I really loved your place, excellent location love the rustic finish. It was perfect. Only two things I could comment against are, the people upstairs walking around, thumping on the floor and dropping things was not the best, also a better quality mattress would be a big plus, besides that you have a wonderful place but that’s just my opinion.

Alice and crew were very hospitable. They had three great dogs Winston, Sebastian, Penelope. There also was a new dog visiting, which was a very nice dog too. The ranch House studio was absolutely gorgeous. We loved visiting the alpacas, emus, chickens, cows And goat. Such a great time we had. Oh, I forgot to mention the beautiful horses. We would definitely visit the ranch again.

The bunkhouse is quaint and unique. It's small but has plenty of room for what we wanted. The mini kitchenette was cute. The toaster oven/coffee pot appliance also has a small cook top area. We didn't use it, but it was really cool. There's a microwave and nice little fridge. The bathtub and shower are very unique. I really liked the whole vibe. The bed was comfy just a little firm for me. I loved that we could walk and visit the animals. I loved the quiet and how peaceful it is there. It's also great that it's only about a mile and a half from the main street. Alive was very nice and helpful. If you want a unique place to stay, this should be on your list. Great, less expensive inland place to stay and drive to visit the beach or participate many of the great activities and events in Paso Robles.

A Country Getaway
It was awkward finding the building. A direction sign at the top would cap that. The bed topper made me feel like I was falling in to the middle of the bed the first night. We put a folded up blanket in the middle and slept great the remaining 2 nights. It needs a luggage caddy btwn the sink and shower. One small dresser too.

Well kept vineyard/ranch stay with animals on premises. Minutes from quaint Templeton downtown, close to Paso Robles and SLO. Bring some ice, and best to eat out. Cute decor and fun bathroom.

A rare experience to stay at this lovely ranch, surrounded by animals, in the quiet hills of Edna Valley. The interior of the apartment was very elegant and achieved a rustic vibe but with a high quality build and furnishings. Very romantic and idyllic. The only thing missing was enough hot water to have a proper steamy bath. Otherwise, the complimentary wine, fireplace, and mood lighting made it a perfect one night getaway. Would highly recommend.

Awesome Anniversary Getaway!
I always like to experience unique properties when we are traveling and Z Ranch absolutely did not disappoint!! We were immediately welcomed by Eddie, then many of the animals, James and Alice. They all were so wonderful at offering suggestions for places to visit, showing us the property and allowing us to help feed the animals. We stayed in the “Bunkhouse” which is their smaller of their two rentals located on the ranch but it was perfect for my husband and me. The decor and the flow and the unit were very well planned out. It was extremely cozy and comfortable to come back to after a day of wine tasting. The bathroom is super neat also with the large basin shower. Make sure you take the time to walk over by the trees with the lights in them around sunset, the view is beautiful!!

We needed a place to stay after a weeks vacation in Sonoma & Napa. Our drive home to Southern California was a long one so rather than suffer the very long drive down boring I5 we decided to break it up with a stay halfway which put us in the Paso Robles area. This was a new stop for us and we just needed overnight accommodations. The Z Ranch Bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Immaculatly clean, simple but functional and very fun. Funky with character. The Ranch was a fun add. Highly recommended !

We were here at the Z ranch over the New Years holiday and we had a great stay. It was quiet, filled with start skies, and very comfortable. Close to downtown Paso and all the wineries which is what we wanted.

The property is so unique and nestled up in the hills. You are close enough to town for everything you need, but far enough to feel disconnected and truly on vacation. I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Getaway!
This was a wonderful trip with my two children. They had so much fun exploring on the ranch and feeding the animals! Our room was great! We loved the shower! I enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evenings watching the sunset. We will definitely be coming back!

It’s a great place to stay in the country and experience the farm animals and life there. Accommodations were very cute but not comfortable for extended stay. No where to store personal belongings- suitcases on floor and kitchen too small to do much more than make coffee. James, the groundskeeper was great and had funny stories to tell about all the animals -

We had a great weekend at this cute little barn house. It was super clean when we went in. The owner communicated with us on the day about check in. A bottle of red was provided for us in the room, very thoughtful. I particularly enjoyed the shower. It's surprisingly nice! We also saw lots of animals. When I sat outside in the morning, 2 cats and 2 guineafowls stopped by to say hello. The cats were very friendly. We saw the zebra too. beautiful animals!

Such a fun and quirky spot!
This property is exactly as advertised! There is beautiful fam country, a cute ranch bunkhouse (with a FANTASTIC shower!) and a menagerie of charming animals. The ranch hand (didn’t catch his name) was very nice and let us feed the llamas, which was a real highlight (shout out to Rusty, my favorite). We had a fire and wine and couldn’t be happier with our stay!

My youngest daughter and I stayed here and loved it!! James and Alice were kind and welcoming, and my girl loved the animals so much! The room was small but comfortable and very cute! It was tough to cook meals as the kitchen was so small but we managed and spent most of our time outside which was wonderful. We hope to be back someday!

Awesome stay!!
My wife, my toddler and I had an amazing time at Z ranch! We had been cooped up for way too long and this experience was just what we needed. Check in was really easy with great communication and included setting up a pack and play for our little guy. We really appreciated that. The room was cozy and perfect for our needs. The ranch is stunning. James was very kind and a pleasure to talk with. He introduced us to all the animals and gave us some alfalfa pellets to feed them. We explored the property and it was a ton of fun for my wife and I and especially for our toddler who was sooooo excited to meet the animals and roam. He kept shouting “free!” With his arms up as we went about. Cant wait to come back again!!!

Perfect Stay
I cannot say enough about this place! It was literally the next weekend get away! Every little tough was so well thought out!! James greeted us and was the best host. Took a walk around the property saw the amazing sunset and the animals were great!! Z the zebra was so hysterical. He followed us around! The cat, llamas, roosters/chickens, goat, and steer was the perfect mix. Plus if you want eggs you can purchase fresh ones right there. Highly recommend. I travel quiet a bit and this is one I’ll def revisit. Thank you for the best weekend In a crazy tine!
