'The property was beautiful and basically in the middle of the woods so dead easy for dog walking - also and outside hose which was really handy considering how muddy it was! The hotel is in a good location for the Redjet passenger ferry and the high street with bars and restaurants. 'We booked 2 sea view rooms for 3 nights. Only one room had a sea view and the bathroom in that room had black mould around the ceiling. The other room had a very old mattress and the bedding was old and thin. The pillows in that room were flat. We checked out after 1 night and will not be back. Whilst the staff were friendly, this hotel needs refurbishment, new mattresses, new duvets, pillows, blankets and linen. Mould is injurious to health and no hotel of the calibre that this hotel...

'Prima locatie in het hart van West Cowes, directe en frequente via boot en bus. Personeel is voorkomend en behulpzaam. Accomodatie is sterk verouderd en aftands, tegelijkertijd is de dagelijkse roomservice goed, en de bedden comfortabel.'

'Unfortunately the room requested was not available as we had our small dog with us so were allocated a dog friendly room which was fine but it only had a 4’6 bed which really is not expected these days. Following the downgrading of the room by the hotel and being advised that the room requested would be cheaper. The new price unfortunately was not honoured despite numerous requests for a refund so overall not the best experience.'

'The room seemed clean, dirty towel that was left was removed after this was pointed out. Room was well equipped with coffee maker and kettle, nice modern bathroom. To our surprise the room was not cleaned during the day and towels not refreshed. Also coffee, tea, water etc was not replenished. Breakfast in the local pub across the square was not good. No fresh fruit for instance and the used ingredients were not the best.'

'We enjoyed everything at the hotel. The rooms are a bit dated but I didn't mind that too much - it added to the charm because everything worked absolutely fine (shower, TV, kettle). The dining room is very grand and the food exceptional. The staff in the restaurant were super. Most of the staff elsewhere in the hotel were very good and welcoming.
