**We’d love for you to come and stay in our Deer Chase home in Angel Fire, New Mexico! Deer Chase is a beautiful luxury mountain home ideal for creating family memories. We think you’ll prefer our home over others - our thoughtful layout for hosting multiple families along with our excellent level of service will delight you. We include so many extras that other owners and property managers don’t even think about doing or can't do because of their size. We've remodeled the entire home. You’ll find beautiful new flooring throughout, new furniture, new beds and bedding, paint, rugs, fixtures, arcade games and so much more. The home will feel fresh and new, and is kept very clean and up to date. It is unlike other rental houses that tend to have decades old furniture.
**We ourselves have been VRBO guests in many places, and have created the kind of home we love to stay in. Our kitchen is stocked with every cooking utensil, appliance and spice you need to create fantastic meals, as well as kitchen soap and dishwasher soap. We include a plentiful starter quantity of coffee grounds and fixings so you can brew several fresh cups as soon as you arrive. Courtesy hair dryers are provided so you don’t have to pack them. Bathrooms have courtesy shampoo/conditioner/body wash ready for you in every shower. We provide backup linens and plentiful fresh towels. We include upgraded high speed internet/WIFI so that multiple devices can stream simultaneously. In addition, Barb is our local vacation rental manager who knows the area extremely well and can answer questions and is nearby to help with any issues should they arise.
**Our Deer Chase home is right in the middle of everything Angel Fire has to offer (located just off the Angel Fire Golf Course near holes 5 and 6), and sits on 2 lots which have retained the peaceful seclusion of a private wood off the back deck, with views of Wheeler Peak. The home is within walking distance to the Golf Course (mere steps), Tennis courts, Olympic Park, Sledding Hill, and Country Club (1.5mi), and just 6 minutes to the grocery store and 8 minutes to the ski lift. Elk & Deer graze regularly through our property and love taking naps in our backyard under the trees.
**The home sleeps up to 15, which is ideal for 3-4 families. 3 of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms (one of which has pocket-door access and includes access via the hallway as well), plus a semi-private loft and a lower-level family retreat. There are 2 master suites, one on the main level and one on the second story. If you have a family member that struggles with stairs our home can work well, as there are only 3 steps from the garage to the main level, which includes 2 of the bedrooms/bathrooms, the kitchen, dining, living and deck.
**We provide the backdrop for creating great family memories during your mountain getaway, such as an expansive deck with Adirondack loungers, traditional loungers, bench swing, hammocks, and two dining ensembles where you can enjoy morning coffee or evening happy hour and watch the wildlife. An outdoor fire pit table lets you bask in the warmth of a cozy fire on a chilly night with the turn of a button. Below the deck are playground-style swings for kids and even a bucket swing for toddlers. A perfect home layout with dining, kitchen, living and deck all on the same level to easily connect and socialize. A lower-level family retreat with arcade games, ping-pong, arts & crafts table, giant chalk boards, board games & large sectional sofa with 65” smart tv, so everyone has the space to play and enjoy the vacation. Access to the Angel Fire trail system is just steps away, from which you can walk/hike all around Angel Fire.

BEDROOMS/SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS:
MAIN FLOOR: There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor (one master, one secondary bedroom) so it's perfect for families traveling together or with parents who don't want to climb stairs to get to their bedroom. Each bedroom on the main level has an ensuite bathroom. One of the bathrooms also has hallway access for other guests. The master bedroom has a queen bed, and the secondary bedroom has a queen bed and a fold-out twin futon that works great for smaller children.
SECOND FLOOR: On the second floor is another master bedroom with a king size Casper memory foam mattress, separate extra-large jetted tub and shower with private commode. The second floor also has a large loft with two queen size murphy beds. The loft is open to the stairs and hallway connecting the master bedroom. A family of 4-6 can easily have the entire upstairs to themselves.
LOWER LEVEL: The lower level is a large family retreat with a queen size bed, desk with USB charging station, electronic leather reading recliner and cabin-style twin bunk beds. This family retreat also includes a secondary living room with 65” smart tv, arcade games, coloring/craft and gaming area.
LIVING AREAS:
The main floor has a luxurious living room with an enormous wall of windows overlooking the pines and Wheeler Peak. The 15 foot long custom leather sectional can fit the whole family, along with an 8 foot long coffee table to hold all the drinks and snacks for watching movies and shows on the 75” smart tv. The living room is part of a great room area connected to the kitchen and dining room. The wood-burning fireplace keeps everyone cozy, with a plentiful stock of chopped wood just outside the lower level.
The lower level is a huge (1600 square foot) game room and family retreat, where families can gather to play games, play cards, get creative or watch tv – all provided for you. This game room includes a large new sectional sofa and 65” smart tv, a custom ping pong table, arcade-style basketball game, nostalgic new pac-man multi-game arcade, a giant chalkboard with colored chalk, reading nook, arts & crafts tables, crayons, colored pencils, coloring books and cabinets full of card games, board games and graphic novels for kids.
KITCHEN/DINING
Creating and eating meals together is another way to create great family memories and the Deer Chase home provides everything you need. Our kitchen features a microwave oven, traditional oven, additional oven with range cooktop, toaster oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, coffee makers (regular and single serve), Ninja blender, pancake griddle, Kitchenaid mixer, Crock Pot, Instant Pot, handheld mixer, food processor, colanders, salad spinner, cheese graters, full knife set and pretty much every kitchen utensil you can think of. All plates, glassware, baking/cookware, pots, pans, and utensils are provided. In addition, we have a full set of spices to get you started. On the back deck is a new Weber gas grill that heats food evenly so you can grill to perfection.
For dining, there is a dining room table that seats up to 8, with an additional roll out table with folding chairs that will seat an additional 4-6. We also have two outdoor dining tables (seating 6 & 4), and the 8-foot-long coffee table works great as a makeshift dining area as well.
OUTDOORS:
Relax on the back deck while watching the kids play. It’s so nice to watch kids explore nature in our huge yard – and in the summers here where the temperature is in the 70s, kids can swing and play outside all day long. Walk down to the Olympic park for an even bigger playground, or grab the tennis rackets and balls for a game of tennis on the courts. In the winter the yard is perfect for making snowmen and having snowball fights. In addition to sledding/skiing at the resort, the nearby Nordic center has a HUGE hill for sledding.
The Angel Fire hiking trail system is just a few steps away and is great for family walks You can walk to the grocery store (2.5mi) and walk all around Angel Fire from these trails.
LAUNDRY ROOM/MUD ROOM
Entering the house from the garage you go right into our mud room/laundry room. It has ample hooks for coats and rubber mats for boots. We have a front load washer and dryer. There is another area inside the front door with hooks for coats so everyone can spread out.
PARKING/GARAGE:
When you get to the house, we have an easy FLAT driveway and a garage with enough space to park a single vehicle plus bikes/ski equipment in the garage itself, and an additional 4 parking spaces on the driveway. The driveway faces south, which means the sun warms up the driveway and melts away light snow very quickly.
