I’ve been at cheaper hotels like La Quinta Inn that managed to provide guests with a beverage station all day. It’s small comfort that’s missing. Second, the room’s lights are a cold white. It gives the rooms a clinical feel, as though you’re in an office or hospital. Third, they didn’t have a toothbrush or laundry...

There were a bunch of kids that were not being properly supervised by parents. I realize this is no fault of the hotel, but it made our experience disappointing.'

The following morning, the lobby was lively with a conference and the location felt safe (which was only a slight concern because we were unfamiliar with the city.) 'Many things about the property were not as promised. For example, the ice machine and washing machine did not work at all. Communication with the host was opaque. They sent all Expedia messages as attachments. The checkout instructions were inaccurate. I brought all issues to attention of the host but they never resolved any of them.'
