijna niet gebruikt.Na een dag door de stad lopen is thuis trap op trap af voor elke wissewasjes wel erg vermoeiend.Voor de rest hebben we genoten van ons verblijf en de woning ziet er prima uit.

This is the perfect property if you want to stay in the heart of Taormina! Not only is it conveniently located, it is also clean and well furnished. Our family of 6 loved our stay. The charm of being right in town a minute from BamBam granita next-door to an inclusive little market for every day needs We could see a view of Mount Etna from the terrace Air conditioning was greatly appreciated. Everyone in our family of six was able to sleep comfortably. The bathrooms were great responsive hosts able to set up transportation upon arrival and departure and restaurant recommendations. Perfect Location

We loved our stay in Taormina! The property is in a perfect location and the management team always responded quickly with any questions. Step outside to numerous restaurants and shops. Although we had to get use to the steps to the 5th floor living area, the view of Mt. Etnea is wonderful! A perfect vacation spot.

Taormina Central - close to everything

We were 6 adults (2 parents with adult children and their spouses) - perfect location for restaurants, shopping, close to car park, close to Greek theatre, park (Villa Communale) This house is beautifully decorated and well equipped (lots of hangers and even a hair dryer). Mike is very responsive, Chiara super helpful at check-in and also arranging drivers. We had a car, but did not use it - walked everywhere (to top of hill and down to Isola Bella). As commented by other reviewers, stairs in this house not suitable for young children or those with mobility issues. Would highly recommend this property.

Location! Location! Location! This is it!

The villa was very clean and we loved that everyone had their own en suite bathroom. Best part was that you could walk out the door and be a five minute or less walk from everywhere! Beautiful churches, roman ruins, fabulous shopping, great bistros, balcony has beautiful views. I would definitely recommend this place and go there again!

Excellent communication with the host. The location is also excellent. There is a room in each floor, not appropriate for children and the elderly. For young people is a good choice. We had a pleasant stay. I recommend it.

This is one of the best places I have ever stayed in my travels to Italy. It’s a beautiful place with wonderful accommodations. The apartment is in the best location to all restaurants, shopping and sites. The recommendations from the Mike and Chiara to eat were fantastic. They arranged transportation as well. Taormina at its Best

This property was the perfect spot for myself, my husband, our 16 year old daughter, and my 79 year old mother in law to visit Taormina! It is located in the heart of the city. We walked everywhere. We didn't need a car at all. There were markets and many fantastic restaurants easily within walking distance. Our host, Mike, sent a very detailed welcome packet so we already had an excursion to Mt Etna booked before we arrived. Mike gave wonderful recommendations for wineries and restaurants. He couldn't have been more helpful. He told us how to set up a driver from the airport and had a wonderful young lady named Chiara meet us at the apartment. She was a wealth of knowledge about the apartment and even had some recommendations of her own. The apartment itself was fantastic for us. We each had our own bedroom and the common room upstairs was great for being together in the evening. The views of Mt Etna from that room and the roof never get old! The stairs between the floors are not difficult. I was concerned about them because of my mother in law's age. Mike was very honest and helpful in describing them. He was 100% correct and the stairs weren't an issue at all. It was a beautiful trip made more beautiful by having a fantastic location and an apartment that truly felt like home!

Perfect stay - most accommodating

Our host, Chiara, was so available, helpful and lovely. She met us at a point and guided us through the streets to the parking garage. She supplied useful information and was available to answer any questions that we had. Absolutely fantastic. The apartment is in the best location imaginable. Our favorite restaurant, granita bar and arancini were footsteps outside the door. Despite the central location, it is quiet. It is comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The balconies give the most spectacular views and we enjoyed them even in December. We hope to return on our next visit to Taormina.

Great location and comfortable apartment

The apartment worked out great for the four of us. The location is perfect making it easy to explore Taormina. The apartment was clean, everything worked but there could have been a few more drinking/ wine glasses. The description was very clear that this is a vertical layout with many steps, so be aware of the necessity to be ok with the steps. We would defiantly stay there again and we recommend it to others.

