Then curly wurly was a great idea instead of biscuits in the room. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. 'I grew up in Teesside in the 80's and live in the US - I fully recommend this hotel. The room was above the Three Tuns pub across the street - I guess they run both properties. My room had new bathroom fixtures and a great walk-in shower. My deal also included a full English breakfast downstairs which I'd recommend if you want to go hiking around Sheep Wash/Cod Beck for most of the day.
Brilliant spot to hang out - I will look forward to coming back on future visits to the Northeast anytime...
