The yard was unkempt and there were piles of leaves everywhere that migrated into the garage and into the home through the front door, as they were a lot of leaves gathered on the porch. There was minimal living space, the mud room & the screened sunroom had were made into sleeping spaces. There were towels left in the washer and empty gatorade bottle under the coffee table. There was a potentially hazardous piece of wood in the hallway ceiling halfway hanging down. There was a hole in the living room next to the fireplace that was never repaired. There seemed to be a roach infestation on one side of the kitchen in the countertop appliances (coffee makers & microwave), & the dishwasher. The owners were attentive and kept having the exterminator come, but the roaches never left. I just bought a can of spray to keep them at bay. I never really felt comfortable cooking, more than just using the oven due to the infestation. It appeared to be a 2-car garage, but the owners had taken up almost half the space for storage. The toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and laundry supplies were rationed and I ran out, so I had to purchase my own. I was staying over 3 weeks, so I required quite a bit more than what was supplied. It was adequate for my needs, as I wasn't really using it as a vacation rental, but more so a crash pad until my new place was ready. The owners were communicative & responsive, but the condition of the property made it hard to relax & get comfortable.
