'I had a lovely stay at the Staybridges. It’s situated in an excellent location with the tram station a short walk away. My suite was fantastic with excellent sea views and the Katara towers. The suite itself was well equipped, spacious and well maintained. The staff from Honey, Birmila, Zow and especially Torikul the cricket fan who always came with a smile and left my suite spotless. All the breakfast staff were attentive along with security especially with deliveries but lovely to speak to!...

'It was an alright hotel with a few nasty surprises/quirks: wifi was only free in the lobby and costs 50 QAR (13 Euro) per 24 hours in the rooms where one would of course usually use the internet. Then there is the swimming pool. Just when finished all work wanting to relax and enjoy the pool in the last daylight, it turns out to be ladies time. What a terrible way to receive international guests: separate and inconvenient times for men and women swimming. So glad this was only on business,...

'Nice located hotel, nearby the beach and various restaurants and has a gym with seaview. The rooms are not too big and not very soundproof, that is a minus. The breakfast buffet is extensive. It is sad and a shame to see guests overloading their plates and eating only a part. Maybe the hotel can charge a fee for not eating all the food, against unnecessary waste.'
