Speciality local hotel
It does not look like a traditional hotel. Rather it looks like a fortres form the outside. As soon as you get in you discover a set of villas, located in an isolated courtyard, lovely decorated in a traditional style. This is very much in-line with a local archtecture.

The property itself is unique and the grounds are well kept. We stayed in a junior suite room, which provided everything needed and was large and very clean. We currently work in Tashkent and I had planned a surprise 'get-away' and booked two massages for my husband and me. After I had mine, we were told that there was an issue with the heating in the room, and we had to change location to our room. They would bring a massage table. However, I did not want this, as it was all a surprise for my husband, and therefore the staff provided us with another room just for his massage, complimentary tea and fruit/nuts; we were also told we will not be charged for the second massage. All went very smoothly afterwards. Upon checkout the next morning, we were not charged for my husband's massage. Breakfast takes place in the restaurant which is spacious and tastefully decorated. Enjoyed the traditional music/musiciaians. Food was very good and varied; fruit, veggies, yogourt, cereal, breads, etc. Nice and fresh. Coffee a little weak for my taste. Some suggestions: perhaps for the large bed in the suite, have a 2 more pillows, ensure there are two housecoats, pairs of slippers; large shower head could work a bit better. For the massage, it would nice to have a larger room for two beds for couples getting a massage at the same time, and quiet, relaxing music. But these are suggestions only. I would definitely go back to stay at Ichan Qala. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

A delightful experience.

The 24h restaurant service is extraordinary, as were the staff in the restaurant The hotel facilities including swimming pool were absolutely excellent and the staff were outstandingly generous and helpful throughout, including, at the end of our brief stay, not only organising tickets for the train from Tashkent to Samarquand, but also accompanying us in a mad rush to the train station just in time to catch the train, which was only possible because of this intervention by the hotel staff. A quite exceptional hotel. The 5* evaluations are fully deserved

Tutto bene, conoscevo già hotel ed è stata una conferma. Personale gentile e cortese, colazione abbondante. Camere spaziose. Purtroppo c'è stato uno spiacevole episodio, ma più colpa mia...ho dimenticato 2 camicie e una pashmina in hotel. Arrivata la sera a casa ho chiamato subito. La persona che mi ha risposto mi ha richiamato ca 30 min dopo dicendo che hanno trovato 1 camicia e la pashmina. Le camicie erano nello stesso posto...Dopo 2 giorni di ricerca vana della seconda camicia mi ha chiamato anche il direttore dell'hotel. Molto gentile e dispiaciuto per accaduto. Ci tornerò sicuramente, ma un po' di amaro in bocca mi è rimasto...

Piscine et petit-déjeuner fabuleux. Aucun effort au niveau de la réception pour apporter de l'aide. Chambre disponible mais impossible de l avoir plus tôt alors que le 1er séjour nous sommes arrivés très tard et reparti très tôt. Mauvaises informations pour aller retirer de l argent.

Geverifieerde reiziger

Positief: Netheid, voorzieningen en staat van de accommodatie en faciliteiten
煉瓦造りの洋館といった感じの建物で重厚感があります。部屋はレセプションの建物をそのまま抜けて大きな中庭のような敷地にいくつかの、これまた重厚感ある建物が数棟あり 各建物ごとに数室ずつの部屋がある、という作りです。日本にはあまりない雰囲気で異国情緒を味わうには良いと思います。ただ 一般的なウズベキスタンの物価からすると高めの割に部屋は狭いです。まあ、観光で出かけて帰ってきて寝るだけなので 特に問題はありませんでしたが。 サマルカンドのホテルが家族経営でアットホームだったせいか、ホテルのスタッフが皆ドライでビジネスライクに感じました。悪いことではないので 好みの問題ですね。
