As advertised, it backs into a busy A road so don't expect to be able to relax in the garden for long. Once the doors are windows are shut though the noise from the road is hardly noticeable inside. 'Spent 3 nights in Batty’s barn for a wedding where our family stayed in all 3 properties on the farm. The farm is beautiful with loads of colours from the wild flowers. The welcome basket with bread, butter, jam etc was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. Ed was super helpful so much so member of the wedding party broke down in the day of the wedding and he helped bringing the family member to the wedding venue being a true life saver! Beds were lovely and comfy and the house was lovely...

'Valentine Cottage ligt fijn ten opzichte van het dorp en het strand. Parkeren is wat lastig. Eigenaar is (alleen via mail contact gehad) heel vriendelijk en reageerde goed op onze klacht. Klacht is dat het huis niet schoon was. Ook nadeel dat er erg veel trappen en treden in het huis zijn. Geen lekkere stoel om buiten te zitten. Douchen is een ramp. Kan niet rechtop staan, maar moet in smal bad. Water niet goed op temperatuur te houden en weinig waterdruk. Als pleister op de wonde mochten we...

'The Lodge is beautifully clean , well equipped and with access to a lovely garden and views of all the inquisitive wildlife .. We enjoyed the walk along the River Lim to Lyme Regis and onwards to a walk along the coastal path and back to Uplyme. There isn't much in Uplyme , but Lyme Regis is close , especially by car , where we found very good restaurants . We had a fabulous weekend break and would highly recommend the Lodge.'

"We had a lovely time at the Frampton Arms. The room we stayed in was comfortable and very clean. Good shower. Nice and quiet after the pub is closed, which isn’t very noisy to begin with. The pub is reasonably popular and has nice outside seating. Good food and large portions. Friendly and helpful staff. There is the occasional train passing by, as the pub is next to a railway track and tiny station, but this doesn’t give much annoyance as trains are few and far between. Continental breakfast is mediocre. Free parking. Would come again."
