We were very disappointed with our experience and we have stayed in many, many hotels. This was the first time trying a best western.
Upon arrival to our room, we opened the door and the smell of marijuana was so strong it hit us in the face. We refused to stay in a room with our child that smelled like skunk (this was supposed to be a non smoking room). We went down and requested another room and we were moved but the next room had a musty smell. Our friends, had to also move rooms because the sink was clogged in theirs. This makes me wonder the quality of the cleaning that is happening since the rooms didn’t seem to be ready for new guests but were being assigned anyway.
The hot tub was also barely warmer than the pool, we called the front desk and they said it was broken (This was the reason we stayed here so this was a huge disappointment and we were not told this at check-in ). At 9 pm, in the evening, the room next to us was blasting music so loud and yelling; we again had to call the front desk and ask if we could be moved. They said they had no more rooms available but would ask them to turn down the music. It was a good, 30 mins before this happened and it was quiet enough to sleep.
We also used the fitness center and the machines are very, very dated.
The hotel could be nice, but needs updates that seems to be ignored.
After this experience and the price of this hotel being more compared to others in the area, we would NOT stay here again or recommend.
