Ons resort in Wisconsin ...

Birch Lake Getaway is een 12 hectare afgelegen resort met 4 vakantiehuisjes aan het meer (hutten) allemaal vermeld op Vrbo en gunstig gelegen in de glooiende heuvels van centraal Wisconsin. Het heeft een 3 1/2 acre lente gevoed vissen en zwemmen meer compleet met vier stranden, meer observatie dek en strand shack.

Er zijn ook open ruimtes waar we ons volleybal / bad-minton-net hebben opgezet, evenals ons prieel, nog een vuurplaats en veel ruimte voor alles wat je nog meer in gedachten hebt.

Voor grotere groepen is Birch Lake geschikt voor maximaal 44 personen 's nachts voor bruiloften, bedrijfsretraites, familiereünies, kerkreizen en andere soorten grote bijeenkomsten.

Hallo mensen:

Wij zijn Sally en Terry. Wat een geweldige zegen was het om in 1995 over dit prachtige landgoed van 12 hectare te struikelen. Hoewel het enige gemak hier een bijgebouw was (inclusief geen sanitair of elektriciteit!) we werden verliefd op de glooiende heuvels en het prachtige meer. Als voormalige stadsbewoners en uitvallers van bedrijven die de keuze hadden gemaakt om uit het verkeer en het lawaai te stappen, gingen we naar het land met niets speciaals in gedachten, behalve om er gewoon even tussenuit te zijn.

Vanaf nul beginnen was een avontuur waarbij Birch Lake zich de komende tien jaar langzaam begon te ontwikkelen. Het was zo leuk om de mogelijkheden voor een eenvoudige ontsnapping naar de natuur te benutten; Variërend van het wandelpad in het bos, de kleine waterval en het dek op het water. Het was vanwege deze ideeën waarin Birch Lake ontstond. Toen we deze ervaring aan anderen begonnen aan te bieden, hebben we ons uitgebreid en de ene hut na de andere toegevoegd. Alle 4 staan vermeld op Vrbo. Elke cabine zorgvuldig ontworpen om aan te vullen en aan te passen aan de omgeving. Het was echt een genoegen om het geschenk van vertrouwen te ontvangen dat we zeer waarderen van onze gasten. De goede herinneringen die onze gasten creëren, vormen de sfeer van Birch Lake en de hutten.

This property is wonderful. The outdoor space is perfect and allows for ample access to enjoy your surroundings. Check-in was beyond easy and the space was set up with everything we needed for our stay. The lake water was a little murky, but it seems it depends heavily on which way the wind is coming from, just like any other body of water. Overall, we definitely recommend this property. We will definitely be back!

The property was great and we had a lovely experience. The hosts were responsive when we had questions.The only note I had was that the cabin wasn't quite as secluded from the other cabins as I was expecting, but that may have been on me and how I perceived the information. Also, the cabin is self serve which would have been nice to know before booking. It wasn't a problem for us, but may be for people traveling long distances or with a large load in their car.Overall though, it was a perfectly relaxing babymoon weekend for us which is exactly what we were wanting.

Great location and atmosphere. The kitchen was adequate for our needs, and we loved the hot tub every evening. The lawn was cut fresh, the lake was nice, the decking added nostalgia. We really enjoyed ourselves.

We had a lovely time at The Ranch! There was an odor in the cabin when we first arrived but it was taken care of quickly and graciously by the host and his team. We had a great time grilling on the deck and the hot tub was an excellent addition. We will definitely be back again!

Secluded Nature Stay

The Ranch is located in a quiet and private area and has multiple outdoor seating areas at the house. These felt private and comfortable near the water and with wooded surroundings. For the house, expect "older" components. The bathroom, windows, screen doors, kitchen appliances, and hot tub are older as well as the decor. We had no issues with this but it may be helpful to enter with that expectation. The lake was very covered with algae and not appealing to us to enter. We did take the row boat out once for a quick paddle around the lake. There was an outdoor smell near the fire pit and hot tub that was either due to the proximity to the garbage bins or from an animal in the woods.Overall, our stay at the Ranch was relaxing and we appreciated nature and the closeness to Tomah. My husband found biking around the area and to La Crosse enjoyable and easy to navigate.

Lake was Green

The cabin was clean and very nice and as described. Any questions i had were answered immediately through email. There was no check-in process. We did not meet anyone. When we asked for help with the paddle boat a worker immediately came.There was a smell like sulfur in the cabin. We determined it was from the well water. There were scented candles on the mantle. The hot tub water was slightly green the first day, Tuesday, and clear the second day. There was no chlorine in the hot tub. It smelled like the well water. The most dissappointing part was that the lake was green like pea soup. We did not swim. There is an aerator in the center of the lake but it seems ineffective. The cabin was nicely furnished, the bed comfortable, the bathroom modern and very clean. The path to the cabin was a mix of stones and bricks and was too uneven for my disabled husband to walk safely. The internet was poor. The satellite TV did not work during the storm or rain. Otherwise, it worked fine. The washer and dryer were a nice convenience.

Winter getaway

Our trip was enjoyable and relaxing. The cabin was quant and clean and comfortable. My boyfriend wanted to ice fish in a lake, but this is really a pond. It was not frozen, but we still enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing together. We took a drive into Tomah and went to the cheese shop and antique store. The area of the cabin was pretty and there was a nice trail to walk. The whole area was safe and peaceful!

The location is beautiful! The cabin is a great size and needs more basic amenities. We did contact the host in regards to blood on mattress covers and a comforter.. this was not remedied until the next day. We had to try to use the spare bedding that was clean to still use the sofa sleepers. Other than that, being unsanitary, the rest of the little things we worked with. Need to bring everything from home for your stay (toilet paper, dish soap, scrub brush, towels, hand soap..etc)

The property manager was very nice, when we got to the location, we went to the wrong cabin, Terry personally came and told us where we had ended up at the wrong location. When we couldn't figure out the TV, he sent his property maintenence person right away to show us how to work the dish. The facility in general nice but could use some updating, not complaining just an observation.

Overall it was a good stay. The bed was a bit uncomfortable, a bit too firm for me. The hot tub was very nice, we used it daily during our stay. The fireplace worked very well. A few updates would be nice. Bluetooth speakers for outside would be nice. A few of the outside lights did not work. It would have been nice to have the fire pit in a more private location.

Ranch cabin

The cabin is located on a beautiful piece of property in a secluded area. However the cabin decor was outdated and needed a good cleaning. Floors were dirty, inside cabinets were dirty. Blinds and curtains were dusty. Windows needed washing. The glass ware that was provided was a hodgepodge of different pieces . The pillows with the bedding were old and flat. Not comfortable at all. We made the best of our stay and had a great time.

Cozy Getaway

The cabin was very comfortable for the two of us for the weekend. We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening, and the wild life in the morning, drives through country, and shopping in Tomah.
