'Property is contactless check in with no one onsite, however saw the housekeeper daily and she was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and the location can’t be beat! Free parking within Manitou and walking distance to every thing. Loved that I could hear the babbling creek behind the motel. Made for great sleeping. Great base motel for all the activities the area has to offer! '

'The hotel was very well located. You could walk to the departure station of the free shuttle to the Manitou Incline and the Pikes Peak terminal. It was also very quiet so I slept very well. The room had everything you needed. The continental breakfast was pretty ok, with boiled eggs and a waffle maker.'

'We did not have a working toilet. There was no attempt to move us to another’s room or adjust the bill. '

'Zeer gehorige accomodaties, de airco’s van de buren houden je ganse nachten wakker. De parkeerruimte voor de kamers is niet toereikend als er een paar buren met oversized vehicles aankomen. Zij moesten in feite op een andere parking gaan staan, maar blijkbaar kunnen deze mensen niet goed lezen. Jammer dat we door regenweer geen gebruik konden maken van het zwembad, want het zag er wel leuk uit. '

'So this is a tough review because I did not do my homework and didn’t realize where I was going. These are homes and maybe an old church converted to hotel rooms with the idea of being used for retreats, such as a marriage retreat. So pros: spectacular, hiking, extremely pleasant staff, very clean and a five star breakfast! Cons: this is not a hotel, so there are not amenities in the road, such as refrigerators or televisions. Overall, totally worth it! The castle is spectacular. '

'It’s a beautiful location with one of a kind views. Large and nicely appointed rooms. A/C/heater, fridge and several power outlets did not work. Even after informing the front-desk, these issues were not taken care of. Staff and front-desk manager seem not to care. Because of the great location we nevertheless extended our stay by one night and were told to come back later in the afternoon as we would move to the room above. We were totally fine with this. 'The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable, and we both slept good. We had a good breakfast and a nice talk with Arlene the host, who was very interesting and knew a lot about the area.'

'Had a great time. Staff is very nice and the room was nice and clean. Drinks at the bar are great and affordable. Using the grill was easy, all you have to do is check out untesils at the front desk. Only complaint is the late 4pm check-in. They'll let you check-in early for a $25 fee which is pretty lame.'
