'The staff was excellent.. the rooms were clean . Seems that the management is disconnected from the hotel, and throw every problem to the staff. The hot water issue and the breakfast which wasn t great.. it should be the management / owners responsible to actually fix the proble and not just collect the money. But lovely staff and very helpful'

The staff provided excellent recommendations for things to do on Isabela Island, which really enhanced our experience. We truly appreciated the warm hospitality. 'Hotel ligt op een prachtige plek. Kamers zijn wat verouderd maar het uitzicht is geweldig. Zwembad is heerlijk en is prachtig. Personeel was echter niet super behulpzaam en reageerde cynisch op vragen en bij het opnemen van bestellingen. Diner is aan de zeekant terwijl het vroeg donker is. Ontbijt was aan de achterkant in een relatief sfeerloze zaal waarbij het zonde is dat ze dit niet aan de voorkant doen zodat je het uitzicht hebt. Kamers waren niet helemaal schoon, veel stof en vloer was...

'The Albemarle distinguishes itself in its attention to detail. Best shower I had in three weeks in Ecuador. Lots of hot water. Used books by the bed to read, board games...the list goes on. Plus the beachfront location is great with lots of bars and eating places within 5 min walk.Plus very attentive and helpful staff especially Samy at reception. Thank-you all of you for a short but special stay! '

'The room was spotless. Warm water showers!!! Reception desk staff, Carlos, was very friendly and helpful. Explained and helped with booking excursion and getting around the village. The restaurant accross the street had good breakfast and dinner and the bakery, also just accross the street, sold tasty baked goods. Highly recommend this hotel.'

'Lovely hostal on Isabella Island! I've stayed at 4 hostels in the islands and this one was by far my fav. Many lacked the social aspect, but here the owners have a lovely beach bar across the road where they hosted events (game nights, trivia, etc) which was great to meet other travellers. The rooms were spacious, shower was hot, rooftop area was nice. Only 1 item I disliked - 2 of the windows in my room were just screens at the top and couldn't be closed, so you could hear all the noise from...

'Really nice place to stay, very comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The food was excellent. Good advice and booking for tours. Location is a short walk from main centre, a few mins, but that makes it nice and quiet. Close to harbour so easy access from ferry.'
