Our Board is picking up steam on making even more improvements to the pool, beach and buildings and grounds. Of course , it will all take time. But, I’m hopeful. Thanks again and glad you’ll be back. Thank you for being a five star guest. I will inform management about your concerns with the pool music volume and towels. I am so thrilled you were able to enjoy the onsite private beach and pier. It really is relaxing!

William, Thank you for staying for six weeks. We appreciate your business and hope you enjoyed the welcome gift we left for you, since you were a customer staying more than 30 days. We also appreciate you sharing that the disposal was working but temperamental and that the shower curtain bar became lose a couple times. We installed a brand new disposal and brand new shower bar during your stay, although you did not demand this. Also, the size of our unit is clearly stated on the ad. I am sorry you wanted a two bedroom unit that is more spacious. Fortunately, the one bedroom units are less expensive and we hope you liked that bonus. Also, the pool bar closing was updated in our VRBO ad several months back. I am sorry you did not see that change.

Thanks for the great review! There should be a small fan in the bedroom closet as a backup. I think the ceiling fan works without the light, but you might have to pull on the chain that is hanging down. Needless to say, we will take a look at it and check it out. Dear Frank- We are sorry you were disappointed. You mentioned we should have been more forthcoming about the café being closed. In the past, they had a small menu of 3 items and therefore we did not highlight the onsite cafe as a feature, rather we share our close proximity to many restaurants and attractions. We also provide names of many terrific area restaurants to choose from within the Welcome Packet you received in advance. Let it be noted for future guests that Ocean Pointe is in the process of likely adding a full service restaurant to our premises in the future. Again, there are many dining options within minutes of our unit, including one featured on a tv show! :) I’m not sure what you mean by “condo”. It is a one bedroom condo with a full kitchen, living room and bathroom. The square feet is approximately 575 and it is listed on our documents as a condominium. Regarding the “beach” being terrible, it makes me wonder if this was your first visit to the Florida Keys. Though the Keys don't boast the wide, expansive stretches of beach that other parts of the state are famous for, there is an abundance of small, sandy beaches shaded by palms. Scuba diving, snorkeling and fishing are the most popular activities in the Keys beaches. We also provide guests with nearby scuba stores, and boating/fishing options within our Welcome Packet that you received. Our complex now has kayaks for rent, as well. I’m sorry you did not take advantage of those amenities. Regarding the view being a concern, there are many pictures within our VRBO listing that show where the building is situated with regard to the mangroves and ocean. It is also noted in writing, within our VRBO listing, that the views vary depending on season and landscape changes and again there are numerous pictures of the view provided for our customers within our listing. So, I’m sorry this was a surprise to you. Before you arrived , our cleaner told us the towel bar in the bathroom was loose. We gave you a small refund for the inconvenience. The picture the cleaner sent me before you arrived and after, showed a loose bar turned that into a hole in the wall caused by someone who must have torn it down…. I told you about the loose bar ahead of time and you said “no problem.” We did not charge you a damage fee. We are thrilled that 110 of our 111 guests have had five star visits. Also, the majority of our guests provide ratings. Our price point is accurate to the property. Perhaps you could have paid twice the amount for larger beaches, better views and a larger Condo. I’m wishing you a lot of happiness and fun in a future vacation that is more suited to your needs.
