Great view & size
Property was in good location, with great calming view. Don was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. It was clean and is outdated but is a nice house. I think is perfect for family with kids or just for friends.

Not clean, lots of straight cats and he accused us of missing stuff.
Not clean! Stray cats, Nice guy but since we got there (Friday to Monday) he wore the same clothes (dirty) , house has some much potential but lack of maintenance and lack of cleaniness, . We sanitized, cleaned and washed all bed linings our selfs and when we left he accused us of stilling his bed covers and a clock and his shirts. Again so much potential but Not staying there again! Be my guest and get ready to deal with a Not well maintance house and hope you are not allergic to cats.

Great time relaxing location.
Overall this was everything my brothers and I were looking for. A quiet relaxing beach front property. The place feels very secure in a quiet neighborhood walking distance to a local market, a cafe and a restaurant. The property manager Don is very friendly and made us feel welcomed. We would definitely return back.

Great weekend......but!!!
let me begin by saying that the location and access to the beach was great. The owner was very attentive. The But!!! is because the house was not clean, there is pet hair everywhere and I mean everywhere, I don't know if it's from his dogs or the cats he feeds but it is pretty bad. I had to sweep a few times to get rid of it as much as possible. The cats come around and I believe they killed a rat which they left right by the back door which was full of ants therefore we washed it up. I would stay again if I was guaranteed that it was cleaned up properly. Also I can appreciate the love for animals but since this property is a rental the owner should consider his guests allergies and animal preferences also. Other than that we did not let it stop us from enjoying our family weekend.

Right on the beach!!
Loved the views from the balcony and the outdoor patio/terrace. The private steps down to the sandy beach are well maintained. The community pool was closed due to Covid-19, but the area looked clean and the pool was a good size. Don warned us about the stray cats around the property and he is working to spay/neuter and remove them which is a very kind gesture, but if you are alergic perhaps this is not the best option for you. Cat hair is very persistent and hard to get off the sofas and the patio furniture. Overall we had a great stay!

Dolphins View
It was great, the view is awesome, can hear the ocean waves thru your window. Don Avery, the owner, communicated well with us the direction to his place. So glad to meet him. We had a great time, his place is not too far from Rosarito and Puerto Nuevo area. Will come back again, possibly summer time

My guest Left early a live band was playing loud music, I ask is the loud music the reason for you leaving early they it part of the reason to depart early also said they wanted to beat the traffic on Sunday, the music stopped about 10-12 minutes after they departed they sang happy birthday, they were celebrating someone's birthday. I said I was sorry for the loud music, unfortunately, their timing was early. They were very nice people and are welcome to return.

Donald was very attentive. He showed us around the home and made himself available. The house is located steps away from a private beach in a gated community with stores and restaurants within the proximity. The surroundings are very safe and each house has their own personality.

What a treat!
The charm of the beachouse and the area and the views are priceless. If you expect 5 star lodging, go somewhere else. BUT if you want true Mexico and all the flavors and sounds that go with this cliff dwelling community and of the ocean, you'll find it here! Rest, relaxation and plenty of room. The only issue was the smell on the top floor,

Just discovered that a sewer line was plugged-up contaminating four houses with sewage, the blockage also blocked gases in the system, I just had a new toilet installed, going to reinstall toilet and make sure no leak is possible, I will notify the Gonzalez's when the toilet is resolved and give them a free night and a discount on more days. Dophins every day!
Lovely location! Just the ticket for a family get away. Plenty of room for the 6 of us. Nice patio space with a grill, fire pit and picnic tables. 50+ steps down to the beach or you can drive down, a nice option. Don is right there and very helpful if you have any questions.

Perfect get away place, Loved it!!
We came here for our traditional summer vacation that we take once a year and we just couldn't ask for a better place to stay. We could take a walk on the beach any time we wanted to, it's that easy of an acces to it, we fished right on the beach and almost every cast we took we had a fish, it was impressive how nice the fishing it's there. We loved the whole house, Don (the owner) the nicest guy you can meet keeps the house nice and clean, we loved everything about the house specially the balcony and terrace with the perfect ocean view that makes life worth while. Thanks Don, we'll be back next year! Luis.

Beautiful view
Owner very nice. Even after we had more people than we expected. Just paid him the extra per person charge. Was surprised he stayed in room next to garage, felt like we had less privacy. Good thing was he never once came out to say anything to us so that was good. Got unlucky and had no hot water for 2 days and there were ants in the house. Stray cats like to chill in the yard but didn't bother us. They were cute. Neighbors very particular about parking. Owner was nice enough to let us park 1 car in his garage. Overall was a good stay would stay again

Review of Dolphinview at San Antonio Shores
This beach house has a great location across from the Coronado Islands. The beach is large and well-used. The house is perfect for young people. The kitchen is well-equipped. The house needs many minor repairs. The owner is very friendly and helpful with any problems and is readily available. There is plenty of room for a large group. TV reception is good. We saw dolphins every day so the house is well named! Mimi and Bill Maginnis

Loved the view, the sound of the waves, watching the dolphins. But was never aware the owner would have 12 stray cats in the back area of the house. Cat hair all over the padded chairs, feces in the floor, underneath the benches, it was not clean and not hygienic. We are pet friendly but is not safe when we the cats are not clean, not vaccinated, and they are all over the place. My 3 year old broke out on a rash, plus the cats were wild, they would eat anything you left in the tables outside, or they would go sit on the chairs, and at the fire pit area too. We were extremely uncomfortable, looked for another place to stay but on a holiday weekend it was so hard, so I disinfected as much as I could, and expressed our concerns to Don the owner. Inside the house, dog hair in the couches, beds, and mats with lots white dog hair. The owner was nice, but received us wearing a black shirt completely full of dog or cat hair. I am not the kind of person that gives negative reviews but just want to give the heads up. I spend a very uncomfortable weekend, we couldn't really enjoy the back of the house, fire pit, and benches outside due to the cats. We cleaned, mopped, swept, and luckily I always carry cleaning supplies but I was suppose to have a nice relaxing stay, if I would have known about the cats I would not have chosen the beautiful view.

Amazing views and comfort
We had an amazing time enjoying the sun, sand and sea.. this property has lots of space and is well equipped for all your getaway needs. We especially loved sleeping with the doors wide open and waking up to the sound of waves crashing. The views from the bedrooms were breathtaking and the third room though in the back was surprisingly large from what we were expecting... overall great space, beautiful views and not too distant from town.

Beautiful views, safe quiet community close to pool & tennis court
Don is a wonderful host! He met us and showed us his home. He was very gracious and answered all our questions. The patio & house are dog friendly and safe. Steps go directly down to the beach. Fire ring was great for bonfires & roasting marshmallows! The beds and pillows were Super Comfy! Plenty of cooking utensils if you want to cook, but lots of great restaurants close by as well. Everything worked, was clean & plenty of fresh towels. Wi-fi worked perfectly. Thank you Don for a great stay!

Literally steps from the beach
First of all, Don greeted my family of five as soon as we arrived and gave us his layout of his home. We loved the outside patio area and used the fire pit every night. Nothing like sleeping and hearing the waves crashing nearby. The communal pool was also nearby which was a plus. Now if your planning on swimming in the beach, there is a sandy beach near the entrance of the community. Just ask the security guard when you check in. The beach in front of the property is a little rocky. Again, thanks Don for letting us stay in your great home.
