'The location is good, by the river, although it’s next to a 60mph road so cars rushing by are heard throughout the night. On the booking page there were pictures of a fairly new, cute round wooden ‘pod’, which would suit the name Glamping pods as advertised. The pods were actually present on the premises and looked really charming. We were very disappointed to find that our ‘Glamping pod’ was in fact a garden shed with double doors, which stood at an angle, had a weird combination of old beds...

'Geen tv, was stuk. Werd op ons aandringen niets aangedaan. Wifi alleen in vieze gemeenschappelijke ruimte. Geen aanspreekbare figuur aanwezig.'

'This is a great cabin in the woods and in the middle of the Highlands. A lot of tourist attraction are near by, so the location is great. Facilities are ok. Bed and shower is good. The couch is great and lovely to sit on after spending a day outside. Cooking facilities are good as well. Next time I would spend my stay in the Highlands here again. '

'Heel fijn verblijf gehad in dit huis op een prachtige locatie. Zelfs herten gezien laat op de avond. Mooi schoon huis wat van alle gemakken voorzien is. Niet super luxe maar voor ons meer dan fijn! Locatie is uniek. Weggetje naar het huis toe is ietwat stijl en was met de motor een beetje een uitdaging. Gelukkig had het al enige tijd niet geregend. Wij gaan zo weer terug!'

'Beautiful place, perfect for a little trip for my partner and I. Good distance from Fort William and Fort Augustus and has a bus station right outside too! Nice and clean and tidy, had towels, cutlery and things we needed for cooking. '

'The croft is very modern, very new and has all one would wish for on a short holiday break. We (family of 4) stayed for 2 nights and had a lovely stay. A lot of things to do in the Loch Ness area and Great Glen. You can sit outside on the nice terrace with nice view on garden and chicken that are roaming around. Simon and Anne did a very good job and made us feel at home.'

'It is a great property but don’t arrive late because there is not much communication until you arrive at the property. We arrived 3pm and you pick up keys at the coffee shop that closes arround 5:30. As long you get there early you won’t have a problem. Otherwise, the property is great! Very clean and spacious. One of the nicest place we have booked. '

'We enjoyed our week with family in this large and comfortable home. Twelve of us fit comfotably. Its location was ideal for exploring the Highlands, and the owners were welcoming and responsive.'

'We had a lovely stay in the Abbey. Apartment was spacious and comfortable. The ambiance and atmosphere was stunning. From here we made our trips to Inverness, isle of Skye and took the "Harry Potter" train in fort William to Malaig. Our daughters enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna.'

Chris is an outstanding owner and helped us with all the extras - including funding us a wonderful piper to add that extra special atmosphere to our stay and a driver to tour the Spey Valley distilleries. We were very disappointed to find that our ‘Glamping pod’ was in fact a garden shed with double doors, which stood at an angle, had a weird combination of old beds and a part of a sofa and some parts of a cupboard. Nothing near the pictures. Furthermore the damp smell could be coming from weather conditions, but there were 2 blankets (there are 5 beds, so?) and one cushion that didn’t looked good (used to be white) which might have added extra smell to the atmosphere. At least we were dry for the night although the sound of drops of water falling to the floor was heard throughout the night, a source of a leakage wasn’t found. Toilets and showers were fine, which was much appreciated. "
