Dunes cabin
Another amazing stay at the Dunes cabin. All the amenities needed for a perfect stay. Comfortable beds, large kitchen and open living room with cozy fireplace. We loved the deck and hot tub especially on rainy days. Easy walking distance to Chesterman Beach , beaches groceries, and an awesome bike and walking trail that stretches for miles . We loved our stay here!

Beautiful Chesterman Beach
Comfortable cozy lots of room for 4 people, perfect for our stay. Hot tub was amazing, comfy bath robes, but there were only two and there was four of us. Loved that there were rain coats and gum boots in the closet although not needed for our stay, but the games and cards were a bonus and well used. Really appreciated the added touches. Excellent location, less than 5 minute walk to beautiful Chesterman beach, few minutes to Outside Break Tofino where you can get amazing food from Tacofini and delicious ice cream from Chocolate Tofino, two favourites, and it’s a quick drive into town. Did have a question for the owner but didn’t get a response in time. Would loved to have stayed longer and would definitely come again.

This is a great little cabin. While the grounds outside are somewhat overgrown with moss and ferns, this does make it a more private space. The hot tub was amazing and the kitchen was well equipped. The beds were very comfortable as well. The couches and chairs in the living room are very uncomfortable and should be updated. Otherwise, a great stay and wonderful location just walking distance from Chesterman Beach.

10 magical days in The Dunes Cabin
We were really lucky with a full week of windless sunshine late November in Tofino; then some (expected) rain! Our cabin had everything anyone could want, at a great location minutes on foot to either North Chesterman beach or Beaches complex, with an amazingly well-stocked convenience store (the teem doesn’t do it justice), excellent coffee shop, two great restaurants, chocolate shop, surf shop, bike rentals and yoga studio. We rode to Ucleulet one day on the paved (awesome) multi-use trail, had pole at Ukee Poke (excellent), went back to Ukee for a magical dinner at Pluvio, walked about 100 km of beaches, surfed, shopped, hot-tubbed (every day). We thoroughly enjoyed our cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone! Carla and Pete

Great Getaway
Our Tofino stop was 2 days of our week long trip to the Island and definitely the highlight! Wish it had been longer. Dunes cabin was perfect! Location great for us as beach so close. Seemed so secluded with all the trees/greenery. Loved the hot tub and the coffee beans/grinder ready to go. Bedrooms spacious enough. Kitchen amenities good. Washer and dryer useful as we were a few days into our trip and needed to use. Thanks!

Perfect location
The Dunes Cabin is ideally located in Tofino. It is only a short walk to Chesterman Beach as well as the multi-use trail and some great eating options. There is a free shuttle to downtown Tofino (summer months) and the stop is a short walk away. We would stay here again.

The Dunes Cabin was clean and spacious for a party of 4 adults. We really appreciated the countless 5 minute walks to Chesterman Beach. It is a close walk to places like Tacofino and the Tofician coffee shop. Would recommend this property for other first timers to Tofino!

Anazing place to stay!
The perfect location. Very very close to the beach and just a short drive into town that would be very walkable. Extremely private property on some really cool land. With just two of us we had more than enough space. Could easily have an entire family in there without feeling crammed. Overall would 100% recommend

Amazing Location
The Dunes is a charming little home just steps to the beach. It is private, well equipped and spotless. We really appreciated the private hot tub, comfortable beds, large kitchen, washer/dryer, and the rain boots provided.

Great little location for super close to the beach. Our family of 4 had sufficient space to do what we needed while enjoying paradise. The hot tub was a nice bonus for warming up after all our wet adventures.

I’ve never rented VRBO prior to this location and it was such a great experience we plan on VRBOing future vacations. A 5 minute walk and we were on the beach, we rented surfboards and walked them down. The espresso maker was the icing on the cake.

Comfortable Cottage in a perfect location
A simple, clean, comfortable cottage in the best location in Tofino, nestled in the trees but you can still hear the ocean. A 3-minute walk from North Chesterman and yet so easy to ride our bikes north or south to explore other beaches and the village. (Take bikes if you can! The Multi-Use Path is fantastic and gets you everywhere.) Space worked well for our family of 4 with 2 young adults. Large bathroom, well ventilated with brand new washer and dryer. Beds, pillows and sheets were clean and comfortable. The hot tub was well maintained and a nice bonus after a long day! Chris and Katarina were very responsive. The one thing I would add is more lighting in the back bedroom. It is very dim/dark, even during daytime, since the cottage is located in the trees.

The cabin is situated about a block from the water. Ideal if you like spending time on the beach or want to wear your wetsuit right from the cabin. The cabin is well appointed for cooking. The hot tub is a nice option.

Close to Chesterman!
We were happy with our stay! The location is great if you have surfers in the crowd as Chesterman Beach is just over a block away. The kitchen was pretty well stocked. It was quite rainy for the first couple of days so weren't able to enjoy the sweet little deck area. We appreciated the gumboots and raincoats for walks to the beach. Overall, a good spot!

The location and setting werr excellent. One bedroom does not have a window. There is a door but no screen on it so we did not open it at night therefore it was a little stuffy while sleeping.

Well equipped guest house!
Very clean and well equipped. More lighting on driveway and walkway would be beneficial as we arrived in the dark and left in the dark. The kitchen was very well stocked. The only things we wished we'd had available was plastic wrap and aluminum foil. There were 4 of us, but only 2 robes.... 2 more would be better. Only 3 slickers. Patio sliding door lock has issues

Great location - building getting old
The location of this property has kept us coming back again and again over the years but time has taken toll on the building and there appears to be no upkeep. We stayed here this time primarily to have a hot tub and washer/dryer available. Except we found; the HOT tub runs but no bubble jets and was not very hot. The clothes washer wouldn't complete spin cycle (even with tiny load). I hope the bedding was cleaned before or after our stay... There is fuzzy mildew growing on many low touch surfaces, door hinges, shower walls etc. The dishes, pots and pans were very 'well used'. We found numerous bits of stuck on food and/or dust and had to spend quite a bit of time cleaning them before use. In the back bedroom there are now cracks all over the drywall and sagging nightstand. Netflix doesn't work on the TV in the front room. Also we found someone's old laundry in the closet. Place could really use a deep cleaning and general maintenance. Probably won't stay here again, or not anytime soon at least.

Perfect location for a relaxing getaway.
My spouse and I stayed at the Dunes Cabin in November. We found it was perfectly located with just a 2 minute walk from the beach where we had long walks watching the waves, surfers and the wildlife. The hot tub was wonderful after a day on the beach or out hiking. Tofino with several excellent restaurants is nearby. The cabin is private, clean and stocked with everything you need. Definitely recommend.

Perfect spot
I loved the location of this home—a block away from the beach and so private because of the many trees and shrubs. As another reviewer mentioned, the driveway is not marked but it is the first driveway on the right after you turn onto Howard Drive. And the code to enter won’t open the door unless you twist the lock. Other than that, this home has pretty well everything you need. There are bathrobes and lots of towels, and cozy beds with lots of pillows. There are even a few games. The kitchen is well equipped and the espresso maker was perfect. The couch was perfect for afternoon naps! The hot tub was fabulous, and again, so private. I would absolutely return here again. The only thing that wasn’t there (if it is important to you—it wasn’t to me) was a docking station with speakers for your phone. The wifi was great (I had a couple of workshops by zoom). Thank you so much!
