Onze hacienda ligt in het hart van Taos, grenzend aan Kit Carson Park en op slechts 5 blokken van het historische Taos Plaza. Het huis ligt op een groot perceel, op slechts een steenworp afstand van onontwikkelde Taos Pueblo-landen, en is erg rustig en vredig. Veel vogels, konijntjes en een kleine prairiehondenkolonie die leuk zijn om te observeren.
Traditionele Adobe-stijl met prachtige Viga-plafonds, tegels, plavuizen en houten vloeren.
3 slaapkamers: 1 kingsize slaapkamer met eigen badkamer, 1 kingsize slaapkamer en 1 grote slaapkamer delen een badkamer, extra 1/2 bad is naast de wasruimte, 2 1/2 badkamers in totaal.
Volledig ingerichte keuken gevuld met handgemaakt aardewerk gemaakt door de eigenaar.
Meubels in ambachtelijke stijl met door Taos beïnvloede kunstwerken en volkskunst.

I love to travel and enjoy VRBO locations and this home is the very best I have experienced. This place woos you from the moment you open the front door. Everything you need for comfort and practicality is there and easy to operate. Kitchen, bathrooms, towels and bedding were all clean and smelled neutral but crisp. I am so sensitive to smells and I had zero reactions in this home. Also the air quality in the home is so fresh, no mold or moldy smells. They also have a water purifier for drinking water and it was so tasty. The yard and garden is so cared for. This place is loved. I can’t say enough about this home. Absolutely my favorite stay of all times.

Great location!Very interesting home, kind of a cabinet of classy curiosities. Well stocked, plenty of room inside and out, and very pleasant. We were able to recharge our mind and body while enjoying great local cuisine. Don’t miss the Taos Pueblo. It blew my mind.No TV, Yay!!!

Great property located close to Kit Carson Park and downtown Taos. Easy walk to galleries and restaurants. We welcomed the comfortable rooms with air conditioning. Clean spaces with interesting decor. The porches were nice to sit on outside in the cool evenings.

Beautiful home, great location

We got exactly what was described. This is a beautiful home conveniently located within blocks of the plaza. Just a short walk to our favorites...La Cueva, Michaels, all the shops and galleries. You might think there would be noise....only that of the magpies, ravens, and the prairie dogs. The back porch is great, the front gardens beautiful. Just go ahead and book it!

Like being in a museum

There are so many lovely pieces of pottery, art, and furniture in this house! We loved looking around and seeing yet another gem. The landscaping outdoors is lovely as well—the iris were in bloom when we were there.The property is a bit of a walk to town—with some seniors in our group, we drove. We also learned there are no Ubers or taxis in Taos, so plan to get yourself to/from anywhere you want to go. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels in the bathrooms and the kitchen was well stocked, including coffee and sugar. We only stayed 2 nights; I could easily see staying for a week.

Amazing home and location!

This home is absolutely amazing! Everything in and around the house has been done intentionally and beautifully! My family and I enjoyed our time here and would recommend it without hesitation! Perfect Taos getaway

The house is stunning, appointed in the traditional SW style. It’s very comfortable with tons of windows and lots of room to lounge yet the bedrooms are nice and private. An easy walk through the park to downtown and a 30 minute drive to Taos Valkey ski area. We will be back.

Beautiful house in a lovely quiet setting

This beautiful house is set off the road and has views of mountains.The interior is furnished with authentic New Mexico style furniture. The kitchen and dining area are large, well equipped and can accommodate family style dining. We found the heated floor a nice extra in the winter.

The Perfect Retreat!

An absolutely stunning home filled with natural light, showcasing beautiful artwork from around the world that added a unique and cultural charm. The spacious layout and large sunny areas created a warm, restful, and inviting atmosphere. Walking distance to galleries, shops, and wonderful restaurants. Stunning views of the mountains. James and Monica, our hosts, were accessible and graciously provided us with tips on restaurants, shopping, and local sights. A perfect retreat for relaxation and inspiration!

Lovely property, perfect location

Everyone who visited during our 2-week stay loved the house and said it feels like being in the country though it's right in town. The main drag (Paseo del Norte/Sud) is a short walk away through Kit Carson Park. Days were warm in July but nights were cool and we didn't even use the A/C. The house is well-designed with bedrooms (great beds!) in a separate wing from the living/kitchen area and lots of comfortable seating for reading and watching the ever-changing sky -- not to mention the prairie dogs. Responsive owners. A great VRBO find.

This home was nicer than expected. Location was perfect, condition upon arrival was pristine, decor was gorgeous right down to the beautiful dishes, and everything was in working order. As a bonus, the prairie dog colony entertained us each morning and evening.

Interesting history

We loved Taos! This home had great landscaping, very quiet, close to the plaza. The home had a "sunken" living room which surprised us. Each step did have a light to help remind us to step up or down. There were many interesting decorative items. The owner is a potter, so there are many useful pieces. The main road was under construction but getting around town wasn't difficult. Please see Taos Pueblo before you leave - inhabited since 900 CE.

The Perfect Vacation Spot

All 4 of us loved the house! It was the best equipped and most uniquely furnished of any VRBO we have rented. (And there have been many!) The yoga mat was a welcome surprise and I used it every morning. Thank you for leaving iPod tunes for us to enjoy and sing and dance to in the evenings. Sitting on the patio, experiencing the quiet beauty and occasional bunny or magpie was bliss! And our elderly bodies especially appreciated the very comfortable beds! Best place to walk to for food and live music? The Taos Inn! Thank you!

We had a small family reunion at this property for 5 days and nights. It was a beautiful property, adorned with local art and artifacts. We especially loved the Jim Wagner touches. We had a very minor issue with the plumbing and the owner had it fixed it extremely promptly. We couldn't be happier with this property and would recommend it. Close to the square and with a fabulous view. 10 stars!
