'I really wanted to give this place high reviews, but unfortunately the great pluses this property has (amazing location right on the water and views) are negated by an overzelous and controling owner. Prepared to be scolded, warned and admonished for many things a paying costumer would not in other stablishments. I.e. do not take the kayak out in the beautiful bay because it could be damaged by the coral..are u serious? Why have a kayak on the property if it cant be used. Or, dont leave the AC...

'Stay away from this host. They are unethical and completely unreliable. We received a call 24 hours before check in to let us know they were double booked. We had received a confirmation when we booked and several communications from them even a few days before the stay. Then suddenly when we were preparing to travel to Moorea we learned they were accepting a reservation that came in after ours. I would not book at any of their properties unless you want to risk having to scramble at the last...

'I was impressed with the Maitai Express. Coming to Tahiti I had stayed in a different airport hotel and was extremely disappointed. I changed my reservations on my return to Tahiti but wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful. Staff was amazing, cheery & helpful. 'We stayed after finding out it was reopening following a renovation. Overall the stay was enjoyable, but the room looked quite dated and the service had issues at times with delays in orders at the bar and the restaurant. The main pool is nice, the best bit of this hotel, and clearly this is still one of the better hotels in Tahiti. '

'We had to stay one night in Tahiti to catch the ferry to Moorea the next day. This hotel was walking distance to everything. The ferry, food, bars, and a grocery store to grab snacks and drinks for our stay in Bora Bora. Was a basic room. And very clean with friendly staff. '

"“goedkoopste” kamer geboekt met terras op de parterre. Boven mij was de kamer ook geboekt maar geen last gehad van lawaai, erg rustige ligging.S’avonds gegeten in het hotel en de maaltijden waren uitstekend. Geen gebruik gemaakt van het ontbijtbuffet door vroege excursies maar een kopje koffie was gratis. Ontzettend aardig én hulpvaardig personeel! Gebruik gemaakt van de Spa, heerlijke massage en ook de dames die daar werkzaam zijn, zijn zó vriendelijk & zachtaardig. Op woensdagavond was er s’avonds een dansshow die veel toeschouwers trok. Tegenover het hotel kun je bij Albert een auto huren, ook voor een halve dag. Het dorp is op loopafstand, handig voor boorschappen! Receptie reageert prompt. Het hotel ademt een gezellige en ontvankelijke sfeer uit, ik kom héél graag terug!"
