Beautiful home base
We spent a week reuniting with extended family here. The home was very comfortable and we enjoyed the hot tub at the end of our day hikes. We had such beautiful weather which was an added bonus for seeing the sites. Very happy with the easy access into the house and communication with the host. Thanks for an enjoyable stay.

A few things fell short
Great layout of the cabin, great light and such a bonus that everyone had their own ensuite. Some of the interior finishes were poor quality and starting to wear out (kitchen cabinetry, washroom baseboards, plumbing fixtures) and there was mould and scum in the showers and at base of master tub. The dishwasher didn’t clean the dishes properly and the oven was filthy and took ages to heat up. Coffee maker has a used filter in it, and there was hair in the cupboards. No shampoo or body wash, which we were told after weren’t included but we could find in town. Couch is fabric and has stains on it. Downstairs sleepers said there is bad noise insulation between floors with footsteps and that the bedding was synthetic so they trapped too much heat. We liked the fireplace, tall ceilings and live edge accents. It was private and an overall nice place to build some family memories.

Perfect Location and Destination
We were a party of three couples. So the floor plan with three suites was a great arrangement for us. Also, the hot tub and outdoor living amenities were great. We spent lots of time on the deck sitting on the water’s edge.

Peaceful getaway
This property delivers. BEAUTIFUL home situated in the trees with water access. Very Scandinavian design with all you need to complete your perfect island getaway. Very clean, hot tub in the forest, all the amenities you could wish for on your vacation!

Wonderful stay!
My family with adult children had the most wonderful holiday in Tofino. J-Bay house was the perfect space, layout and location. We had a couple of minor things and the property manager was very responsive and helpful. Everything was quality throughout although we thought that the one towel per person and the quality of towels was a bit stingy. We also were a bit hot at night with the duvet and there we no lighter blankets available but then Tofino is not used to those temperatures I suppose. A great time was had by all and we all hope to go back!

The pictures don't do this place justice!
The photos in the listing look great, but this place is really amazing and you don't really get that until you walk thru the doors. My family, my husband and I and our adult son and daughter spent 3 weeks in BC in July. We stayed in 5 different VRBO houses and this was our favorite ...hands down. The house is spacious and beautiful. The beds and bathrooms outstanding and the view from the deck that sits on the tidal flat made me not want to go home. I watched eagles fishing each day! This is a fabulous place and if you are staying in the Tofino area this is the place to stay- its also just a 10 min drive to town!

Great for a family!
We travel with our little one (20 months old) and the house was a perfect space for them. It had a high chair, toys, baby dishwater and cutlery, and so much open space. On top of all that we could enjoy the dock or hot tub while they slept. The space is beautiful and full of light. I look forward to booking again for our next vacation!

Stunning west coast property
We spent four nights at this property. It is in a beautiful residential setting and nestled amongst the forest with views of the bay. The house is stunning, perfect for our family vacation. Having the hot tub and BBQ was a bonus. The house is well equipped, and all that you really need to bring is yourself, food to cook, and an intension to have a wonderful piece of oasis that is this property. We will definitely be back.

Wonderful family getaway
Our family had a fantastic weekend at J Bay Guesthouse. The home is beautifully designed and decorated. It’s well equipped with everything you’d need for a comfortable stay. My husband had plenty of space and everything he needed to make a full roast dinner! There were toys and a high chair available for my toddler too, which we appreciated. We also enjoyed a nice soak under the stars in the hot tub to wind down. The house is a short drive from the beaches and town, so it was easy to get supplies if we forgot something. Clear communication with the owners too. I highly recommend staying at J Bay! You won’t be disappointed.

This property has a great layout, we have the upstairs main bedroom to ourselves and our 2 adult children had their own private areas with large bathrooms and a common area. Very well designed house! I would love to live in it!

Spacious and scenic j bay guesthouse.
We had a lovely stay at j Bay guesthouse. Our party consisted of 4 adults and we had plenty of room to enjoy inside as well as outdoors. The grounds were very lush and private surrounding the hot tub. The boardwalk led out to a stunning view of the bay where many hours of reading were spent. Highly recommend staying here if your looking for a peaceful place and yet central to many fabulous beaches to explore. Hope to return.

Amazing vacation home
This house exceeded our expectations. We stayed with two kids and my parents, and the layout of the home was perfect. Each bedroom has an generously sized bathroom and ample space for suitcases. The master suite tub is a perfect place to soak in the morning sun. Location was quiet and ideal for quick access to beaches. Chesterman Beach is walkable. Only downfall was the home got a bit warm without any fans. Other than that it was amazing. We will be staying there again for sure!

Tofino Jensen’s Bay
This property is in a terrific setting - with the water of the Bay sparkling between the old growth trees in the evening. It is a 16 minute walk to the beautiful South Chesterman Beach and a quick drive into Tofino for coffee, or to any of the local beaches. The house is very well maintained with three bedrooms all with full ensuites. Great for adult children! We had a great time!

We really appreciated all the space in this vacation getaway. Our stay was comfortable. Would highly recommend bringing your bikes. One of our highlights was walking to Cox Bay Beach and watching the surfers whilst having a few drinks sitting outside at the Long Beach Lodge resort.

We enjoyed the location, spaciousness and exceptional cleanliness. Great that each bedroom had its own bathroom. There are lots of skylights that created light despite the rainy skies. Lots of nice touches…blankets for in front of the fire and timely communication from the host.

It was perfection: quiet, cozy, stylish, and the kitchen was very well-appointed with lots of great equipment for our culinary adventures. The location was wonderful and the beds were cozy. Rainforest Getaway was all we hoped for and more!
4 adults and 2 kids loved staying at this well-equipped, spotlessly clean home. The outdoor shower and hot tub were perfect after a day of surfing and the kitchen was fully equipped with all the things we needed to cook meals. The new restaurant at Hotel Zed is only a 10 minute bike ride down the paved path. We also loved the deck right on the bay for relaxing in the sun. The kids also enjoyed having their own TV in their room.

Beautiful property just a short drive (5 min) to surfing. Kitchen was well appointed with everything we needed. The outdoor shower was gold upon returning from surfing to rinse off sandy bodies and wetsuits. Comfortable beds in all rooms. Large open concept space made it easy for meals and gatherings.

Hidden sanctuary
The photos and description do not do this property justice! It is huge, peaceful, and gorgeous. The kitchen is well equipped, the hot tub is clean and located in the trees, the bathrooms all have rainshower heads! Every bedroom connects to a huge deck overlooking the bay/mudflats, and the little path to the deck with 2 Adirondack chairs was a peaceful spot to read books and drink tea. Jenson Bay is less than 10 minutes from downtown, and maybe 4 min drive to Tacofino and awesome coffee and artisan chocolate/ice cream. It is all the conveniences of being in Tofino with complete silence and nature when you come home! We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We've stayed in vacation rentals all over North America and this one rates in our top three! Not only is it a lovely home in a beautiful setting but it is so very well appointed, from the vast array of kitchen utensils to the extra towels for the hot tub and everything in-between. Plus, it was immaculately clean. We felt right at home from the moment we walked in the door and enjoyed a peaceful and restful stay. I think the best way to sum up this property is to say that before we left, we were searching the calendar for dates when we could book our next week back here.

Was a great property up to 3 couples where everyone would have a large big bedroom and personal space. The large open common area was very comfortable and nicely designed. This is by far the best equipt VRBO I have rented as far as the kitchen goes. There's was everything you could possibly need.
