'This is a lovely country hotel, i stayed last weeknin a garden room.
This week I chose a room in the Hotel itself which was great unfortunately the staff went home and left music playing in the Restaurant down below and this kept me awake !
The Management compensated me in the morning for the inconvenience which was good of them.
The food was excellent and the ambience was great so I will definitely stay again .'

'The food and drink was fantastic. The staff very helpful and their pub experience great! I wish we had more time allocated to experience this lovely part of the country. Also the cab service was fantastic and very flexible. '

Prima kamer, mooie locatie en heel centraal gelegen voor uitstapjes, prima service, aardige mensen en alles heel ontspannen waardoor we meer het gevoel hebben dat we bij vrienden hebben gelogeerd dan in een hotel hebben gebivakkeerd.'

'Great place to stay on a working farm. Room was spacious with a good kitchenette. There is a small, well stocked store to buy food/drinks onsite which is helpful as the location is not near shops. Location is great being right near the walking and cycling trails. '

'Lovely quiet village not far from Thirsk and the A1(M). A friendly welcome and a clean comfortable room. We booked for dinner and the food was delicious and service equally friendly. A 10 minute walk after dinner to the abbey ruins down the road was a nice surprise. Great bed and tasty breakfast. All in all an enjoyable place to stop over on the way up to the Lake District. Only down side was that we couldn't connect to their internet.'

'The room were clean, comfortable and well appointed with tea and coffee facilities. Bathroom was spotless with shower gel and shampoo provided and extra large fluffy bath sheets. A little warm due to excessive summer temperatures, however fans and air conditioning units were provided. Fresh milk and cold drinking water and ice was available at the bar which was a nice touch. We didn’t end up eating in the restaurant due to complicated dietary requirements, however everything looked delicious....