The property could not be in a better location. Property was clean and check in process was great It is five floors walk up with bedrooms on 0,1,3. Kitchen on 2, living room on four and terrace on five. Having a washer was a plus Mount etna was active during our stay and it was cool to see the red lava flow from the terrace at night. Large luggage or physically challenged may have difficulty with the stairs.. We had an amazing trip and stay

Sicilian Highrise in Ideal Location

Three couples stayed at this Taormina apartment in March. As previously mentioned, the apartment is in a great location for both restaurants and shopping. Roberto communicated with me in a timely and professional manner and any questions asked were answered. The welcome package information from Michael was very informative. Upon arriving and being lost, Roberto met us and led us to the parking garage, which was within walking distance of the apartment. Due to the weather, we were unable to enjoy the Beach Club or the upstairs deck, which did have incredible views. Our dinner at the Red & White Restaurant, as Roberto recommended was wonderful, as were several other restaurants we found on our own. The stairs were numerous (one person had mobility issues that were not present when booked 2 years ago), but we made it. Bathrooms were small (one person at a time) but bedrooms were nicely decorated and had ample space. Washing machine was a plus. Kitchen was disappointing in size of refrigerator and dishwasher, but doable. I failed to notice this in the VRBO explanation and reviews. The newly installed heaters/air-conditioning units were not working properly, but Roberto had someone come in to look at them. Read all the previous reviews, as they all have something important to add. I would say that this Sicilian type house, with these narrow staircases are not conducive to all travelers, but it is noted on the explanation and reviews and must be decided by the traveler.

Gem in Taormina!

First, I would like to say Roberto was very hospitable and responded VERY quickly to all my communications. He is a delightful young man. It might be helpful to receive a little more information upon check-in regarding all the wall switches which not only operate the lights, but the buzzer to the front door to let people in, as well as the water heater and air conditioner. The townhouse is beautifully decorated. It is basically one room on each floor with a narrow marble staircase connecting the rooms (Note: large suitcases are difficult to manage up the staircase). The kitchen is more of a dining room than a kitchen as there is only a cooktop, mini-refrigerator and sink (no microwave). This was not a problem for us since there are so many wonderful restaurants literally outside the front door. The bedrooms were very comfortable and the bathrooms were well equipped. The townhouse is located in the heart of Taormina (the neighborhood is very quiet at night) and is within walking distance to many of the town's historic sites. I would definitely return to this townhouse again, though I would bring carry-on size suitcases next time. Thank you for a wonder stay!

Spacious 3 bed apartment in central Taormina. No better location!

Thoroughly recommend this property in a fantastic location in central Taormina. For sure there are plenty of stairs in the property but the roof garden & lounge make it worth while climbing them. Loved being able to step outside & grab an espresso & granita at the Bam Bar and being in the centre of town. Roberto was on hand to help make it a great stay, he is simply the best person I’ve had the pleasure of dealing with whilst renting properties. Recommended.

Location location location!

Charming townhouse, perfectly located, personalized assistance with everything including transfers and tours, restaurant recommendations, and access to private beach club! Lots of stairs to climb so just don’t forget what you need on your way in or out. A not so hidden gem!

Taormina terrific!

This property is in a great location, has nice king-sized beds, an air conditioner, and a bath and shower in each of the three bedrooms. The apartment has a lot of stairs, but it made it feel uniquely Sicilian, as did the rooftop deck from which you can see Mt. Etna, Castello Saraceno, and even a little of the Greek Theatre. Good Wi-Fi as well, which the kids liked. Roberto was extremely responsive when we called with questions. They recommended dinner at the Red & White Restaurant (just steps from the front door) and it was the best meal we have enjoyed in Italy. I would stay here again.

Perfect Stay

The house is beautiful and in a central location in the old town, close to restaurants, cafes and shops. Views across the bay from the piazzas are fantastic too. Great to have the beach club which we used three days out of five. Locals really friendly and food great everywhere if a little pricy. But there are reasonable places too. Roberto was really welcoming, friendly and helpful when we arrived and during our stay. Couldn’t have been better.

Wonderful Experience!

3 Couples stayed here for 5 nights. We were all very happy with our accommodation. It was right in the middle of town and did not at all disappoint us! The property manager Roberto was fabulous and punctual and always willing to help us. We had difficulty making our final payment because of technical difficulties and the owner was most accommodating! I would not hesitate to stay there again, if the occasion should ever arise!
