'Lovely hotel, perfect location and extra bonus points for being so good to our dog Merley. Welcoming dog bed, bowl and treats, always make any place we stay extra special. We can't wait to be back. It would be lovely if the hotel had a free on-site parking.'

'There was some renovation taking place during our stay. This didn't impact our stay but it worth noting that there was work going on throughout the duration. The staff were brilliant and really helpful. The parking is limited but great value if you are travelling by car and able to stay.'

'From our after midnight arrival to the manager who went out of his way to change us from one type of handicap access room to one that was better suited to my needs. This property was run like a well oiled machine. The staff overall was polite and helpful, which obviously was made possible by the manager who seemed to treat them all the same way he treated guests (kind and helpful) even when he wasn’t in the building the staff was exceptional. A rare find these days'

'Neat place above the pub. If staying in that section, the stairs are quite narrow to get checked luggage up - but doable. We booked through Expedia and it said no attendant on site - so there was confusion on where to leave our bags and we did not receive a response so we ended up paying Premier Inn to hold our bags. 'The hotel was ok, no more or no less than that. The pictures on the website were all of the newer bit of the hotel by the looks of it. Our room even said “old” on the invoice I signed. Bed ok, room had good furniture but too much of it so barely room to move. Window to a fire exit that kept banging in the wind. Shower screen might as well have been wire mesh as water leaked everywhere and flooded the bathroom which looked to have been happening for a while looking at the water staining / state...

'The property was warm and welcoming — truly a home away from home. The location was perfect, with everything within easy walking distance. We received a lovely personal welcome, including a thoughtful card and a generous welcome pack with a nice bottle of wine, chocolates, tea, coffee, milk, and biscuits. 'Stopped here for a few nights as we had a wedding to attend. All was good though I am a light sleeper and did have trouble due to a low pitched hum that persisted through the night. As we weren't staying long we didn't ask to move to a quieter room. If you are a light sleeper I would suggest you make it clear when you book that you need somewhere quiet. The food was good and reasonably priced and the bar prices were not as steep as some we have encountered in other hotels.'

'Alle kamers zijn op de 1e verdieping dus je moet een trap op. Het heerlijke ontbijt wordt op de overloop neergezet en je eet op je kamer. Op de overloop is een koelkast, heel handig! Het is een boerderij met schapen en koeien, leuk om te zien. In de omgeving is niets te doen, je moet er met de auto op uit maar in de Cotswolds zijn veel lieve dorpen dus je verveelt je niet.'
